[Agency/Firm] [Construction Project Manager/Project Manager] Dear Employer, I am pleased to respond to your posting for a [Construction Project Manager/Project Manager]. To date, I have 5+ years of experience in construction project management and program management in healthcare and life sciences construction. I have led multiple large-scale capital projects worth over $25 million and I currently supervise over 1 million square feet of new and existing construction including clinics, labs, and accompanying spaces across NYC. I excel in representing clients’ needs in the construction process from design through project closeout. I am experienced leading teams of architects, engineers, and GCs in delivering safe and on time projects. Importantly, I am also experienced with state and municipal government contracts -- factoring in M/WBE requirements, lead times, requirements contracts, and all the complexities that may arise working in/with city government. In working with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), I’ve been trusted as an emergency management director, leading the agency’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic through the emergency construction of testing labs and vaccination sites. Wearing many hats, I was also trusted by the Deputy Commissioner to lead one of our agency’s Vaccination Hubs - directly supervising over 100+ staff, administering over 60,000 vaccinations, and liaising at an executive policy level with the Mayor’s Office and the Vaccine Command Center. In my execution of these additional responsibilities, I was awarded the 2021 Prize for Public Service and my agency’s Distinguished Service Award. Skills-wise, I have fluency with all phases of construction including planning, management, and post-construction. I have experience in contract documents, cost estimation, scheduling, and budget management. While working at DOHMH I have become well-versed in the ULURP process, trusted with representing the agency, and presenting directly to community boards on public facing projects. I am knowledgeable and experienced working with the regulations and permits required by NYC Code. Additionally, I am OSHA 30+10 safety certified. Having served the Health Department through the COVID-19 pandemic, working 100+ hours per week and being on call 24/7, I fully understand the rigors of working within tight deadlines / constraints. I have a formal 5-year Bachelor of Architecture degree and have received multiple awards in design including Architecture Student of the Year. I have strong skills in the key computer applications architects and engineers use, including AutoCAD, Revit, the Adobe Suite, Procore, Microsoft Projects, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. I am tech-savvy and can learn new programs and systems should the need arise. Lastly, I am fully vaccinated and am very interested in working for [Agency/Firm]. I would appreciate a meeting where I can learn more about this job opportunity either in-person or virtually. Please consider reviewing the link at the bottom of the page where my full portfolio as well as work samples can be viewed. Respectfully yours,

Jack Wong
