Koprivnica is the central and the biggest city in Koprivnica-Križevci County. It is situated 85 km northeast of Zagreb and was named after a creek that runs through the city. PAPUK It is situated in the mountainous areas of Papuk mountain and was declared a nature park in 1999. This diverse geological area is the first and only geopark in Croatia. Udaljen 50-ak kilometara od Zagreba, smješeten je Karlovac - „grad na četiri rijeke“ - kroz kojeg teku Korana, Kupa, Dobra i Mrežnica. PARK PRIRODE LONJSKO POLJE Ovaj park je najveće zaštićeno močvarno područje u cijelom dunavskom porječju. Nalazi se između Siska i Stare Gradiške, a čine ga tri polja: Lonjsko, Mokro i Poganovo. Na području Parka žive 58 vrsta sisavaca, 16 vrsta vodozemaca, 10 vrsta gmazova, 38 vrsta vretenaca, 33 vrsta riba te čak 250 vrsta ptica. Najznačajnije ptice koje su indikator očuvanosti staništa su bijela i crna roda, orao štekavac, žličarka i kosac. Na području Parka registrirano je 550 biljnih vrsta od kojih je posebno vrijedna četverolisna raznorotka.

PARK PRIRODE MEDVEDNICA 1981. godine zapadni dio Medvednice, planine koja se izdiže sjeverno do grada Zagreba, proglašen je Parkom prirode. U Parku živi 91 strogo zaštićena biljna vrsta među kojima se ističe tisa koja je u Europi pred izumiranjem. Životinjski svijet je nekoć bio raznolikiji, a danas je planina stanište malih životinja, srne i divljih svinja, divlje mačke, lisice, kune i lasice. Posebni stanari Medvednice su 24 vrste šišmiša. SAMOBOR Samobor je udaljen samo 20 kilometara od Zagreba i zato predstavlja najstariju i najdražu destinaciju za jednodnevni izlet Zagrepčana, planinara, trekera kao i domaćih i stranih turista. Zahvaljujući svojoj bogatoj gastronomskoj tradiciji kao i brojnim događanjima, grad privlači ljubitelje hrane koji rado posjećuju Samobor. PARK PRIRODE ŽUMBERAK I SAMOBORSKO GORJE Područje Žumberka i Samoborskog gorja 1999. godine proglašeno je Parkom prirode. Nalazi se u sjeverozapadnom dijelu Hrvatske na samoj granici s Republikom Slovenijom. U Park se može doći iz grada Samobora, Jasterbarskog ili Ozlja, te mjesta Krašić i Klinča Sela. Područja posebne zaštite su značajni krajobraz Slapnica kod Krašića, posebni rezervat šumske vegetacije Japetić te park-šuma Okić Grad s okolicom. KRAŠIĆ Krašić je maleno mjesto u sjeerozapadnoj Hrvatskoj, između Zagreba i Karlovca. Blaga dolina uz rijeku Kupčinu te dijelovi uz dolinu rijeke Kupe dominiraju ovim područjem. Marija Bistrica je maleno mjesto smješteno u Krapinsko-zagorskoj županiji, udaljeno 40 km od grada Zagreba. Poznato je po marijanskom svetištu Majke Božje Bistričke kojeg svake godine posjećuje stotine tisuća hodočasnika. 1545. godine svećenik je zakopao čudotvorni kip Djevice Marije s Isusom pred Turcima na tajnu lokaciju. 1588. godine jarko svjetlo je obasjalo mjesto gdje je kip bio zakopan, te prema zapisima, kip je opet bio zakopan i otkriven još jednom, 1684. godine. 1998. godine papa Ivan Pavao II posjetio je Mariju Bistricu i ovdje beatificirao kardinala Alojzija Stepinca.
Krapina, prvi put spomenuta 1193. godine, smještena je u Zagorju. U 14. st. bila je slobodno kraljevsko trgovište i dom hrvatskog bana sve do kraja 15. st. Krapina je najpoznatija po ostacima neandertalaca čije je ostatke 1899. godine iskopao Dragutin Gorjanović Kramberger, geolog i paleontolog, u špilji na Hušnjakovom brdu. Danas se ispred špilje nalaze rekonstrukcije prethistorijskog čovjeka i životinja. Muzej krapinskih neandertalaca sa stalnim postavom nalazi se uz najpoznatije svjetsko nalazište neandertalskog čovjeka.
