Thoughts Everything around is is an array of colour. From the ordinary items we use in our everyday lives to the environment we live and interact in. Being constantly “exposed” to colour has caused us take its presence for granted. In a street photography situation, colour provides a picture with more content but colour makes producing photos more challenging by throwing in the various shades and hues into the mix. After publishing Hong Kong Vol 2, I chose to venture again into colour following a period of producing images in black and white. The exercise itself was demanding but in the end I felt that I acquired a better knowledge of how to utilize colours to tell the story I want my photos to illustrate. In this series, I have concentrated on the colours red, blue and yellow. Through coincidences and waiting patiently for the right characters to enter into the frame, Hong Kong Vol 3 is a series where colour plays the protagonist of the photos. Jackson Hung
