o you want to build a snow castle? No doubt about it, you would make Elsa and Anna super proud if you did! Well, building a snow castle is just one of the activities that you can do during a week of winter wonderfulness. Winter is a crazy season. There can be really cold days and even snow! But, the best part of winter is making time for the people who mean the world to you, and who love to have fun, too! Lil Sis, keep reading to learn about all the fun stuff our team put together just for you to do.
1
Build A Snow Castle
You will need a LOT of snow to build a snow castle. It doesn’t have to be as big as your house (unless you want it to be!), but it would be cool to try to build a little snow castle that you can sit in with your besties. You can build the snow castle by making blocks of snow with either a large tote or container. Pile those blocks on top of each other until your snow castle is big enough for you to get inside! You may need an adult’s help, but it will be so awesome when it’s done. After you get everything set up, make it sparkle by sprinkling glitter all over it!
2
Host A Hot Chocolate Party
For this sweet activity, you will set up a table or space for you and your besties that will serve as a Hot Chocolate Bar. You are going to need some cute decorations (you can buy them or make your own), about 3 boxes of hot cocoa mix, mugs, and yummy add-ins such as marshmallows, peppermint candies, white chocolate chips, candy canes, whipped cream, and syrups like caramel or dark chocolate. Yummy! Ask an adult to help you with the warm water or milk for the cocoa. Just make sure the setup is SUPER ADORABLE! Of course, you can add other goodies to the spread as well, and it would be fantastic if you had some cookies, brownies, or even mini donuts for your guests to munch on while they sip their hot chocolate.

3
Make Fairy Snow Prints
One of the hardest things to do is to catch a snow fairy in action! Well, you can pretend you did by creating fairy prints in the snow. You will need 4 different squeeze bottles (you can get them at the dollar store), food coloring, and water. Simply mix the food coloring in the squeeze bottles with the water to make the “paint” you need for the prints. Then, go outside and “paint” fairy prints, with the colored water, everywhere you think a fairy would play!

Have A Movie Marathon
5
Invite A Snowman In
This is the easiest activity and one that can be crazy fun. Grab your popcorn, some blankets, and get comfy while you and your besties watch a gazillion of your favorite movies together.
Did you ever think you could have a snowman actually inside of your house? Well, you can! With permission and a space that will be easy to clean up afterward, you can bring the outside in. You will need a tub or a super large tote. Go outside and collect snow and dump it in the tub. Then, build your snowman! Don’t forget to have a hat, a carrot for his nose, buttons or pom poms for his eyes, and, of course, a scarf! The best part about this activity is that when it’s done, all the snow just melts away.
6
Get Artistic With Your Cookies
7
Create Winter Confetti
With an adult’s help, bake some sugar cookies. Then, using candy melts, frosting, sprinkles or any tasty candies you like, decorate those delicious little treats to look like your favorite winter things. You can create fancy snowflakes, silly snowbirds, or even an ice princess. It’s up to you!
Usually, confetti is made out of paper, plastic, or little metal bits, but, that type of confetti has to be cleaned up afterwards. For this activity you will create winter confetti out of leaves! Yup, it’s super easy and really a lot of fun to make winter confetti. All you need are tons of dry colorful leaves and different types of paper punchers. Simply punch the leaves with the paper puncher to make the confetti. You can keep it in bags for a special occasion or for days when you just want to celebrate being you! Let it loose outside and watch it fly. The best part of all...NO CLEAN UP! YAY!

Lil Sis, It’s Cold Outside
Ways To Stay Warm Wh e n Pl ayi n g O uts i d e By Saeeda Ruffin

rrrr! You know that wintertime means that things will be a bit chilly, but, sometimes, the weather can be majorly cold! That’s why it’s super important to be dressed properly for those times when you have to go out.
Winter weather can be really weird, too. It may be one temperature when you are in the house and then, when you go to leave, the temperature can drop and become colder within minutes. That’s crazy, right?! After reading that, you’re probably wondering what you can do to stay warm if you want to go out and play. Well, here are a few tips to help you not to freeze when you just want to go out and have fun:
Hand and Feet Warmers Actually Work!
Lil Sis, if you are REALLY going to be in the cold for a while, maybe you’re planning on playing out in the fresh snow or even ice skating, then, using hand or feet warmers would be awesome for you. These little packets usually last for a couple of hours, so you can play for quite a long time and still have something on you to warm up your hands and feet.
Layer those Leggings!
Your legs may feel a bit cold when you are out playing, especially if you are wearing a skirt. Well, one of the best ways to keep your legs warm is to put on leggings. There are so many kinds of leggings. Some are SUPER thick and are perfect for colder days. Not only will you look adorable with your leggings on, but your legs will be comfy and warm!
Stock up on Socks!
It is always great to have a LOT of socks. You will want to wear your thick socks when you are outside. Did you know that you can even put on two pairs of socks if it gets crazy cold out? Some of the best socks to have for the wilder winter weather (Try saying that three times!) are the mega-thick boot socks. Pair them with your boots and you will have the absolute best winter gear for your feet.
8
Wear a Hat and Scarf
You lose a lot of your body heat through your head. So, wearing a hat is a must. Scarves can be really cute, anyway. Get a couple to add to your winter wardrobe. Whether you choose the fanciest one ever or just something plain Jane, just be sure to wear it outside. Hey, even Frosty the Snowman wore a hat and scarf.
Don’t Forget your Coat!
Winter is NOT the time for those thin summer jackets. Nope. You need to have a heavy coat to keep those cold winds off of you. Everybody knows that winter coats can sometimes make it hard to play because they are so bulky. But, Lil Sis, they are a must. The last thing that you want is to have to come inside because you didn’t have your coat on and it got super cold. So put on your coat, THEN go out and play. You will be happy that you did!
Boot It!
Boots are PERFECT for winter weather. They will keep you warm and protect your toesies from freezing. Plus, boots are very fashionable. Little Fashionistas will look and feel amazing in them.
