HOW TO MAKE: AN INSECT SPLATTER-PAINT APRON A STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTION GUIDE 1
STEP #1:
Let’s begin! Start by laying out all of your materials for the project. You will have everything you need!
STEP #3:
While your toddler is painting, make sure you help hold the stencil down!
STEP #5:
Now, clean your brush. We’re going to dip into the orange color next. 2
STEP #2:
Next, grab your apron and choose which stencil you want to paint.
STEP #4:
If you chose the butterfly, begin painting the top half pink. If you chose the dragonfly skip to Step 14.
STEP #6:
Now, since orange is friends with pink, we can dip it into the orange and begin painting next to the pink.
STEP #7:
Paint next to the pink and make your way down towards the middle of the butterfly!
STEP #9:
Now dip into the bright yellow. Once again, lay it down next to the orange.
STEP #11:
After you are done painting. You can now peel back the stencil.
STEP #8:
Rinse again! Since we are using colors that are friends, this allows your water to not get brown.
STEP #10:
Paint the bottom half of the butterfly yellow. These three colors mix well because they are friends!
STEP #12:
After the stencil is peeled back you can dip into purple and begin to add a little splatter. 3
STEP #13:
If you want, feel free to paint a name below the butterfly. You’re all done! Great job!
STEP #15:
Now wash your brush and begin painting the middle of your dragonfly bright green.
STEP #17:
After you have finished painting inside of the stencil you can peel it off. 4
STEP #14:
If you chose the dragon fly, this step is similar to Step 4. Paint the top half of your stencil blue.
STEP #16:
Next, paint the bottom half of your dragonfly yellow. Remember to wash in between colors!
STEP #18:
Similar to Step 13, feel free to add a name below your insect. You’re all done! Great job!
