he weather outside can be frightful, but this week of
winter wonderfulness activities that our team has put together will be so delightful! It’s all
1
Winter Chalk Mural
Imagine how phenomenal your shed or fence would look if you decorated it with a fancy, chalk mural. Ask an adult if it’s alright for you to color the space, then draw the most amazing winter mural ever!
packaged and planned for you and your besties to have the most amazing winter season ever. Packed with creative activities, opportunities to do something for others, and, of course, just plain fun, this activity plan will keep you busy!

2
Host An Indoor “Snowball” Fight
All you need for this activity is white paper. Each person participating will need to make about 10-15 paper balls, about the size of a tennis ball. Then...it’s on! It will likely be the BEST “snowball” fight you’ve ever been in, and you won’t even have to freeze while playing!
3
Snowflake Stringers
Now, these are some of the cutest winter decorations ever! You will need chenille stems and sparkly craft beads (like the ones you might wear in your hair). Take three chenille stems and twist them together in the middle to make a star with six points. Push beads on each of the points and loop the end so that the beads cannot slide off. Then, use an additional chenille stem to connect the stars together by twisting a stem to their looped ends. Make this stringer twinkle by adding fairy lights to it!
4
Pile On The Pillowcases
One of the most awesome activities you can do is to spend a day doing something for other kids who may not be as fortunate as you. Gather a bunch of plain, solid-colored pillowcases (you can even ask for donations from family & friends). Using fabric paint, write encouraging messages on them for sick or homeless children to read. The messages can also include pictures. Turn that pillowcase into the comfiest greeting “card” ever! Then, donate them to hospitals or shelters. You will feel great that you did it, and the kids will love the special messages.
5
Magazine Collage Art
6
Jewel Dig
7
Winter Lingo Singo
Get ready for this gorgeous art project! You will need magazines, poster board, glue, and scissors. Using snippets of images from the magazines, you will create a really wild winter picture. You can choose to do word art, or you can make an actual winter masterpiece. Either way, it will be WINTERIFIC!
This activity is mad fun! On a snowy day, ask an adult to throw colored, plastic jewels around in area outside. Have them cover the jewels with snow so they are hidden. Then, you and your squad go out there and dig to find them! After you and the girls gather them all up, you can have the cutest bejeweled photoshoot.
Along with your bestie squad, spend a day learning how to say different winter words and holiday sayings in other languages. It will be crazy fun! After you feel you may have mastered the words, try to make up songs using the new words and expressions. You can mix and match languages and words as much as you want. Just have fun!

Wacky Winter Traditions TO START WITH YO U R B E STI E S
By Saeeda Ruffin Everybody knows there are tons of holiday traditions. No matter what holiday you celebrate, there are things you and your family do that are a huge part of the festivities. Well, how would you like to try something a little different this year? Wouldn’t it be awesome to create a NEW tradition that is fun, cool, or silly... but something that is only for you and your besties to do together? Yeah, that probably sounds super intriguing.

Lil Sis, you are going to LOVE these! They are exactly what you need to add to your holiday season this year...and every year from now on. Here are 4 Wacky Winter Traditions to start with your besties.
1 Get Wiggy With It Plan a whimsical photoshoot with your besties that features you all wearing wigs! The wigs can be as colorful and wild as you would like. Everyone can bring their own wigs to the photoshoot, or someone can provide the wigs. Feel free to borrow a few wigs from your relatives — they don’t have to be new. Go for a different hair theme each year and the fun will never stop. You’re all going to look absolutely fabulous!
2 Gifts From The Pet Set So, this one is easy and mad silly! Instead of giving your favorite friends gifts from you or your family, give them gifts from your PET. Yup, choose fun gifts that will bring a smile to your friends’ faces, and have them “signed” by your pet. Examples would be a cat “giving” a Goldfish crackers gift basket or a dog “gifting” Scooby Snacks! This gift exchange will be something to look forward to every year. No pets, no problem. The gifts can come from “anybody”, including your favorite stuffed animals!
3
Go Fly A Kite It might sound really crazy but, believe it or not, wintertime is the PERFECT time for flying a kite. There is wind and not a lot of people hanging outside. Because the wind is usually really strong, your kites will get some major height under it! Take this new tradition to the next level by making your own kites, complete with all the holiday markings...think a Rudolph kite with a red glittery nose. Your crew is going to have a phenomenal time!
4 Write and Record Your Own Holiday Songs Folks LOVE holiday songs. Now is a chance for your squad to really shine. Turn the time you’re hanging out together into holiday “band” time! You and your besties can create your own custom holiday songs or rewrite the classic songs of the season your way. Then, record yourselves singing or rapping your new winter jams! And yes...be sure to make a music video or Tik Tok featuring your new tunes! Happy Holidays Y’all!

Snowflake Jars By Girl Tyler
T
he winter months are the best time to show off your crafty talents! There are plenty of ways to get artsy during your holiday vacation. Snowflake jars are easy and fun to make. Add a little holiday shimmer to your bedroom by using them as decor. These wintery jars are also heartwarming gifts for your family and friends. And the best part? You can keep them around long after the holidays are over. Just store them away come spring, then bring them out next fall!
Here’s what you’ll need: • • • • • • •
Glass jars Glitter Spray adhesive White paper Scissors Pencil Mod Podge (a clear sealer works too) • Optional: cellophane bag
Instructions 1. Start with clean jars. Remove any labels or price tags from the jar. Use warm water, dish detergent, and a dry dishcloth to clean the jars. Air dry or wipe the jar down with a soft paper towel. Use rubbing alcohol to clean the outside of the jar to make sure there are no visible fingerprints or smudges. 2. Apply the spray adhesive to the inside of the jar and sprinkle in a little glitter. Gently shake the jar to spread the glitter. 3. Fold the paper into a right-angled triangle, then fold in half diagonally to make a triangle. Fold it in half, again, allowing the pointed corners to meet. Fold the paper in thirds then once more in half. (Make sure the edges meet before creasing! You should have six even points.) Finally, cut in various directions and unfold. You'll get a few different snowflake shapes, and that's okay. Even in nature, every snowflake is different! If you prefer, you can also purchase snowflake stickers. 4. Add the Mod Podge to the jar in the areas where you want a snowflake. Place the snowflake on top and cover it with the Mod Podge and let it dry for at least an hour. Tie yarn or ribbon around the opening. Place inside a cellophane bag to present as a gift!
