Building bridges not walls
Help is available for CYCA Families. The practical and emotional support for Families In Crisis can help all family members become self resilient and learn to cope more effectively. The team of Counsellors, Art Psychotherapist, Life Coach, Holistic Therapist and Mentors have been experienced a high demand for the service since it began in June 2010 . The provision is unique ,working with families holistically. We also offer a package of practical support linked to a team of solicitors who can advise on issues such as debt, homelessness and domestic abuse.
Families in Crisis is our Big Lottery funded project which provides support for families which are in ‘crisis’ or experiencing situations where they are losing control or direction. The Team: The extensive backgrounds of the team include counselling, criminal justice, substance misuse, social care, youth work and family therapy offering families a wealth of knowledge, and expertise.

Coaching and Mentoring We provide focussed work and support for young people and adults that will initiate change and help them recognize their full potential; develop a sense of perspective, wellbeing and enhance personal confidence. We aim to ensure that individuals: Gain self confidence and become self motivated Understand causes of stress and learn coping skills Develop communication and time planning skills Deal with conflict Develop a sense of self worth. Practical relaxation techniques.
We also provide a range of Training Programmes through our registered training centre—AAID Training. These include: Therapeutic Communication Skills (Inspired by Kids Company & The Institute for arts in therapy & education) Stress Management Basic Counselling Skills Dealing with Anger and Challenging Behaviour Basic Drug and Alcohol Awareness We believe that ‘no one can make you feel inferior without your consent’.
