‘MANY PEOPLE LEFT FURIOUS WITH GOVERNMENT’S LATEST TAX SCHEME!’

Hundreds of people gathered outside the Leeds Ar t Gallery on Saturday 20th April 2013 in protest against the Conservatives latest scheme the ‘Bedroom Tax’, which requires people with a spare bedroom to take a reduction in their government benefits, a cut that could affect as many 80,000 people nationwide. The demonstration began with a march through Leeds City Centre with the protesters making their feelings stand out clearly about the new system. The protesters marched through the city in protest against this new system and showed the diversity of the people who were involved, obviously they were all working class people, families with children were one of the main par ties involved during the march. Throughout the march there were rich results that familes will be the most effected, por traying a cruel and uncaring government who are nothing more than home snatchers who would willingly take away homes from families with small children just because of a spare room in the house. There is a varied range of people of all age groups, some elderly, some students, and even children. The people are all focusing on the speakers directly in front of them, who are praising the people for having the courage to turn up and show their steadfastness. The speeches seem positive as the majority of protesters are either smiling or looking deep in thought on the matter. The atmosphere of this march was phenomenal, numerous of events took place outside the ar t gallery, orchestras played a big involvement, food was displayed and
