DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
G e n e r a t i v e D i a g r a m This project was based upon qualities and principals found in two separate buildings. The organizational principals found in separate buildings are combined to generate a new piece of architecture. The two buildings I combined to create a new structure are the Furniture House by Shigeru Ban and Casa Em Brejos De Azaitao by Aires Mateus

R e d u c t i v e D i a g r a m Analysis of the Furniture House located in Yamanashi, Japan, designed by Shigeru Ban. The design concept of this building is prefabrication and functional walls. The walls of this house provide structural support and serve as functional furniture. Floor Space

East
Stair
This project involved the analysis of Rapson’s East stair well. My analysis was based on the rhythm and continuity of the space.
3ds Max Final Render This project involved the analysis and 3d representation of the Baltzar Residence, La Jolla California. The model was created using 3ds max 2009. The Baltazar home is a small one story bungalow located on a substandard lot between two nondescript condominiums. Within that small house lived a growing family with a modern aesthetic who wanted to take advantage of the ocean views their site offered while adding square footage. The concrete base rises out of the ground with minimal amount of openings until the second story, where it turns into a steel frame with a glass window wall that offers a panoramic view out to the Pacific Ocean.
Dormatory
Comparison
This project involved the comparison of the Baker House and Yudof Hall. The housing units both frame the concept of living successfully in opposing ways. Yudof Hall promotes privacy over public and the Baker House promotes public over private.

Design and Development
Design a screen that addresses the programmatic needs of a typical Minneapolis neighborhood commercial node. My design filters the intense light that shines into the yard, distinguishes between public and private space, and provides a safe space for a family and children.
