Supervised by: Jessica Hanzelkova and Saarinen Balagengatharadilak

Skills/Softwares Used: Rhinoceros 7 / Adobe Ps / Enscape / D5 Render / Hand Drawing

The Teahouse is one of the three programmed buildings on this sloped site in Cambridge, Ontario. This building serves as a residence for two students and was designed with two main programmed spaces: A meditation yoga room and a curated common area.

With two other classmates they each designed a makerspace and common kitchen residence for all the students on site to occupy. Shared by a common platform, students and residents are able to access these programmed spaces.

ADDITIONAL WORKS - PHYSICAL MODELS

Skills Used: Model Making

1:50 Scale Model - The Striped Pavillion / Fall Design Studio 2021 Museum Board, Bassword Strips / 100 x 150 x 300mm

This Abstract Pavilion Model took inspiration from Anni Albers’ Design for Wall Hanging Gouache painting from 1926. The model utilized the painting as a reference and built downwards; carrying the vertical and horizontal patterns to the different levels of the model.

An abstract representation of two cubic feet of nature from our field trip to the French River in Northern Ontario. With my two-footsquare site, I was drawn to the sloped site and tree roots. I intended to emphasize the pull and gravity of the tree roots by using fabrics and elastic bands.

The creative name comes from the word puno, which is associated with tree roots in Tagalog.