Veliki Tabor je tvrđava i muzej iz 12. stoljeća, a nalazi se tri kilometra istočno od Desinića u Zagorju. Peterokutna kula je najstariji dio dvorca koji je izgrađen u 12. stoljeću. Ostale kule sagrađene su u 15. i 16. stoljeću. Hrvatska plemenita obitelj Ratkaj bila je vlasnik dvorca do 1793. godine te je izgradila većinu dvorca. Oton Iveković, hrvatski slikar, posjedovao je dvorac od 1927. do 1935. godine, a danas je u vlasništvu države.

Varaždin se nalazi u sjevernoj Hrvatskoj, 81 km udaljen od Zagreba, te predstavlja veoma popularno turističko odredište u ljetnim mjesecima zbog svog bogatog kulturnog nasljeđa, mnogih muzeja, galerija, sportskih i rekreacijskih objekata kao i zbog tradicionalne kuhinje. Stari grad je srednjovjekovna tvrđava i najveća turistička atrakcija grada. Većina crkava i zgrada su sagrađene u baroknom stilu. Od brojnih događanja koja grad Varaždin priređuje svojim stanovnicima i posjetiteljima, izdvajamo Špancirfest kao jedan od najboljih i najposjećenijih festivala u sjevernoj Hrvatskoj.
Trakošćan je jedan od najatraktivnijih i najposjećenijih dvoraca u sjevernoj Hrvatskoj. Sagrađen je u 13. stoljeću kao tvrđava. U 16. stoljeću Trakošćanom je upravljao car Maksimilijan II. koji je predao imanje Josipu II. Draškoviću, banu i zagrebačkom biskupu. Nekoliko godina Nikola Zrinski je bio vlasnik imanja sredinom 17. stoljeća. U 19. st. dvorac je renoviran u neogotičkom stilu te je okružen umjetnim jezerom, perivojem i park šumom. 1954. godine osnovan je muzej sa stalnim postavom.
Grad Čakovec smješten je na krajnjem sjeveru Hrvatske. Premda povijest grada počinje još u 1. st., najpropulzivnije povijesno razdoblje grad doživljava u 16. st. kada dolazi u posjed poznate hrvatske plemićke obitelji Zrinski. Gospodarski procvat grad doživljava u 19. stoljeću. Danas je to moderan grad, grad po mjeri čovjeka koji se smatra najuređenijim gradom kontinentalne Hrvatske. Koprivnica je središte i najveći grad Koprivničko - križevačke županije. Smještena 85 km sjeveroistočno od Zagreba, dobila je ime po istoimenom potoku koji prolazi kroz grad. Usprkos burnoj povijesti, grad je uspio sačuvati znatan dio svoje kulturno-povijesne graditeljske baštine. Cijela stara gradska jezga predstavlja jedinstvenu spomeničku cjelinu koja privlači sve veći broj turista i posjetitelja. Osim po svojim znamenitostima, grad je poznat po bogatoj turističkoj ponudi od koje izdvajamo Renesansni festival koji se organizira na gradskim bedemima svakog ljeta.
Križevci su jedan od najstarijih srednjovjekovnih gradova sjeverne Hrvatske koji se prvi put spominju u ispravama kralja Bele III iz 1193. godine pod imenom Cris (Križ). Grad se ponosi vizurom svojih osam crkvenih tornjeva raspoređenih na prilazima gradu, tvoreći oko grada križ. U gradu i okolici nalaze se mnogobrojne znamenite građevine nastale u različitim vremenskim periodima. Danas su u njima smještene javne i kulturne ustanove. Križevci i okolica atraktivno su područje zanimljivih prirodnih, povijesnih i kulturnih resursa, parkova, jezera, tradicionalnih klijeti i vinograda.
Smješten na južnom dijelu Bilogore, Bjelovar je grad s višestoljetnom tradicijom proizvodnje mlijeka i sireva pa se ponekad naziva „gradom sira“. Osnovan je 1756. godine odlukom carice Marije Terezije i smatra se jednim od mlađih gradova Republike Hrvatske. U Bjelovaru vrijedi posjetiti Gradski muzej Bjelovar koji se nalazi na Trgu Eugena Kvaternika, kasnobaroknu katedralu Sv. Terezije Avilske iz 1756. godine te Glazbeni paviljon u središnjem parku - najveći kameni paviljon u Europi.
