Sport
I have always been a keen photographer and have been able to develop my skills through GCSE Photography and whilst visiting new places locally and abroad. It is a hobby that I like to practice alongside my architecture work.
I am experienced in using Procreate for my developmental concepts, sketches & detailed drawings. I also use it for making digital art in my spare time.
I enjoy partaking in all types of sport. I played rugby for my schools and local team - Twickenham RFC. I also challenge myself with running, cycling & triathlon events. I took the opportunity to try out other sports at university including water polo, squash & tennis.

THE CROPS & HOPS
Thesis project Great Yarmouth, UK
The Crops & Hops is a community hub that encourages sustainable, local living. The aim is to regenerate an unused section of Great Yarmouth marketplace with a brewery & pub, urban farm & kitchen that will bring the community together through brewing & drinking, growing & eating.

Regeneration
The existing building is currently unused and the local council are looking for a new proposal to regenerate the site as part of their highstreet regeneration scheme. There is also an unused green space and part of the old town wall at the back of the site that will be regenerated as an urban farm.
To reduce material waste and carbon emissions, the proposal keeps the majority of the existing structure and reuses the demolished concrete & brick. The waste will be used in gabion walls & planters as well as an infll for massive walls that will be faced with local fint stone. dditional locally sourced materials, such as timber & clay tiles will complete the new structure.

The
Pub
The pub merges both traditional and contemporary architectural features to create a familiar, homely pub with an essence of newness that will intrigue both the locals and tourists. The main bar area is open and lively with a row of arched windows along the street front and large beer tanks behind the bar that draw the eye in. Skylights with greenery hanging down bring the outside in and warm timbers are matched with brass detailing. In contrast to this, a cave-like side room hosts more intimate and cosy spaces with thick fint walls & a central freplace. 4
Terrace
The terrace provides outdoor seating and a bar where the beer tanks from below puncture through. People drink beer surrounded by greenery with views into the brewery and out over the courtyard where musicians perform. A roof garden, visible from the marketplace, provides hops and favourings for the brewery and community dinners can be hosted on the terrace encircled by the greenery.

PHOTOGRAPHY ARCHIVE
Year 2
Project location Summary
Project 4
Nottingham, UK
This photography archive focuses on encouraging people to take a step back from the shallowness of social media, quick snaps and distractions, and see life from a new perspective through the use of flm photography. The duality of light & dark, the basis of photography, is explored throughout the project.
7
Light & Dark
The design is split into two halves. One half uses light weight materials such as ETFE to create bright, open spaces for a cafe, workshop and terrace. The other half uses a thick glulam structure and green walls to enclose the darker spaces such as the photo archive, dark rooms and studios. The two halves are connected by suspended walkways to emphasise the transition between light and dark.

TREASURE ON THE RIVERBED
Year 3
Project location
Project 2
Great Yarmouth, UK
Summary
This project promotes the use of plastic litter, gathered from the local river, as a material to make artwork. The community, especially children, will be encouraged come to the pavilion to help reduce river litter and reuse it in creative ways.

Strategy
The design strategy aims to re-establish the rows between buildings as active public space which open up to a community plaza that will have a public exhibition and pavilion with connections to the pub. It will inject life back into this area of Great Yarmouth and make better use of the existing car park.

Programme
River litter will be collected by boat that will dock and send bags of plastic to the site using a pulley system. The plastic will then be sorted & cleaned, then dropped into large fshing nets which hang at ground level. The kids can then pick out the plastic they want to use in the workshop for their artwork.

TUN YARD OFFICES
During my year out at L+Architects, I have worked on the concept design, spatial coordination, and technical design of an ofce refurbishment project. The former brewery site is listed but needs refurbishing to accommodate a range of ofce units. The main ofce unit seen above seeks to celebrate the vaulted roof and maximise the space with a canterlivering mezzanine. I developed design interations and produced technical drawings using Revit.

LINFORD STREET
Also at L+Architects, I have worked on the concept design and spatial coordination of a new build commercial project. It consists of industrial warehouse space on the lower foors and ofces and a terrace on the upper foors. The steel trusses, perforated metal cladding and glazing create a sleek, industrial look that is softened by the green terrace and roofs. The design is on track to be rated outstanding in BREEAM. developed design iterations and visualisations using SketchUp.
