Goa, the tiniest state on the western coast of India, boasts golden pristine beaches, palmfringed avenues, flavourful food, delicious Portuguese-influenced sweets, and warm, hospitable people. Also known as the Ibiza of India for its partying. A tropical paradise of flora and fauna, from the very famous 'almi' (mushrooms) endemic to its forests, that grow only on the red mud anthills, to the solar prawns that are fished immediately after the monsoons, Goa is unique. Tourists are also attracted to Goa for its cultural heritage - from the famous old Portuguese churches like Se Cathedral in Old Goa, the 16th Century Safa Masjid in Ponda and Shree Mangesha Temple in Mardol, the legendary Arvalem or Pandava Caves where the Pandavas of the Mahabharat fame lived, to its two unique festivals - Carnival and Shigmo. Goa plays host to many festivals - the International Film Festival of India that promotes cinema, the Serendipity Art Festival, Sunburn Music Festival, The Grape Escapade to name a few. To showcase this varied heritage of culture, art, tradition, food, and people, in 2015 ItsGoa was born. The main aim was to make it the premier portal for all things Goa. We were able to showcase Goa like never before. Soon our blogbased website transcended the virtual space, with the ItsGoa magazine – a sought-after resource for visitors to Goa from countries like Norway, Germany, UK, USA, UAE, etc.

Shubham Prabhu Moni, at just 28 years old, has already established himself as a force to be reckoned with in both real estate and interior design. As a partner at Sossego Interiors, he leverages his extensive background in real estate management and construction to bring a holistic approach to
every project. His Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Master’s in Real Estate Management, combined with six years of hands-on construction experience, make him well-equipped to oversee complex design and execution processes.
Shubham’s business partner and wife, Yukta Kamat, shares a similar passion for design. Her academic background in pharmacy and an MBA from NMIMS provide her with the analytical skills necessary for project management, while her love for aesthetics has been the driving force behind Sossego’s design ethos. This passion for interiors took root while designing her own home, where she closely collaborated with Shubham. Today, Yukta balances her scientific rigor with a creative eye, delving into textured paintings and intricate styling to bring warmth and depth to Sossego’s projects.

The project faced several obstacles, including material and labour shortages due to the lockdowns, as well as the impact of the Tauktae cyclone. Despite these setbacks, the firm managed to source materials from different locations and kept the project on track.
The project was completed within two years, from demolition to new construction and interior design. The firm’s dedication to overcoming these challenges earned them a jury appreciation award from the Indian Concrete Institute-Ultra Tech, and the project was featured in The Architect’s Diary.

The Roots: From Dreams to Reality
Richa Kewalramani hails from the culturally rich city of Jaipur, famously known as the Pink City. Coming from a region where hospitality is deeply ingrained in the ethos of its people, Richa grew up with the belief of “Atithi Devo Bhava” – the idea that guests are akin to gods. Her early career in hospitality began at THE LALIT JAIPUR. However, her journey into
entrepreneurship truly began when she and her husband moved to Goa.
The couple’s first step into the world of Airbnb hosting came from a practical need – saving for a Euro trip. Renting out one room in their 2BHK apartment in Panjim, they welcomed guests into their home and enjoyed the experience of hosting so much that it quickly became a passion. They would cook Indian and Goan meals for their guests and even took them to local taverns, fostering connections and creating memorable experiences for each visitor.
After returning from their Euro trip, which was filled with valuable insights from staying at various Airbnb properties across Europe, they knew exactly what they wanted to do back home in Goa. The Route Affair: A New Beginning
Their first major venture was “The Route Affair” in Assagao, Goa. They poured their hearts into this project, designing the space with warmth and love, and it soon became a huge success. Not only did they cater to the needs of travelers, but they also took pride in making their space a true reflection of the Goan vibe – relaxing, welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing. Their venture soon expanded to Dona Paula, where they managed two more apartments, each designed with the same level of care and attention. However, like many others in the hospitality industry, COVID-19 hit them hard, and they were forced to shut down operations.
Despite these setbacks, Aman and Richa never lost hope. They chose to stay in Goa, a place they had grown to love, and began rebuilding their business with faith in their abilities and a deep belief that they could continue offering exceptional hospitality.
Today, they operate three properties, each uniquely curated to offer a blend of modern comfort and authentic Goan experiences.
About Aman
Aman Dev Pahwa originally hails from Gurgaon. After completing his civil engineering degree there, he pursued a degree in Construction Management at NICMAR in Ponda, Goa. For Aman, it was love at first sight with Goa. While working at 91Springboard, he received an offer to move to Goa. Despite being an only child and not wanting to leave his parents, his love for Goa led him to relocate with his wife, Richa, and their beloved dog, Sushi.
Aman is an avid traveler and a food enthusiast, and he’s also a dedicated workaholic. He is a dreamer with big ambitions, especially since starting Mirashya Homes. Founded in April 2020, they are now on the verge of reaching a milestone of 100 properties in just four years.
While Richa has been his pillar of support, Aman has been actively seeking new opportunities. He initially started GRENT, a venture that rented out anything and everything. Initially focusing on B2C, they have since shifted their model to B2B. GRENT has played a crucial role in connecting them with new property owners, as they supplied rented items to them.