Čazma se nalazi u moslavačkoj regiji središnje Hrvatske, a od Zagreba je udaljena 60 kilometara. S obzirom da na ovom području ljudi žive od prapovijesti, Čazma je bogata kulturnim nasljeđem i ljudima koji i danas njeguju stare običaje. Svakako posjetite jedu od najljepših crkvenih građevina u Hrvatskoj – crkvu Sv. Marije Magdalene. Čazma je danas poznata po netaknutoj prirodi pa je svojevrsni raj za rekreativce, bicikliste, lovce i ribolovce. Ovaj gradić vrijedi posjetiti za vrijeme održavanja Božićne bajke ili Uskrsne priče obitelji Salaj.
Daruvar je poznati lječilišni grad s tradicijom liječenja duljom od dva tisućljeća, a krasi ga spoj gradskog zelenila, novih i povijesnih građevina te bogata ponuda rekreativnh aktivnosti kao što su planinarenje, jahanje, biciklizam, ribolov, lov... Doživljaj možete upotpuniti odličnom gastronomskom ponudom, staročeškim pivom i vinom daruvarskih vinograda. Ljubitelji lijepe arhitekture mogu uživati u najpoznatijoj daruvarskoj građevini – Dvorcu obitelji Janković građen u kasnobaroknom stilu.
Virovitica je grad smješten na sjeveroistočnom dijelu Hrvatske blizu rijeke Drave i hrvatsko-mađarske granice. Grad je to bogate povijesne i kulturne baštine pa svakako posjetite Palaču Pejačević, spomenik nulte kategorije iz druge polovice 18. stoljeća. Jedan od najljepših dvoraca Slavonije je Dvorac Pejačević sagrađen u barokno-klasicističkom stilu. Danas se u dvorcu nalazi Gradski muzej Virovitica. U sklopu Franjevačkog samostana možete posjetiti i Muzej sakralne umjetnosti i kulturnopovijesne baštine.
Smjestio se u gorskim šumskim predjelima planine Papuk, a parkom prirode proglašen je 1999. godine. Ovo geološki najraznolikije područje Hrvatske prvi je i jedini geopark u Hrvatskoj. Stijene na Papuku su stare preko 400 milijuna godina, a ovdje se nalazi i prvi hrvatski geološki spomenik prirode – Rupnica. Za obilazak ovog lokaliteta uređena je poučna staza. Obilježje Papuka su nepregledne šume, većinom bukve koje su stanište jelena, srne, divljih svinja, lisica i kuna. Iz Parka prirode Papuk ne odlazi se bez posjeta park-šumi Jankovac koja predstavlja posebni rezervat šumske vegetacije.
Požega je grad bogate povijesti, a prvi puta spominje se 1227. g. kada požeška tvrđa postaje kraljevski posjed. Danas se na tom brijegu nalazi gradski park sa šetnicom - Stari Grad s kojeg se pruža prekrasan pogled na grad i okolicu. Centar svih zbivanja u gradu je barokni Trg svetog Trojstva na kojem se nalazi Kužni pil iz 1749. g., crkva Sv. Lovre iz 14. stoljeća, crkva Sv. Duha i franjevački samostan, Gradsko kazalište Požega... Požegu je najbolje posjetiti za vrijeme održavanja manifestacija od kojih izdvajamo Aureafest, festival koji se održava krajem kolovoza i početkom rujna.
Grad Kutjevo se nalazi u središnjoj Slavoniji, smješten podno gorja Krndija. Kutjevo je grad bogate povijesne baštine. Spominje se prije više od 770 godina, a prepoznat je po glasovitom kutjevačkom vinu čija tradicija seže do srednjovjekovnoga pa čak i rimskog doba. Obilazak Kutjeva počnite na Trgu graševine, uređenom malenom vinogradu u centru grada uz kojeg je postavljeno bure na kojem je naslikan grb grada. U gradu se nalazi Dvorac Kutjevo koji predstavlja jednu od najznačajnijih baroknih građevina u središnjoj Slavoniji.
