BRAND ANALYSIS
Detailed brand evaluation and analysis techniques used to discover key design styles of the Citroen brand. Multiple concepts were produced and ranked as to how much they portrayed the chosen brand. Devlopment into the final design showing the previously researched brand features and colours.
DEVELOPMENT
INJECTION MOULD TOOL SECOND YEAR PROJECT TO DESIGN AN INJECTION MOULD TOOL AND INSERTS CAPABLE OF MOULDING A PROMOTIONAL ‘WIDGET’ FOR A BRAND.
FINISHED PRODUCT
The project was based around the designing of the mould tool. Methods of testing involved ensuring that the desired “widget would be produced when all inserts were in position.
GROUP PROJECT
G R O U P PROJECT SECOND HALF OF THE MODULE WAS TO MANUFACTURE A CHOSEN MOULD BLOCK IN GROUPS OF 5. ALLOWING IT TO BE INJECTED AND A “WIDGET” PRODUCED. THESE “WIDGETS” THEN FORMED THE STOCK ON A GROUP BUILT POINT OF SALE DISPLAY.
SCOOTER FIRST YEAR PROJECT TO DESIGN A CHILD’S SCOOTER AND THEN PRODUCE AN ACCURATE CAD MODEL IN ASSEMBLED PARTS FROM A SKETCH.
DETAILED VIEWS
Childs scooter assembly made up of 8 separate part files and assembled within the CAD program. Concept produced from an inital sketch and then modelled as sparate parts. Fully functioning CAD model allowing for realistic renders to be produced.

CAMPUS COOKING SECOND YEAR STYLING PROJECT TO DEVELOP AN INTERACTIVE HAND-HELD DEVICE. CAMPUS COOKING PROVIDES A SIMPLE WAY FOR STUDENTS TO BECOME MORE ADVENTUROUS IN THE KITCHEN.
Portable product designed to help Students make use of all the food that they have. Using a camera to scan the food and suggest recipies that could be cooked. Styled to be ergonomic and fitting within the kitchen environment. This was then prototyped by hand out of Prolab.

O2 VOLUNTEER LIVE PROJECT UNDERTAKEN DURING SECOND YEAR OF UNIVERSITY FOR THE O2 THINK-BIG CAMPAIGN. O2 VOLUNTEER ALLOWS YOUNG ADULTS TO VOLUNTEER FOR LOCAL EVENTS AND CHARITIES IN ORDER TO GAIN VALUABLE EXPERIENCE AND BUILD THEIR PROFILE.
DEVELOPMENT & TESTING
Development of an app to promote volunteering with younger generations. From sketched wireframes through to a fully developed app. The final prototype was created using Axure and then tested with the specified user to ensure compatability.
FINAL SCREEN DESIGNS
GHD HAIR DRYER FIRST YEAR PROJECT TO REDESIGN A CONVENTIONAL HAIR DRYER IN ORDER TO EASE USER INTERACTION WHILST DRYING HARD-TO-REACH AREAS AND TO DEVELOP THE DESIGN SO THAT IT IS ALSO COMFORTABLE AND CONVENIENT TO USE WHILST DRYING SOMEONE ELSES HAIR.
MODELLING
Begining with the disassembly of a conventional hair dryer to analyse its components. Onto ergonomic prototyping in foam to allow for user testing in varied scenarios. Design developed into a feasible product that benefits both selected users. Personal and salon based environments.
FINAL DESIGNS
SUZIE-Q PLACEMENT MAJOR DESIGN PROJECT TO DESIGN A MULTIROOM HUB TO PUSH RADIO THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE. INCORPORATING INTERNET RADIO AND WIRELESS FUNCTIONALITY INTO A SINGLE STYLISH UNIT FOR THE HOME.
DEVELOPMENT
STAGE THREE
The project was developed from a previous interns work over 10 months. Development sketches were produced allowing for design evaluation. This progressed to early CAD modelling.
FINAL DESIGN DETAIL
STAGE TWO
Full testing and prototyping methods were used with close contact during their manufacture in China.
