As an analyst in a government agency with a background in architecture, I am interested in the macro context of built environments such as urban/regional planning, both in spatial and aspatial aspect. With experience in a public project, I am responsible for developing creative solutions and giving a holistic perspective to design challenges. Those transferable skills can contribute to my current role in preparing for coordinating policy planning related to economic and social welfare infrastructure in Indonesia's border region. I am excited to continue developing and exploring the intersection of design, planning, and public policy.

This project aims to build a new destination for recreation that provides education about the conservation of endangered plants in Java. Based on the developer's plan to create a new town center for the region that includes the recreational attraction to fulfill the demand in the tourism sector in the greater Bandung Metropolitan Area and mainly West Java.
The site for this project is located in Kota Baru Parahyangan, West Bandung. The site is located in the new suburban development area as the extension of the Greater Bandung Metropolitan area. The site's context is in the proposed new town center, including a new commercial and educational area The site is adjacent to the Saguling Reservoir. The Cipularang Toll Road and the JakartaBandung Railway pass this area. Near future, the Jakarta-Bandung HighSpeed Railway will make this area easily accessible from both Bandung and Jakarta

Background
Indonesia is the most biodiverse country in the world after Brazil. Due to the development, its biodiversity is being threatened. Public attention to the conservation of endangered plants still needs to be higher in Indonesia The leading cause is that there needs to be a medium for the public to understand the significance of plants in the ecosystem. Information about the conservation and the endangered plant also is limited to the public. Education about protecting endangered plants can be pursued through recreational or tourism activities West Java's tourism sector continues to multiply yearly with various segments. Tourists dominate the natural, cultural, and artificial tourist attractions (West Java Regional Planning Agency, 2017). The project is a response to the issues of creating a new recreational attraction that also provides education about the conservation of endangered plants

Bandung is known as the city of creativity due to its high concentration of several notable design and architecture schools. Some campuses have a strategic location and can be developed by adding other functions, such as commercial areas, based on land use regulations Surapati-Cicaheum Corridor has high traffic, and the region has some universities and schools Based on the context of the region, there has been a demand for creating a mixed-used building that accommodates the surrounding people's needs. One of the most potential programs for this area is college campuses and retail.
Site Analysis
The site is in the Surapati-Cicaheum Corridor, connected to Bandung's western and eastern regions There are several higher education institutions on the corridor, including Itenas The institution needs to expand its campus to accommodate the increase in students Another program that potentially completes the campus is retail. These typologies create hybrid activities that enrich the diversity in the context of the city.

The program consists of retail and educational functions The retail area is located on the podium of the whole mass, and the educational function is designed into two linear towers connected by the core. Connect both within a building, creating hybrid spaces as communal spaces accessible to students and the public. These typologies create hybrid activities that enrich the diversity in the context of the city.

Soekarno-Hatta Corridor crossing the southern part of Bandung It connected the western and eastern parts of the Greater Bandung Metropolitan Area. The corridor crosses the Rancasari sub-district, which needs an indoor sports facility to fulfill public needs. The project aims to create a sports facility for the region that can be a new public space in the southern part of Bandung. Through this project, the target users are expected to be able to use the sports facility for badminton and basketball. In such a way, the place will become an alternative for the public to exercise without going into Central Bandung
Pedestrian walk along Parakansaat Street, integrated with the open space in front of the building and connected to the main entrance to accommodate visitors with public transportation
The project allocates about 20% of the total area for green and open areas. The green space in front of the building is easily accessible by the public, creating a permeable space without physical boundaries..
Looping circulation for the motor vehicle is also a building safety requirement for the fire hazard.

Jalan Sekeloa is located in the Coblong sub-district, Bandung West Java. This area is a densely populated settlement. Settlements in this area grow unplanned without any guidelines. Due to their high demand, some houses were converted to indekos or boarding houses. Jalan Sekeloa has close and easy access to several public buildings, such as universities, government offices, and commercial areas
Co-housing is an option to meet the issue of limited housing supply. The building implements a self-sustainable building by using a rain harvesting system, conserving energy using a sloping roof as a solar panel, and using the inner court and terrace as small-scale farming to meet daily needs. The Inner court is also a shared social space between residents and a source of air circulation and light during the day.
