INTERIOR DESIGN PORTFOLIO
I am an enthusiastic and energetic person who holds a Diploma in Interior Design at TAFE Qld and also a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from Pontifical Catholic University of Goias (Brazil). I graduated in Architecture in 2016 and worked for a year and a half in this field in Brazil. In 2017 I decided to move to Australia for an international experience and also to study Interior Design, which it was always a passion. I got enrolled at TAFE, Brisbane where I completed Diploma in Interior Design & Decoration. During my course I kept doing some freelancing work in design and architecture and could start gaining more local experience. After graduation, 2019, I came to Sydney for better job opportunities which I had. After couple of weeks in Sydney, I had my first job as an architectural graduate and interior designer. Since then, I’ve been participating of commercial and residential jobs, from small t medium scale. I believe great projects are the result of hard and collaborative work combined with passionate, innovate, sensitive values that transforms a place into a unique solution that responds to human needs.

DANTAS RESIDENCE
Interior project developed for my grandmother’s house in Brazil. This project was made in 2016 and the ‘Barbecue Area’(Image left side) was built as an extension of the house. The second image was a small living room fit out, around 15m² used as a dining and living room. In terms of budget, was quite tight and all the hard materials had to be used from my Auntie’s warehouse store, which was a challenge because the product range was very limited. Renders were created using Sketchup + Vray.
PROFESSIONAL WORK
The renders shown in this page were created with Sketchup (Modelling) and V-ray. No clients were involved. The design and decoration was developed by myself according to my own design preferences.

TENERIFFE APARTMENT
An Interior design proposal for a pilot Michael Egan apartment’s located in Teneriffe, Brisbane. Our goal was to elaborate a personalized project to Michael Egan which goes beyond considering his aesthetic taste and preferences, but also ensuring functionality and authenticity to his home. Regarding the client’s mid-century style preferences, we have laid some elements and colours from this period over the apartment, but without compromising the timeless and contemporany style of the project.

ACADEMIC WORK
SPATIAL PLANNING The Cabin layout has been devised to accommodate Entry, Living room, Kitchen, Bedroom, Nook and Bathroom, as required in the Client Brief. The spatial planning of the Cabin was inspired by the modern architecture, which has open floor plans, clean lines, proportional rooms and abundant natural light into the space. The idea was to create an open floor plan using minimal walls and allow the entrance of natural light and ventilation into all the rooms. Another concern was to create a good flow into the space.

For the bathroom, white was the main colour used in order to make it fe el bigger. All the joinery and cabinetry of the cabin has a yellowbrown natural oak c o l o u r w i t h g re y undertones that helps to create an attractive a n d coz y in t e r i o r design.
5 CABIN RETREAT LIVING ROOM
The scheme has been composed in a bid to crea te a wa rm, attractive, cosy and inviting space for the couple and family. We tried to create a bespoke Scandinavian interior, using a neutral colour palette and dark grey as a fe a t u re co l o u r . Instead of the typical Scandinavian white walls, we’ve decided to use a light beige colour on the walls, to bring more warmth and coziness to the space.

PEOPLE
LIVING THIS CONCEPT WAS INSPIRED BY THE CONNECTION OF PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS THAT CANBERRA UNIVERSITY PROVIDE TO ITS STUDENTS. THE IDEA IS TO CREATE A DESIGN WITH DIFFERENT SHAPES AND LINES IN DIFFERENT ANGLES. THE BLUE COLOUR OF CANBERRA LOGO WOULD BE USED AS THE ACCENT COLOUR IN COMBINATION WITH A LIGHT AND NEUTRAL COLOUR PALETTE, INCLUDING MAINLY WHITES AND DIFFERENT HUES OF GREYS.
UNIVERSITY OF CANBERRA CREATIVE HUB
The UOC Creative Hub will be located in the space currently designated as the TAFE Student Lounge on the Ground Level of B Block, 66 Ernest Street, Southbank. The area is required to accommodate a retail store which will include a waiting area, reception/counter, storage room, and an office, which will accommodate 8 workstations, meeting area, and a small kitchen. The Creative Hub proposal is in response to the growth of UOC Creative Industries Faculty and its presence in QLD, and the desire to create facilities that support and enhance the student experience. The intention of the project was to create something simple, functional, flexible, dynamic and being mindful of the budget which was AU$350.000.

WAITING AREA
In the office area, the workstations were divided into two groups. Staffs responsible for the student's service would sit next to the waiting area, while the others would sit on the left side of the office. The breakout area is located between the workstations to work as an office entrance and also a local where staffs could talk and interact.

OFFICE The colour scheme has been composed in a bid to create a cool, attractive, calm and inviting space. We have decided to choose different hues of blues to create a more dynamic and more aesthetically appealing space. A light timber colour was also proposed to be part of the scheme, and it creates a calm and natural warmth into the area. In order to bring greenery into the area green hexagon carpets were suggested to be installed on the floor to bring an idea of grass under the feet. Plants were also proposed to be placed around the space, as they help to purify the air and also they help to create a calm and inviting space. In order to create a sustainable interior design, the majority of the selected elements, including lighting, furniture, and hard finishes are eco-friendly. This area has low entrance of natural light any time of the day. For this reason, we have decided to avoid dark colours on the walls, aiming to minimize the amount of
RETAIL STORE The Retail store will have mounted shelving along the back wall and some plinth display next to the entrance. To create an inviting and welcoming space, reading nooks were proposed next to the display shelves and armchairs were also suggested for it. The counter is located on the left side of the retail store, in front of the waiting area and next to the office. It was designed to fit two people and during busy periods it could also work as a service counter to attend students. The design was inspired by the logo of the University of Canberra and by the phrase ‘Connecting people living’’ present in the University of Canberra statement. The hexagon shape presents all over the space is a result of the logo analysis and exploration of the words connection + living.
