Warmth Our reception area and lounge have recently been renovated in typical Alpine style with wonderful woodwork and comfortable, stylish furnishings. A warm and friendly welcome with a fabulous view of the ski slopes, provide the perfect place for you to relax and enjoy a drink with friends. The new Bar Bata also serves soft drinks and delicious sweets prepared by our Chef.
Comfort All the bedrooms are en suite, with TV and telephone. Spacious and comfortable, they enjoy magnificent views. From some bedrooms guests can enjoy excellent views overlooking the ski slopes.
Wellbeing The Hotel has a very new Spa. After a day on the slopes or walking in the beautiful mountains, we recommend that you relax and refresh yourself in our fitness centre. Fine food The hotel restaurant offers both classical and typical local dishes with wines from the Valtellina. The Hotel has a spacious dining area with a magnificent view overlooking the ski slopes. It is true that the secret of a good holiday is good food and our Chef takes great pride in the dishes he prepares. Our menu features the best local produce and dishes such as pizzoccheri, sciatt, polenta and bresaola accompanied by good wine for your enjoyment. Our Chef, Mauro Vitalini and his staff lead by Marco Bonetti, prepare a new menu every day using seasonal ingredients with an emphasis on locally sourced produce. Mediterranean flavours are married perfectly with our traditional Valtellinese dishes. Our Chef is an active sportsman and enthusiastic cyclist who is serious about providing a varied selection of dishes that are tasty and also healthy and low fat – ideal for those on an active holiday or simply wanting to relax and unwind.
Outdoor life Splendid days spent in small ‘baite’(mountain huts) surrounded by nature in the Stelvio National Park, with typical lunches offered by the Hotel. Martinola - situated a short walk from the town - offers every comfort with a splendid view of the valley of Bormio. Ciuck - in the splendid valley of Cancano, forty minutes from Bormio - a quiet little place surrounded by nature.

Relaxation The fabulous terrace at the foot of the ski slopes and next to the large solarium allows you to enjoy a drink in the sun while the children play in our spacious garden. In summer, during the hotter periods of the day, you can cool down in the open air swimming pool, which in winter transforms itself into a heated indoor swimming pool. With comfortable deck-chairs and good weather, our large solarium overlooking the garden is a ideal place to relax and appreciate the peaceful surroundings.

Activities
For those who love active holidays, Bormio and the surrounding valleys offer many opportunities to keep in contact with nature by taking part in sport, gentle walks or hikes on the trails of the Stelvio National Park. Mountain and road biking are the holiday of choice for many of our guests who use our hotel as a base for cycling the Stelvio and Gavia Passes or to venture along the marked trails of the area. Bormio also offers instructors for Nordic walking to help you along a variety of routes while for the more adventurous it is possible to reach the summits of the Group Ortles Cevedale in the company of local mountain guides. For lovers of golf, Bormio offers a 9 hole golf course with a Professional available for anyone who would like to improve their swing. Finally tennis and soccer are also possible at the Hotel for our guests with private tennis lessons available on request (payment required).

HOW TO REACH US Bormio can easily be reached by car from the main Italian and other European cities due to its close proximity to the border between Italy and Switzerland. A train direct from Milan will bring you to the nearby City of Tirano from which a short bus journey to Bormio can be taken. Major International Airports are a couple of hours away in the Hotel Funivia’s free Courtesy Bus. -
