ATTACK

DEFENSE

In this card, you can choose any values of attack and defense you want, what matters is that your opponents perceive balance, ie anyone shouldn’t feel that you cheat. Look at the other cards and decide your strategy.

Pay attention to some basic elements of optimal game design: rules (invent yours in a clear manner), participation (all players make decisions), balance (no one should have a clear advantage the beggining of the game), options (every decision must be important), goals (you can set additional goals).

Setup

Make your own cards. Cut along the dotted line in order to obtain four cards. One of the cards has instructions on which elements correspond to each area. Note that the cards have different ATTACK (swords) and DEFENSE (shields) values. Except for one, which you need to create youself, always taking into account the balance, ie nobody should percieve you are cheating. Look at how many swords and shields are arranged in the other cards. In COLOR (faction) of the card you can choose any you want, or none. If you choose a color agree with the other players as to which colors are allowed, two colors at most are recommended. Fill as you wish the CREATURE’S NAME, NAME OF THE CREATURE’S POWER and SKETCH. Once you’re finished with the cards, get an opponent who has followed the same steps.

Battle

Sit front of your opponent with your cards hidden in your hand. Choose one of the cards from your hand and place it face down in front of you. Wait for your opponent do the same. Turn your card face up at the same time as your opponent and compare both cards. If both cards are the same color they do not attack (if no color was chosen they always attack) and each card goes back to their respective owner’s hand. When you attack, if your card is equal or superior in ATTACK (swords) than your opponent’s card DEFENSE (shields), your opponent’s card leaves the game and yours gets back into your hand. Note that both cards can leave the game at the same time if they have equal to or less DEFENSE than the ATTACK they are receiving. Repeat each step from choosing which card to put in front of you. The last player holding any cards in its hand wins.

Tie

Note that the game allows ties. When this happens, what will you do to break the tie?. Agree in new tiebreaking rules.
