UVOD / INTRODUCTION
DEVELOPMENT OF THERMAL TOURISM IN THE ČRNOMELJ MUNICIPALITY
Iskanje ravnovesja med ohranjanjem naravnega okolja in potrebami človeka ter ohranjanje kulturne dediščine so elementi, ki nadaljujejo in dopolnjujejo idejo življenja v zeleni kulturni krajini. Neokrnjena narava, ohranjanje kulturne dediščine, prijazni ljudje ter družbena in gospodarska konstelacija so dobra kombinacija za razvijanje turizma in podobnega »mehkega« gospodarstva. V občini Črnomelj sledimo ciljem trajnostnega razvoja in razmišljamo o gradnji term kot bodočega vodila razvoja občine. S pomočjo vizije razvoja, tople vode kot tudi pravega investitorja želimo ideje uresničiti.
The quest for balance between the conservation of natural environment and human needs and the preservation of cultural heritage are elements, which continue and complement the idea of life in a green manmade environment. Unspoiled nature, preservation of cultural heritage, friendly people, and social and economic constellation make a good combination for the development of tourism and similar “soft” economy. The Municipality of Črnomelj is pursuing the objectives of sustainable development and is considering building a spa as the future guiding principle for the development of the municipality. We want to turn our ideas into reality by using our development vision, warm water, and the right investor.
Obravnavano območje se nahaja v osrednjem delu Bele krajine in leži med Črnomljem in mednarodnim mejnim prehodom Vinica, vzhodno od Dragatuša, ki je pomembnejše lokalno središče z deloma že razvito turistično funkcijo. Območje je s turističnega vidika atraktivno, ima veliko naravnih in kulturnih kakovosti ter potencialov - leži v bližini krajinskega parka Lahinja, kjer se območja naravne in kulturne dediščine prepletajo z zanimivimi ambienti ohranjenih naselij: Dragatuš, Podlog, Brdaci, Šipek, Pusti Gradec, Veliki Nerajec. Območje predvideno za izgradnjo term ima strateško pomembno lego. Poleg obstoječe regionalne ceste Črnomelj – Vinica, ki je pomembna povezovalna cesta proti hrvaškemu morju, je načrtovana vzhodno od term in igrišča za golf tudi tretja razvojna os kot državno pomembna povezava Koroške (in Avstrije) z Belo krajino (in Hrvaško).
The area in question is located in the central part of Bela krajina, between Črnomelj and an international border crossing Vinica, and east of Dragatuš, which is an important local centre with developing tourism. From this aspect, the area is very attractive, as it boasts many natural and cultural point of interest and countless potentials – it is situated in the nearby vicinity of the Lahinja Regional Park, where zones of natural and cultural heritage intertwine with interesting environments of preserved villages: Dragatuš, Podlog, Brdaci, Šipek, Pusti Gradec, and Veliki Nerajec. The area to be used for the construction of the spa has a strategically important position. Next to the existing Črnomelj – Vinica regional road, which is a major connecting road towards the Croatian seaside, the third development axis is to be constructed east of the spa and the golf course to serve as a nationally important connection between Koroška (and Austria) and Bela krajina (and Croatia).
Koncept ureditve sloni na ideji, da je najboljši prostor tisti prostor v katerem prepoznamo kvalitete »praznine« in zlitja s krajino – arhitektura v podrejenem položaju: zasnova kompleksa, več samostojnih med seboj poveznih objektov, ki se zlivajo z okolico. Vsi objekti so pomaknjeni v gozd. S tem obiskovalci, kot tudi vsakdanji uporabniki rekreacijskih površin, ohranijo zasebnost, hkrati pa se spodbuja občutek bivanja v malih intimnih prostorih. Center dogajanja, jedro posega in vrtišče življenja predstavlja zelena jasa, ki je skupna točka vsem objektom: je prazna, namenjena naključnim povezavam v grajeni in naravni strukturi. Objekti so dolge lamele, ki se vitko in neopazno skrijejo v gozd. The layout concept is based on the idea that the best place is a place, where one can recognize qualities of »emptiness« and fusion with the landscape – architecture in a subordinate position: the complex design, several independent, but interconnected facilities, which merge with the surroundings. Being placed in the forest, all facilities provide visitors as well as everyday users of recreational surfaces with sufficient privacy, while at the same time stimulating the sense of dwelling in small intimate spaces. The centre of happening, the core of intervention and the fulcrum of life are embodied in a green clearing, which is a common ground of all facilities: it is empty, intended for random connections in a constructed and natural structure. Facilities are long lamellas, which, being slim, unnoticeably hide in the forest.

