Diocesan Life Education Conferences Recently Offered in Our Deaneries Spring/ Summer 2015
The 2015 Annual Department of Christian Education Deanery Conferences took place in June throughout our Diocese. Organized by the Department’s chair, Matushka Andrea Diamantis, the Conferences took place at Christ the Saviour Church, Paramus, NJ, Holy Trinity Church, East Meadow, NJ, and St. John the Baptist Church, Rochester, NY. The same schedule was offered at each location. The morning featured a presentation by Cindy Heise of the Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training Program, Stewards of Children, which has been recommended for all OCA parishes. Following lunch, two sessions were offered, each with two tracks: 1) “Child Development and the Exceptional Learner” or “Adolescent Needs” 2) “Enriching the Classroom Experience” or “Moral Issues Overview.
