Passionate about architecture design and the new ways of finding form and comunicating a projects intent. Now a days there are numerous ways of gaining and feeding information into any given project from conception to completion; and it is something that I like to explore and develop through out the design process in order to create efficient, sustainable and a coherent habitable space. 01 location: Tijuana,B.C. year: 2013 company:teska (desing/construction) commercial development aimed at the gastronomic sector. the project aims towards LEED certification in an effort to provide better building performance and a better quality product for its users.

building a the project is divided in 2 buildings that face each other divided by the parking space that also acts as a central court yard. building A is the largest, and faces north almost eliminating direct sunlight for the most part of the day. this building houses most of the commertial area in a long open plant allowing for different area configurations depending on the needs of a given client/lease prospect. there is 1 main central area that has access to a 2nd floor and an exterior terrace that is design as a green-roof to breathe more life into this exterior space and its grey surroundings.

building B building B houses 1 commercial space laid out in 2 floor plans; and a small general service and storage area. this 2 floor plans give the building a larger look and feel, wile maintaining same typological aesthetics that balance both buildings in spite of their separation and area difference. every space in the project has an exterior dinning area overlooking the gardens; functional for most part of the year due to the way the building is oriented. the landscaping is made with all native plants to save on water use (no irrigation system was required) since they are drought tolerant and to help native biodiversity and preservation. the project also has an all native plant vertical garden that acts as a feature and provides more green area for the project, as well as a nice view from the smoking area.

sustainability the project has many sustainable qualities such as: - energy efficient envelope thermal insulation in walls cool roof assembly double glazing windows with low-e protection -solar control with metal meshes -rain water collection tanks in various spots -native plant landscape -lighting efficiency with low consumption luminaries and automated lighting control -vertical garden -recycling waste management -smoking area

Protei is Shape Shifting, Open Hardware, Sailing robot to sense and clean the oceans. Originally invented to clean up the BP Oil Spill pulling long oil sorbent using wind power by Cesar Harada, Protei is now a platform technology to transport scientific payload and clean-up equipment at sea, developed by an global community of scientists, engineers, makers and sailors.

RESTAURANTE location: Tijuana,B.C. year: 2013 company:teska (desing) general concept CASA KILIWA. place that accommodates a modern regional cuisine within an simple and elegant space with warn regional materials, like wood, and stone, making welcoming and pleasant space.

a space with minimum decorative touches and abstract references of the KILIWA and baja culture. giving place and center of attention on the food it self with a reminiscent french feel with the furniture presentation. discrete illumination and low light ambiance to create a more private and comfortable atmosphere. a transparent and modern wine cellar at the top as a decorative feature and to show off the wine selection as well as a small tasting area with in the cellar. there will be one main feature/wall sculpture located on the large front wall visible from all angles; inspired by baja mountains and kiliwa legends.

AIMO coorporativo is a 2290m² building lease space. it is located in one of the larges industrial parks in Tijuana. the building aims to develop flexible office space and accommodations for the business men that come from out of town to visit the parks plants. A type of business center for the excecutives that holds private offices, multi purpose space, security, moderns communication services, etc. The building will also be the AIMO (Mesa de Otay’s Industrial Association) headquarters, this is a body that coordinates and regulates all the parks activities, witch will also be the buildings owner and administrator. the building is design to have flexible floor plan interiors in order to handle different office area configurations. the street level floor is the commercial floor witch has 2 commercial spaces with street view and access, a main lobby/checkpoint and a multipurpose room to hold different private and public events,

one of the main goals of this project is to design a truly sustainable building that is energy efficient, water efficient and smart. we aim to achieve LEED PLATINUM certification and some of the sustainable strategies are as follows:

the buildings form is a result of a need to provide the mos natural light and ventilation possible to all the interior spaces. the buildings has a set back that forms the buildings main access and provides an atrium with landscape and hardscape areas that hel mitigate the traffic activities along the main boulevard. the office levels are enveloped by a large curtain wall that allows for only part of the direct sun light to pass through with the use of a vertical striped pattern and double glazing with low-e protection giving it different opacity variations throughout the facade.

Location: Tijuana,B.C. Year: 2013 company: teska-inovad (design) Multifamily vertical housing


condominio sonoita is a vertical housing building. located in between a commercial/gastronomic area and a residential and also neighboring the gastronomic district and the cities business district. the project is comprised of 15 3 bedroom units in 5 levels and 1 large penthouse in 2 levels with all accommodations from gaming room, green-roof, family rooms and service areas. the units are lifted from street level to gave the units more privacy and separation from traffic and also to gain a better view of the city from with in the building. the design is molded around a structural grid around a central core that gives it stability and that also houses all the vertical communications from the main lobby area.

each unit is laid out in a single floor plan. we set out to create interiors that would be in touch with the exterior views and at the same time maintaining a private and intimate atmosphere. the units have opened common areas that interact with the exterior with wide openings and views of the city; ant the private areas are more enclosed and intimate wile enjoying great views through large windows and balconies. the top 2 stories house a large residence that is laid out around the central core and in 2 floor plans. the lower portion is the main house floor plan with large patios and terraces. the top portion is the recreational area, with a large gaming room and roof garden and terraces.

location: Tijuana,B.C. year: 2013 company: teska (design/construction) paraje playas is a 130m² commercial villa prioritizing the outside open space. it is comprised of 3 medium commercial spaces with separation in between them generation a courtyard and gardens that invite the user in ando to appreciate the surrounding views. these spaces are facing west where one can enjoy the ocean views from the interiors and the exterior terraces. there is a level difference that separates the site has a natural slope towards the front side walk that gives it a clearer and wider vantage point and also creating a more private exterior space with and sloping gardens.
