Timberland’s Annual Report

For this annual report, I wanted to create an experience for the user that is similar to Timberland products themselves. I experimented with fabrics, laser etched leather, sewing, different paper colors, sizes, as well as layout and pacing that represented the feel of their brand. This was my first publication design project and was a huge turing point for me in college! It truly made me fall in love with book deign! My annual report was accepted into the National Student Show and Conference in the Spring of 2020!

I laser etched Timberland’s logo onto a piece of leather and hand sewed it to the fabric that I used for my cover. I was able to create a hard cover for this annual report that encased my wire bound book.

To create pacing for the reader, I used full spread images throughout my report. You can also find different sized pages to separate different sections and a large foldout to create emphasis on the information presented.

The Holy Order of Godly Provisions Secret Society Invitation Set

The Holy Order of Godly Provisons is a secret society that’s members help those in need, secretly. I based my society off of the life of St. Francis of Assisi and used him for a lot of my inspiration through my design. I also used the specific biblical story of the Prophet Elijah receiving provisions through a raven. This story led me to push the idea of light coming from darkness which then made me want to experiment with different colored paper and foiling methods. This set includes a save the date, an invitation, an RSVP card, a ticket and a promotional item. Overall, this project taught me to desing exclusivey for a particular group instead of trying to be inclusive with my demogrpahic.

In my invitation set, the rosary is used as a ticket that would be the member’s key into the event. The relic of St. Francis of Assis that is pictured above, is a promotional item that can be used by the members during the event as well as after the event is over.

The illustration of the stain glass window with the raven in the center references back to the stain glass window that the members will see at the event in the Papal Basilica of Saint Peter. I was able to replicate the rays of light that would shine through the window with lines that I carry out in the rest of my invitation set as well.

Glossier Animated Logo

Glossier is a skin care and makeup line that is known for its fun and funky brand atmosphere that they have created through their packaging, social media and stores. In this animated logo, I wanted to show off some of their most purchased products as well as elements of their package design that they send out to their customers. Something that sets Glossier apart from other brands is the stickers that they include in every order. So like their packaging, I have set them apart from other brands by including all of their elements into one animated logo!

Smiles :)

Journal on Personal Experience Smiles is a journal that I wrote and designed based on my personal experience through the Covid-19 pandemic. I broke my journal into 4 different books based all on different experiences that I had during those times. Though my journals do begin explaining the negative things happening in my life, each of them comes full circle to highlight the positive aspects that did come from living during this time. I relate a lot of memories back to music that I listened to during that time and wanted to include that in my journal for the reader to get even more of an experience from reading. I included pacing pages of different sizes that had songs that I listened to throughout this time.

With this Covid Journal being a personal project, I was able to use my favorite color, hot pink, in the paper that I printed on for the cover. I included stickers with my books with icons that I illustrated so that the reader can place them throughout the journal as they read!

To create pacing throughout my journals as well as to add another personal touch, I included smaller pages that showed music that I was listening to during the time that I was writing about. In my preface letter, the reader can find a playlist of all of the songs included throughout so they can go and listen!


Black Mirror TV Intro

Black Mirror is a is a British dystopian science fiction anthology television series created by Charlie Brooker. It examines modern society, with regard to the unanticipated consequences of new technologies and their effects on the world. In my TV intro, I wanted to use clips and effects that pushed the idea of how technology is slowly turning our lives into something that we never thought possible.

Expedition Ale 4-pack Package

Expedition Ale is a beer created for ambitious, hardworking young adults. I wanted to portray the idea of adventure as well as being handcrafted by basing my design off of the style from the 1800’s. I used a hand drawn illustration style, textures, typography and quotes from famous explorers to push this idea. I also wanted this brand to be expandable by including the different types of sea creatures on my box and wrap. For this lager in particular, I used an octopus and wale on either side. To create even more user experience and anticipation, I made a wrap that the user would remove to reveal the label of the bottle before drinking. Each bottle also has a sticker that shows the date when the specific beer was brewed. When creating the branding and packaging for this 4 pack, I kept a quote in mind from the wise words of Jules Verne, “All that is impossible remains to be accomplished.”

