Sandy Sandler, the creator of Bowdabra, is here to show you how to make last-minute DIY Halloween bows and decorations out of ribbon scraps and other little materials. In this easy video, you’ll get to learn how to create Pixie fairy costumes such as pixie wands, headbands, crowns, bracelets, etc for Halloween. An added bonus – many of these ideas are cheap to make and some are seasonal enough that you can keep them around through Thanksgiving.
Halloween Spider Headband Materials: ● ● ● ● ●

Sandy folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra. She takes the 4 black chenille stems and places them right into the Bowdabra. Next, she takes the gold scrunchy ribbon and scrunches it down into the Bowdabra. She secures the bow with several wire knots in the back. She takes the orange headband it tied it up with the bow. To finish, clip the ends and adjust and shape the spider legs. And you have an adorable Halloween spider headband!

Large Bowdabra Bowdabra bow wire Green Mesh Little Bottle Golden scrunchy ribbon Grosgrain Green ribbon Grosgrain Orange ribbon

Sandy takes the 16” long mesh, brings it around the little bottle, and tied a knot. She folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra. She takes the gold scrunchy ribbon and scrunches it down into the Bowdabra. Next, she adds a little piece of green mesh, grosgrain orange, and green ribbons on the Bowdabra. She secures the bow with several wire knots in the back. She takes the bow and tied it up with the bottle. orange headband it tied it up with the bow. To finish it, she shapes everything properly.

Pipe Cleaners – Yellow, Black Large Bowdabra Black Mesh Black headband
Process: ● ●
Sandy takes the yellow and black pipe cleaners, twists them together, and places them on the Bowdabra. Next, she places a piece of black mesh on the Bowdabra and wraps it around the black headband.
And your Halloween Headpiece is ready!

Large Bowdabra Bowdabra bow wire Green Bangle 2 ½” wide Sparkly Mesh Necklace Beads

Sandy folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra. She puts a green bangle on the Bowdabra. She places 5 pieces of 2 ½” wide sparkly mesh on the Bowdabra. Next, she takes 5” long few necklace beads and lays those down. She secures it with several wire knots in the back.

Chopsticks Bowdabra Bow Wire Large Bowdabra Few pieces of Green and Brown Mesh Light blue mesh Green Satin ribbon

Sandy folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra. She places the Chopstick on the Bowdabra. She takes 3 pieces of green mesh and 1 piece of brown mesh and lays those down. Next, she places a light blue mesh to add a pixie sparkle. She takes two little pieces of green satin ribbons (5 ½” long) and lays those down. Then, she takes a Bowdabra wand and scrunches them all in. She secures it with several wire knots in the back.

Bowdabra Bow Wire Large Bowdabra Few pieces of Green and Brown Mesh

Sandy folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra. She places the crown (made with branches and leaves) on the Bowdabra. She takes a piece of green mesh (15” long) and places them. Next, she adds few leaves and a piece of green mesh. She places two blue-ribbon scraps, one 6” wide yellow mesh, 7” long three korker brown ribbons, and a little piece of 6” long orange mesh one by one on the Bowdabra. She secures it with several wire knots in the back and gives it a proper shape by fluffing them together.

Bowdabra Bow Wire Large Bowdabra gold scrunchy ribbon black-white ribbons green mesh blue mesh

She takes the gold scrunchy ribbon, puts the right side of the ribbon down, and folds this back again right side of the ribbon down. In this way, the right side of the ribbon is going to be on the outside, creating two loops. In the same fashion, she creates 2 more loops on the Bowdabra. She adds dovetailed golden scrap ribbon (13” long and 5” wide) on the Bowdabra.

She places 3 pieces of black-white ribbons on the Bowdabra. Next, she takes 2 pieces of green mesh (12” long) and lays those down. She takes blue mesh (64” long, 5” wide) and creates loops. She takes a black-white ribbon and makes 6 loops. Finally, Sandy secures it with several wire knots in the back and gives it a proper shape by fluffing them together.

Sandy folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra. She adds 3 pieces of 8” long green mesh on the Bowdabra. She places one 6” wide sparkly pink mesh on the Bowdabra. Next, she takes the shoelaces and creates 4 loops. She takes one piece of 30” long white mesh and lays it down. She secures it with several wire knots in the back and attaches it with the mask.
