本作品集分為兩個部分：十秒鐘影片系列與
一秒鐘影片系列，並不是傳統以「時間晚的為後」 ， 反而是「時間晚的為前」的順序排列，目的是為了 凸顯最新的作品系列。兩個系列作品當中， 「一秒
鐘影片系列」開始於2019年，為了探討影片的本 體論，以後設的角度來詮釋影片，本作品集中的「 一秒鐘影片系列」是以彰化扇形車庫為表現題材
來製作；另一方面， 「十秒鐘影片系列」則是2022 年最新的作品，以電影史上分量極重的黑白小短
片作為創作發想，加上蒙太奇的手法，所製作的錄 像作品。

This collection of Art works is divided into two parts: the Ten-Second Films series and the One-Second Films series, which are not traditionally arranged in order of "late after", but "late first", in
order to highlight the latest series of works. Among the two series of works, the One-Second Films series began in 2019. In order to discuss the ontology of the〝film〞and interpret the film from a
meta-perspective, the One-Second Films series is produced with
Changhua Railway Roundhouse as the performance theme. On the other hand, the Ten-Second Films series is the latest work in 2022,
with extremely heavy black and white short films in film history as the creative ideas, using montage's methods, the video works produced.

十秒鐘影片: 形體.機械
Ten-Second Films : Figure. Machine 本系列由19世紀電影啟蒙者馬黑 (Étienne-Jules
Marey)研究「運動」的影片中得到靈感。法國生理學家馬
黑為了搞清楚人類肢體動作時的肌肉變化與運動，用連 續攝影術拍攝了數十部紀錄、研究用的黑白短片，這些
影片大多短短數秒，內容則是重複撥放的肢體動作特寫
。這些科研用的短片，對於生理學家而言，可以明白人類 姿體的變化，但是在藝術家的眼中，卻像是工廠機械設
備的運作：不斷重複的伸手影片、不斷做出抓取動作的 手掌、不斷試著抓住掉落物的動作，這些重複的動作彷 彿就像機器運作生產時不斷重複的往返動作。
藝術家從這些重複的律動中發想出「形體.機器」的
想法，每個重複的動作都像是一部大機器中的一部分， 利用蒙太奇的手法將這些「人的動作」組合成想像性的 機器運作，以「形體.機器」去顯示一種藝術家詼諧趣味的 想像。
此外，這種將「人組合成機器」的點子也一種對於傳
統宣傳洗腦「每個人都是整部社會機器下的小小螺絲釘
」的反諷。關於這點，我們同樣可以在默劇泰斗查理.卓別 林(Charles Spencer Chaplin)(1889-1977)的1936年 的作品《摩登時代(Modern Times)》中看到。
This series is inspired by Étienne-Jules Marey, the 19th century film pioneer, who studied "sports". In order to clarify the muscle
changes and movements of human, the French physiologist shot
dozens of recorded and research short films. Most of these videos are short seconds, and the content is a close-up of repeated limb movements. For physiologists, these short films for scientific
research can understand the changes in human posture, but in the eyes of artists, they are like the operation of factory mechanical equipment: repeated out-out videos, palms that keep making grabbing actions, and constantly trying to catch drops. These
repeated movements seem to be like repeated round-trip movements during machine operation production.
Artists think of " Figure. Machine " from these repeated rhythms.
The idea of machine, each repeated action is like a part of a large machine, using montage techniques to combine these "human
movements" into imaginary machine operations to "body shape.
Machines show an artist's humorous and interesting imagination. In addition, this idea of "combining people into machines" is also
an irony to the traditional propaganda of brainwashing "everyone
is a small screw under the whole social machine". On this point, we can also see Charles Spencer Chaplin (1889-1977)’s work Modern Times in 1936.

一秒鐘影片系列
One-Second Films : Changhua Roundhouse 「一秒鐘影片」系列將19世紀美國攝影師邁布里奇
(Eadweard James Muybridge)和法國生理學家馬黑為 了研究「運動」本身而發明的「連續攝影術(chronophotography)」當成靈感來源與創作手法，將影像分解、再 重新疊加的方式來詮釋大家所熟悉的景點(彰化扇形車
庫)，重複、快速、狂亂的線條與黑白的主色調，組成了一
種猶如素描或是抽象畫的畫面構圖，製造出一種詩意、夢 境般的氛圍，在作者的創作手法下，熟悉的景點特色不再 容易分辨，而是給人一種似曾相似、卻又無法一眼確定的 感覺。
主題命名為「一秒鐘影片」 ，看似與靜態的作品呈現
相互矛盾，但其實是代表使用連續攝影術的創作手法，同 時也是對於邁布里奇和馬黑兩位利用連續攝影術發明電 影的先驅所做的致敬之意。
法國電影理論家兼導演阿斯楚克（Alexandre
Astruc）(1923-2016)曾在1948年提出「攝影機鋼筆論」 ， 將「攝影機拍攝電影」比擬成拿著鋼筆書寫作品一般。相
似於阿斯楚克對於拍電影的比擬，作者也將「連續影像」 當成是描繪景象的畫筆，將眼中的自然透過連續影像的 轉譯，這樣的創作跨越了電影、攝影與繪畫三個領域，同 時也反映了作者的創作研究經歷背景。
此外，透過對於風景的連續攝影，然後加以解構再
重組，形成一種異於原本事物本質的畫面構成，製造出一
種"歧義"的概念，也隱含羅蘭.巴特(Roland Barthes) (1915-1980)「作者已死」的概念。

The One-Second Films series takes the "chronophotography"
invented by the 19th-century American photographer Eadweard
James Muybridge and the French physiologist Étienne-Jules Marey to study the "movement" itself as inspirational sources and
creative techniques. It decomposes and re-overlaps images to
interprets the familiar attractions (Changhua Roundhouse). The repeated, fast and chaotic lines and black and white main tone
constitute a picture composition like sketching or abstract painting, creating a poetic and dreamlike atmosphere. Under the
author's creative methods, the familiar attractions are no longer
easy to distinguish, but give people a feeling that seems similar but uncertain at a glance.
The theme is named " One-Second Films ", which seems to contra-
dict the static works, but it actually represents the creative method of using continuous photography. At the same time, it is also a
tribute to the pioneers of Muybridge and Marey, who invented the film using continuous photography.
Alexandre Astruc(1923-2016), a French film theorist and director,
proposed the " camera-pen " in 1948, meaning " Filming is similar to writing works with a pen". Similar to Aschuk, the artist also regards "continuous image" as a brush to depict the scene,
translating the nature in his eyes through continuous images. Such creation spans the three fields of film, photography and painting, and also reflects the author's creative research experience background.
In addition, through continuous photography of the scenery, and then deconstruction and reorganization, a picture composition
that is different from the essence of the original thing is formed to create a concept of "ambiguity", which also implies Roland Barthes(1915-1980)'s concept of "the death of the author".
