ITEMS REQUIRING SUBMISSION OF PRODUCT CUTS AND/OR SAMPLES SHALL BE SUBMITTED TWO (2) WEEKS PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK AFFECTED BY SUCH ITEMS, TO ALLOW SUFFICIENT TIME TO OBTAIN APPROVAL OF OWNER AND ARCHITECT. ANY COSTS INCURRED BY THE CONTRACTOR'S FAILURE TO OBTAIN APPROVAL SHALL NOT AFFECT THE CONTRACT PRICE OR BE REMEDIED BY THE OWNER. ALL MATERIALS STORED ON SITE SHALL BE STACKED NEATLY ON SKIDS, PLATFORMS, OR BLOCKING "HIGH AND DRY" PROTECTED AS RECOMMENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER FROM POTENTIAL DAMAGE AND DETERIORATION CAUSED BY THE ELEMENTS. ALL DEBRIS AND SPOILS RESULTING FROM SUBCONTRACTORS WORK ARE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE JOB SITE OR PLACED IN A RECEPTACLE PROVIDED BY THE SUBCONTRACTOR IN A TIMELY FASHION OR AS REQUESTED BY THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR OR OWNER. SUBCONTRACTORS SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS, ANGLES, AND EXISTING CONDITIONS BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH ANY WORK. VARIATIONS IN THE FIELD CONDITIONS RELATIVE TO THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE REPORTED TO THE ARCHITECT IMMEDIATELY. WORK SHALL NOT COMMENCE OR PROCEED UNTIL CLARIFICATIONS ARE OBTAINED. SUBCONTRACTORS ARE TO NOTIFY UTILITY COMPANIES PRIOR TO EXCAVATING AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCATING ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES. SUBCONTRACTORS SHALL NOTIFY OWNER AND ARCHITECT OF CONDITIONS. ALL WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE APPLICABLE CODES OF PORTER COUNTY IN THE STATE OF INDIANA, AND THE TOWN OF BEVERLY SHORES. ALL INTERIOR DIMENSIONS ARE TO BE COORDINATED WITH ARCHITECT. IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATING INTERIOR DECORATIVE WORK WITH OWNER, PAINTING, CABINETRY, CARPET, ETC. G.C. IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROTECTION OF EXISTING SITE AND BUILDING TO REMAIN DURING CONSTRUCTION. PRIOR TO ANY EARTH EXCAVATION SUBCONTRACTORS ARE TO CALL 48 HOURS BEFORE WORK IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN. THE SYSTEM WILL THEN NOTIFY COMED AND OTHER UTILITIES. EXCAVATION WORK SHOULD NOT BEGIN WITHOUT EXISTING GAS LINES, AND EXISTING WATER AND SEWER LINES HAVING BEEN LOCATED. G.C. TO PROVIDE LANDSCAPE PROTECTION OF ALL AREAS NOT WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE AND TO KEEP THE SITE NEATLY ORGANIZED. G.C. TO PROTECT ADJACENT PROPERTY AS NEEDED SO THAT ALL WORK AND SUPPLIES STORED ON SITE ARE ON THE CONTRACT SITE. THE WORK AREA MUST BE FENCED WITH A TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION FENCE. FLASHING TO BE INSTALLED AT ALL EXTERIOR OPENINGS, INCLUDING STEEL LINTELS, WINDOW AND DOOR HEADS. SEE NOTE 24 FOR ARCADIA FLASHINGS. ALL STAIRS TO HAVE AN APPROVED HANDRAIL, INTERIOR HANDRAILS TO BE MINIMUM 36" AFF, EXTERIOR RAILS TO BE A MINIMUM 42" AFF. GUARDRAILS TO BE 42" HIGH.
