What achievements are you looking for? I want ASHTECH to establish itself as a leader in compliance software, offering all-embracing and mobile sales force automation, based on our own innovations.

What sets ASHTECH apart from its competitors? We really get into the essence and culture of companies and then translate their strategic objectives into innovative solutions. Making sense is a natural consequence.

Would you describe the SA software industry as dynamic and ground-breaking? At ASHTECH we prefer to concentrate on what we do best – solving actual problems in an original and hands-on way. Sadly, Corporate IT buyers often lack the courage to promote local solutions.

Who is your inspiration? My father, no doubt about it.

How do you make “sense of business”? To be able to add value to a business, real value, you need to understand how that business practically operates – to make in-depth sense of the dominant facts.

You’ve been described as a committed optimist. Yes, I am, and I got that from my dad. His favourite sayings were “Never give up and always be ready”. Also, “As long as you see a light, no matter how faint, there’s hope”.

How did you get started? Programming suits my nature. I discovered that businesses want solutions more efficient and costeffective. But you also need to know how to effortlessly implement your solutions.