For my 4-pack, I used small details to reference back to the time period that my design is based off of. The entire pack resembles a map that would have been used for travel by sailors. I highlight the explorer Jules Verne over the box and bottle to create a sense of motivation for my demographic.


Each of my bottles has a neck label that contains another quote from Jules Verne to expand my brand even more. I carefully creafted every detail, even down to the color of the bottle cap.

The wrap that I created for my bottles is supposed to insinuate to the way glass bottles were kept safe during travel on ships in the 1800’s. The illustration that I placed on my wrap is an extension of the illustration found on my label and box.

Sack’s Outdoors Social Media Ad Campaign

An ad campaign designed for Sacks Outdoors in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. For this campaign, I am highlighting a sale for Carhartt coats and jackets. I wanted the audience to see that Carhartt can be worn in many different occasions “making work worry free.” The textures, overlays and music of the motion ads bring a feeling of hard work and durability. The static ads do the same highlighting many different areas of work! The static ads could be used on multiple social media platforms including, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

I used my own green screen to take photos of the elements that went along with the work being done in the images that I used for my ads. I carry these elements out into my motion ads as well.

Nova Rangers Board Game

I was tasked with creating a board game based off of a demographic of our choice. I decided to go with the age group of 6-8-year old’s. I based my game’s gameplay off of the game Ticket to Ride. I wanted to appeal to adventurous children by going with a space theme. For my design, I wanted to push texture and an illustrative style that would bring their imagination’s to life when playing my game!

Nova Rangers includes rocket game pieces and a blue container that separate each color that the players would need! These pieces help the players imagine they are flying through space even more!

Maya Angelou: The Complete Collection Book Jacket

Maya Angelou is an acclaimed American poet, storyteller, activist and autobiographer that uplifts her fans and readers in everything that she writes. We were tasked to create a book cover with a liquid medium to create a specific feeling that is portrayed by the authors poems. I wanted to fully embody the empowerment and inspiration that is in each of her poems. To do so, I created an ethereal quality using a liquid medium of alcohol ink mixed with rubbing alcohol. To contrast the soft appearance of the sunset in the background, I painted the silhouettes of birds flying into the sky to give the feeling of courage and strength. The display type on the cover and spine is hand lettered. This project gave me a chance to step away from the computer and learn how the exploration of different mediums can bring unique feelings to every piece.

I created this book jacket fully by hand using alcohol ink and rubbing alcohol. I hit the ink with heat to give it an ethereal quality to reference back to the graceful, motivational words that are inside.

Insulin Price PSA Ad Campaign

This PSA Poster was created to show the public the seriousness of the rise on insulin prices. The inspiration for this topic stems from my own life because I have Type 1 Diabetes. I really wanted to push the fact that this issue effects children as much as it effects adults. To give this poster an emotional pull, I used syringes, a baby blanket, and an empty vial of insulin. The syringes form a dollar sign, while the insulin vial works as a period. This project taught me the weight and emotional value that is held in mediums that truly can’t be recreated on the computer.

Fredelig Sjel Norwegian Coffee Company

Fredelig Sjel is a coffee company that I created based off of the Norwegian culture and the science behind the Northern Lights that can be seen occasionally in Norway. Norway has a very rich history and current culture that highly influenced the brand identify for Fredelig Sjel. I want my customer/viewer to have an experience with my coffee company similar to that of seeing the northern lights. In English, Fredelig Sjel translates as, “peaceful soul.”

I used holographic elements throughout my brand to reference back to the Northern Lights. Below are my business cards that are completely holographic with a reversed black secondary mark in the center.


The color of the holographic material used on my coffee bags references to the type of roast inside. The lighter the roast, the lighter the holographic material used, and so on as it rises up to dark roast.

In the look book that I created for Fredelig Sjel, I included my logo in a clear varnish on the cover, a die cut that goes through the entire book, and hidden elements like embossing on various spreads.

I use full spread images for pacing throughout my book. To bring the holographic elements that I use on my coffee bags, I carried it into my display type of my look book.