Hotel je razdeljen na dva objekta, podolgovati lameli, ki segata globoko v gozd in s sprednjo fasado vzpostavljata stik z jaso. Oba objekta imata konzolni zaključek s pogledom na gozd. Fasada je kombinacija stekla in ozkih lesenih lamel. Program prvega objekta sestavljajo glavna avla z recepcijo in barom ter spremljajoči prostori, v nadaljevanju pa hotelske sobe v treh nadstropjih.
The hotel is divided into two buildings, oblong lamellas, which reach deep into the forest and make contact with the clearing with the front façade. Both buildings extend outward in a manner of a cantilever that offers forest view. The façade is a combination of glass and narrow wooden lamellas. The first building includes a main lobby with the reception desk, a bar and accompanying rooms, and hotel rooms in three floors.
Kompleks term združuje v sebi naslednja načela: funkcionalnost, fleksibilnost in kvaliteto zasnove posameznih objektov; pa tudi zdravo, varno in prijazno okolje za obiskovalce. Prostori vključujejo v sebi naslednjo misel: vsak prostor ustvarja svet zase. Objekti so povezani z dolgimi hodniki s steklenimi površinami, ki usmerjajo pogled v naravo ter ustvarjajo občutek sprehoda na prostem.
The spa complex incorporates the following principles: functionality, flexibility, and quality of design of individual buildings; as well as a healthy, safe and pleasant environment for visitors. The rooms embody the following idea: every room creates a world of its own. The buildings are connected with long hallways with glass surfaces, which direct the view towards the nature and create a sense of walking outdoors.

SPORTS HALL
Športna dvorana je v prostor umeščena tako, da omogoča funkcionalne in čiste poti, hkrati pa obiskovalcem nudi direkten dostop iz garaže. Zasnova športnega kompleksa omogoča nemoteno uporabo tudi zunanjim obiskovalcem.
The placement of the sports hall into the surroundings results in functional and clean walkways, while providing visitors with direct access to and from the garage. The design of the sports complex enables uninterrupted use for external visitors as well.
ZASNOVA / DESIGN
Avla je dvonadstropen sprejemni prostor, ki predstavlja prvi stik gosta s kompleksom. Od tu potekajo komunikacije do ostalih objektov po steklenih hodnikih: na eni strani odpirajo pogled na jaso, na drugi pa na gozdni rob. V drugem objektu se nahaja restavracija, pisarniški in kongresni del z lastno avlo ter spremljajočimi prostori.

Restavracija je namenjena tako hotelskim kot zunanjim gostom. Ponuja prijeten pogled na odprto površino jase. Kongresna dvorana sprejme 240 gostov. Objekt, namenjen tej dejavnosti, ima več manjših prostorov za organizacijo poslovnih sestankov.
The lobby is a two-storey reception room, which is a guest’s first contact with the complex. It is connected to other facilities by glass hallways: on the one side they offer a view of the clearing and on the other a view of the forest edge. The second building includes a restaurant, an office and congress zone with an own lobby and accompanying rooms.

The restaurant is for hotel and external guests alike. It offers a pleasant view of the open surface of the clearing. The congress hall holds 240 guests, and is composed of several smaller rooms for organizing business meetings.
Zunanje površine objektov so sestavljene iz kompozicije naravnih materialov. Na fasadah je z naključnim rastrom ustvarjena mreža, ki spominja na strukturo debel dreves in nadaljuje idejo gozda. Novi objekti se tako zlijejo z okoliško naravo, postanejo bolj naravni, njihove trde linije pa se zmehčajo.

External surfaces of facilities are composed of natural materials. The random pattern of façades creates a grid, which is reminiscent of the structure of thick trees and further develops the idea of the forest. New facilities thus merge with the surrounding scenery, become more natural, whereas their hard lines soften.