Slavonski Brod nalazi se na granici s Bosnom i Hercegovinom i predstavlja čvorište prometnih pravaca u smjeru zapad-istok i sjever-jug. Iako prvo naselje na području današnjeg grada seže u doba Rimskog Carstva (Marsunnia), grad je svoju današnju formu počeo graditi početkom 18. stoljeća. Urbani oblik i srednjoeuropski duh ponajviše zadržavaju u pamćenju Tvrđava Brod i Franjevački samostan. Slavonski Brod je poznat po nizu manifestacija koje se odvijaju tijekom godine, kao npr. Nacionalni park Plitvička jezera je prvi i najpoznatiji nacionalni park u Hrvatskoj. Privlači više od milijun posjetitelja godišnje koji se dive sustavu od 16 jezera, brojnim većim i manjim slapovima, špilji Šupljara i bogatoj vegetaciji. Jezerski sustav se dijeli na Gornja i Donja jezera od kojih 12 pripada Gornjim jezerima. Najveće i najpoznatije je 46 metara duboko jezero Kozjak. Glavna atrakcija je 78 metara visok Veliki slap – najveći slap u Hrvatskoj. Nacionalni park Plitvička jezera je upisan na UNESCO-ov Popis svjetske baštine.
RASTOKE Rastoke su malo slikovito naselje blizu grada Slunja. Nastale su igrom prirode gdje se zeleno-modra rijeka Slunjčica prelijeva preko sedrenih stijena u rijeku Koranu, stvarajući pritom mnoštvo slapova, brzaca, malih jezera i kaskada. Prema zapisima naselje datira iz 17. stoljeća. Rastoke svjedoče o impresivnom skladu prirode i ljudskih dostignuća pri čemu se snaga vode koristila kao glavni i jedni pokretač mlinova. Zbog skladne graditeljske, povijesne i etnografske baštine, Rastoke su 1969.god. uvrštene u Registar nepokretnih spomenika kulture.

Više od 700 godina star gradić u srcu Slavonije kojeg krasi prekrasan krajolik i okolica, a koji nude sve od rekreacijskog do arheološkog turizma. Razgledavanje grada počnite s posjetom crkvi Sv. Antuna Padovanskog te posjetite knjižnicu Franjevačkog samostana. Odvojite dovoljno vremena za posjet starom dvorcu grofa Pejačevića iz 1811. godine te mauzoleju i kapelici grofa Pejačevića iz 1881. godine uz koji se nalazi i grob kontese Dore, prve hrvatske skladateljice. U dvorcu Pejačević smješten je Zavičajni muzej.
Smješten u središnjem i najljepšem predjelu Slavonije, Đakovo svojim posjetiteljima nudi obilje povijesnih, kulturnih i prirodnih vrijedosti. Najvažnija sakralna građevina i ponos grada je katedrala Sv. Petra čiji tornjevi zaštitnički natkriljuju grad. Ponos grada su đakovački lipicanci koji svjedoče o dugoj tradiciji uzgoja konja na ovom području. Državna ergela Đakovo i Lipik osnovana je davne 1506. g. i jedna je od najstarijih u Europi. Svoj posjet gradu planirajte u srpnju, za vrijeme održavanja manifestacije izvornog narodnog folklora - Đakovački vezovi.
„Grad na Dravi“ – Osijek, smješten je na tek 20 km od ušća Drave s Dunavom. Kao četvrti grad u Hrvatskoj, Osijek predstavlja kulturno, gospodarsko i znanstveno središte Slavonije i Baranje. Bogata povijest ovog grada očituje se u njegovoj arhitekturi, običajima te gastronomiji. Razgledavanje ovog grada počnite s posjetom Tvrđi, tvrđavi iz 18.stoljeća. Najveći sakralni objekt u gradu je kon-katedrala Sv. Petra i Pavla s 90 m visokim tornjevima. Svakako dođite do „Kompe“, skele koja će vas prevesti na lijevu obalu Drave.
