profile Studying architecture and urban design allowed me to develop my passion for design and the technical skills to work in an architectural firm. I have an excellent interest in urban microclimate and the environment. By exploring all relevant references and concept possibilities to create a new understanding to better design solutions. These skills and experiences I have gained, make me excited to be a part of this industry.

FOODTOPIA Regeneration Villages

FOODTOPIA is a project vision for changing the abandoned industrial area toward low carbon living communities. As we know, basic human needs will start again from the beginning. which is returning to food. Responding to environmental issues, we proposed new theme of urban farming. VegeTopia and FishTopia as an alternative food production in urban areas that can be a better choice. Tho connect both areas, new commodities themes are selected to have a mutual relationship. Both are connected with Wakato FoodTopia as the central farming exchange market. Each community prototype separated around the radius of 700 metre connected with a cable car, green corridors, and canal to the nearest prototype.

PROGRAM The basic needs for a typical food regeneration village of urban inhabitants.

By minimizing the footprint of the food production to the housing units. We free up the space to creat the closed circuits eco-system emits less carbon and phosphorus into the surrounding environtment.

To reduce the carbon footprint, how do these communities produce their own food and energy. Now Wakamatsu area and Tobata area will exchange their own commodities with each other toward mutual relation.

The aquaponic system produce fish and vegetables production place inside home, cultures or pound, and vertical for the regen home.

Is sorted into different categories, so it can be reused for multiple purposes. This waste will be processed into a biogas system that can be renewable energy.

Water comes from greywater used and water harvesting in all buildings. It will be collected by the water supply. The water must be processed before it will distribute again to all buildings.

Ivan Danny Dwiputra

Bacteria processed into the fish feed in the fishtopia system. Fish feses processed into plantation fertilizer in the vegetopia system.

On the villages provides energy for the home and distributes the energy surplus of energy to the smart grid. The energy produces in the biogas is added to the smart grid.

Civic Center The outdoor microclimate is as important as the indoor climate. Based on the local thermal study and careful site analysis, we propose a coherent urban microclimate and the human scale. The thoughtful design of the public realm can create a thermally comfortable, attractive, more healthy, and good urban environment using architecture. This project is designed with a software simulation approach to outdoor thermal space. The towers are rising by spread to accommodate the wind flow and protect sun radiation from east to east.

Designing For Civic Uses

Remembrance Day: The building decorated with flags or another special character. The speeches are held in the civic square.

Religious Worship: Within one year Muslims perform their worship outdoors. In addition, the city center is also perfect for frequent charity events.

Inflatable Movie Screen: Gathering and watching together is a favorite activity. People often watch football or other events together.

Lunch at the Square: People working at the office can enjoy lunch under the tree with some fresh air, and watching some urban activities.

Holiday Market: Saturday morning, a good way to start the weekend. The square is buzzing with events and festivals.

Fun Under the Sun: Every day can be a fun day. Kids can play in the water future, crawl on the play art sculpture. The sculptures are made by Bandung local artists.

Air Temperature The daily average temperature decrease by 0.44 ° C from the existing condition with a maximum temperature of 33.13 ° C and a lowest of 26.44 ° C.

Relative Humidity Average daily humidity ranges from 42% - 54%. This humidity is influenced by shading, especially in the closed courtyard.

Wind Speed The average wind speed is 0.56 m/s. The orientation of roads and tall buildings in the direction of the wind blowing made turbulence and allows the wind to flow. Shadow Pattern The addition of the FAR value creates more shadows where the orientation of the area is perpendicular to the west-east.

LOKA BLOK M Palatehan Peruri Asset Optimization Master Plan Competition Idea Loka Blok M is a multi-business area with a Jenki architectural style that is integrated with various modes of transportation and office and commercial districts. Distinctive physical and non-physical characters, inclusive business models, and connections between modes of transportation made Loka Blok M become a distinctive district and different. Loka Blok M area not only plays a role as a transit area but also as an inclusive business area with a strong character.

20

Ivan Danny Dwiputra

URBAN INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY Genius Loci Jengki architecture is a physical characteristic that is strongly attached to the design area. Nonphysical strong character is the Adaptive Re-use process that takes place in M-Bloc. All Jengki buildings and heritage buildings need to be preserved.

Business Model Two kinds of business development models. The business is managed by PERURI itself, an inclusive business model that favors Small and Medium enterprises. And, businesses is managed by investors with maximum profit. So the profits from the second business model can be subsidized for the first business model.

Pedestrian Friendly This area is closely related to the mode of transportation and becomes the trajectory of the surrounding area. 2 Ujana (Plaza) and 2 Lesana (Walk) connect pedestrians with transportation modes and the surrounding area. These plazas are strengthened by the existence of preserved buildings and activities.

HEXAPOLIS New Capitol City of Indonesia

HEXAPOLIS is an urban prototype to build new cities in the economic resilience of developing countries in the XXI century. Imagine a city where people in developing countries can contribute to society and enjoy the freedom of urban life in a holistic economy. My contribution to this studio project is to propose the main concept and design a sub-area that has been shared with other team members.

From Mega Region to Micro-Size Neighbourhood

PRESENT

FUTURE

Redifine City The capital city of Jakarta is a Megalopolis city with an irregular city shape. We transform an abstract form into geometric and neighborhood forms.

RADIAL

HEXAGONAL

Loop Synthesizes three existing urban typologies: radial city, hexagonal connection, and urban modular. These schemes organize cities radially, create hierarchical zoning and allow sustainable growth and safety in all directions.

GRID

Transformation The rectangular grid is superimposed on each sector and the hexagonal rings optimize the proximity between the various axes.

Core and Support Efficient public transit access to be car-free within 8 minutes walking distance from the train station, by Streamlined rectangular blocks to a circular blocks in the city center.

Only some areas could be built for communal housing because the construction of these towers was in areas of historical artifacts that were buried in the past. Due to the huge need for space, we proposed the idea of adapting a “split level” floor arrangement in order to still be able to get lots of public spaces that can be used by the local community.

E V E N T C U R AT O R I A L

Indonesian Architect Week @Rio 2021 The two previous Indonesian Architects Weeks were organized as collateral events of the World Congress of the International Union of Architects (UIA). IAWT 2011 (Tokyo) and IAWS 2017 (Seoul) featured 46 and 53 works of Indonesian architects respectively and arranged through different curatorial formats. I was involved as a curator’s assistant to developing all of their concepts into a new architecture exhibition. This time I collaborated with an environmental graphic designer and multimedia creative designer. We created the first architecture exhibition with an immersive show.
