Whether it’s a bad habit or something that causes you to get distracted from your purpose, it is best to let that thing go. Leave it right in2019! You want your new year, and your life, to bring forth positivity and prosperity. Bad habits will curtail that. Ain’t nobody got time for that!
Overcome Physical Challenges Fitness is usually something that people want to take on in the new year. There is always a resolution to this effect. But, what if you have already been physical. Well, if you have a good routine going, don’t become complacent and just accept where you are. Do more. Exceed your physical expectations and up the ante! Say goodbye to plateaus and push for greater.
Add Some Diva-Tude To Your Routine It’s time to let your inner diva do her thing. Yes, there is a time and place for everything. But, you don’t want to keep the divaness on lock down all of the time. Fresh in 2020 Now that 2020 is here, it is time to start fresh! Some of you may already be ready to make 2020 your year. For others, maybe you had a rough 2019 and lost hope in your dreams. If that is the case, we are here to tell you not to loose faith. Perfection doesn’t exist. You will have good and bad days. However, in order to embrace the new year, there are some things you can do that can open that path for you.

Reflecting on the Past Year- While it may seem counterproductive, doing a bit of self-reflection can help you transition into the new year with greater ease. Think about what you accomplished this year. What goals did you not achieve and why? What did you do right? What area in life would you like to improve? By taking some time-out to objectively to see what milestones and pitfalls you made this year, you can get a clearer picture of what you want your 2020 to be.

Cut Off All Negativity- Before stepping into 2020, you must let go of any and all negativity that plagued you in 2019. Whether that be toxic people, situations, or thought patterns they all need to go. 2020 is a big year for many. You don’t want to be dragged by any negativity that can hold you back. Let these things go and move forward with the belief that everything will work out for you.

Have A Mantra For The Year- Walk into 2020 with a mantra that you can turn to. It can be anything. Maybe you want to feel more confident. Or, maybe you want to be more successful this year. Whatever your goal is for next year, create a mantra that will help you stay motivated and confident.

Make A Plan- This is necessary if you want to get anything done. If you have big goals and dreams, write them down. This can be for any area of your life, especially when it comes to career and finance. There is a higher chance your goals can manifest if you write them down. It’s a great way to bring in good energy into 2020. Maintain that feeling of gratitude throughout 2020 and you will see more blessings pour in. on December 31st, we all know life resumes its regular schedule. You have to go back to the office desk you left, the car pick up line you frequent, or the gym you attend. So, the thought of shifting things around in the new year may sound like a cliché, but research shows that shaking things up even a tiny bit could essentially turn your flat New Year’s resolutions into sharp New Year’s revolutions. According to an Everyday Health article entitled, “Making Small Health-Boosting Changes Throughout the Year”, the smaller the change, the better the outcome. The most significant changes in our lives happen when we take baby steps By Alexandria Daniels toward our big goals. We’ve all tried to execute dreams as big as the state of Texas, but found it hard as hell to stick to our plans.
Here are 10 ways you can breathe new life into your world this
1. Sit still for 5 minutes each morning
When you wake, try not to jump out of bed. Take your time. Five minutes of stillness can change your life.
2. Change your playlist
A simple shift in your music choices can give you the boost of energy you need. Check out our newest playlist in the back of this Brown Sugar Box issue.
3. Take a new route to work
The new scenery can rejuvenate your senses. Leave a few minutes earlier to see how it goes.
4. Start a tea regimen

Being Healthy This Year By Saeeda Ruffin Resolutions are alright, but they often don’t carry the weight of a real “commitment”. So, for 2020, instead of just creating a laundry list of stuff to do for your health, get a fresh start and commit to being healthy...period. Think of your health with a more wholistic view, not just the physicality of it. There is more to you and your health than just looking good in that “dream outfit”. Try not to settle for just that. Push through, Honey!
Know Your Food Minimize or eliminate foods from your diet that you struggle to identify or classify. Opt for real foods that have actual health benefits. If you do that, you will likely minimize your exposure to gobs and gobs of preservatives, processed foods, and artificial ingredients. You don’t have to become vegan, but just know what you’re putting into your body, and consider its value relative to your health. This will make a major difference!
Do Something Physical Moving is about more than weight loss. In all honesty, weight loss is just a by-product benefit of engaging in some type of physical activity. Try not to make your physical activity simply about losing weight or sculpting your body, because once you reach your goal, you will likely let it all go. Nope, you don’t want to do that. Getting physical is a lifetime commitment, and there are TONS of resources and free resources online to help you.
Make Mental Health A Priority If you’re not sure where to start with this, let our team help you with this one. A lot of times, we make our health journey too complex. We find all kinds of strategies and then, struggle with trying to make them all happen in our lives. Well, that ain’t it, Chief. Keeping things simple will help you to make the long term change that will have the greatest benefits.
What good is it to be all fit and healthful if your mind is all over the place? Remember, keep your approach wholistic. Being in a safe, peaceful mental state is just as important as looking good. Take a close look at your life, the stressors, the motivators, and evaluate all of it. Whatever works, keep doing. Whatever causes you undue stress, find an alternative, get help, or just let it go. Prioritizing your mental health is about prioritizing your happiness and peace.
Live In The Now A fresh approach to living means that you give things in the now their due diligence and consideration. Learn from your past, but don’t live there. Part of taking a wholistic approach to your health is recognizing when things may not have been ideal and growing from those experiences. Your life is a totality of a myriad of moments. Understand that, and keep moving forward in 2020 for the betterment of you….All. Of. You.

Can I change my size preference for future boxes? Yes, you can do so inside your Brown Sugar Box account on izzyandliv.com, or you can email us at support@izzyandliv.com to update your preferences for you.

When will I be billed for next month’s box? You will be rebilled on the 1st of the month for the next box. So you will be billed for the November box on the 1st of November; for the November box on the 1st of December and so on... You will not be billed for the next box until after the box from the current month has been shipped/ delivered.

What is your cancellation policy? Your subscription can be canceled at any time in your Brown Sugar Box Account Settings at izzyandliv.com. If you’ve already been billed for the next box (1st of the month), your cancellation will take affect the next billing cycle. To cancel your subscription, login to your account and click on the Subscription tab, then click “edit” next to your subscription. You can also email us to request that we cancel for you.

Can I exchange or return items in my box? We cannot accept returns at this time for Brown Sugar Box items, but we welcome your feedback to improve. Can I skip a month without canceling? Yes, you can skip a future month delivery and not be billed for it, without having to cancel your entire subscription. Once logged into your Brown Sugar Box account at izzyandliv. com, you will need to open the “Delivery Schedule” tab. There you will see all upcoming deliveries for your subscription. To skip a delivery, you just need to click “Skip” to the right of each relevant delivery. This will only skip that one delivery. To skip multiple deliveries you will need to click “Skip” next to each relevant one. Alternatively, you can email to have us skip deliveries for you.

How can I share photos or unboxing videos with you? Yes! We live for customer feedback & reviews! Something went wrong with my order/ delivery what should I do? Should you have an issue with your box items (damaged, received wrong size, etc) you must notify us at support@izzyandliv. com, with photo(s), within 7 days of receipt of your package. After 7 days, we will not be able to process requests related to this month’s box. If your box was returned due to consumer error, please reach out to customer service for reshipment at an additional cost.