Gradić star gotovo 700 godina, nudi raznolike sadržaje za svoje posjetitelje. Dvorac Prandau Normann najvažniji je povijesno-kulturni spomenik. Valpovački perivoj s park-šumom proglašen je hortikulturnim spomenikom prirodne i vrtne arhitekture. Na obližnjim rijekama, jezerima i ribnjacima moguć je ribolov, a lov u okolici. Slavonski specijaliteti, divljač i slatkovodna riba te vrsna vina dio su ponude Valpovštine koju možete doživjeti za vrijeme održavanja manifestacije Ljeto valpovačko.
Prvi zapis o Donjem Miholjcu datira iz 11. st., a vezan je za igradnju crkve Sv. Mihaela. Smještaj grada uz rijeku Dravu određuje njegovu graničnu i tranzitno-turističku funkciju. Lijepi neogotički dvorac Mailath, s parkom koji je zaštićen kao hotikulturni spomenik, glavni je cilj posjetitelja. Miholjačko sijelo najznačajnica je manifestacija, a uključuje narodne nošnje, pjesme i plesove, te bogatu gastronomsku ponudu. Lov je moguć u neposrednoj blizini grada, a ribolov na obližnjem ribnjaku i rijeci Dravi.
Beli Manastir je administrativno središte Baranje. Službeno je proglašen gradom tek 1961. godine. U srednjem vijeku (13. stoljeće) ovdje je bio samostan (Pel Monoštor) i njegovi ostaci danas predstavljaju najzanimljivije mjesto za posjet lokalitet Lojmir. Od sakralnih objekata ističe se još barokna crkva Sv. Matrina iz 1777. godine, obnovljena u 19. i 20. stoljeću, a tu je i parohijska crkva iz 1759. godine. Svakako posjetite Bansko brdo – popularno izletište i vidikovac. Brojne manifestacije vrijedi posjetiti, a osobito Baranjsku jesen.
Park prirode Kopački rit je jedna od najvećih europskih očuvanih prirodnih močvara. Smještena na ušću Drave i Dunava, ova močvara dom je za više od 290 vrsta ptica poput orla štekavca, bijele i crne rode, čaplje... Park je dom i za desetke vrsta drugih životinja poput jelena, vepra, jazavca, dabra, lisice i kune... U vodama Kopačkog rita žive 44 vrste slatkovodnih riba od kojih su 35 autohtone vrste. Kopački rit ima međunarodno značenje. Evidentiran je kao „Ornitološko značajno područje“ i kao „Ramsarsko područje“, što znači da je upisan na listu međunarodno značajnih močvara.
Nalazi se na granici povijesnih pokrajina istočne Slavonije i zapadnog Srijema te je važno prometno središte i najveća riječna luka u Hrvatskoj. Ovo je grad bogate povijesti, kulturne i prirodne baštine i tradicije. U Vukovaru možete posjetiti dva moderna muzeja kroz koje je interpretirana kulturna baština - Gradski muzej Vukovar i Muzej vučedolske kulture. Grad je poznat po svojoj baroknoj arhitekturi, a najpoznatiji simbol grada je vučedolska golubica.
Vinkovci su smješteni na rijeci Bosut, 15-ak kilometara udaljeni od Vukovara. Ljudi su ovdje živjeli još od neolitika, a vrijedno otkriće koje to dokazuje jest Orion, keramički lonac oslikan crno-bijelim kvadratićima koji zapravo pedstavlja najstariji kalenadar u Europi. U antičko vrijeme ovdje se nalazilo naselje Cibale u kojem su rođena dva rimska cara, braća Valentinijan i Valens. Najvažnije kulturne manifestacije ovog grada su Vinkovačke jeseni i Rimski dani.
Najistočniji grad u Hrvatskoj, smješten je na rijeci Dunav i okružen obroncima Fruške gore te prekrasnim vinogradima. Gradić je to duge povijesti, a njegova srednjovjekovna jezgra predstavlja jednu od najvećih urbano-fortifikacijskih kompleksa sjeverne Hrvatske i Podunavlja. Ljubitelji vina svakako bi trebali posjetiti ovaj grad koji se može pohvaliti s činjenicom da su iločki traminac i silvanac bili služeni na krunidbi kraljice Elizabete II. „Iločka vinska cesta“ u samom gradu i okolici pruža mogućnost kušanja vina i obilazak podruma.
