THE CHALLENGE WAS TO FIND A LOCATION WHERE WE COULD SHOW OFF THE POWER, POISE AND PRESTIGE OF THE NEW JAGUAR XJ TO ITS FULL POTENTIAL. AS A RESULT, WE ENLISTED TWO OF THE HOTTEST MODELS IN TOWN, ONE OF THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHERS AND BOOKED A STUNNING LOCATION. HERE IS THE STORY OF THAT DAY.

The year 2010 has been a big one for Jaguar. Celebrating its seventy-fifth anniversary, the luxury car company has been busy updating its
exclusive line of products as well as astounding the world with its remarkable visions for the future. At 75, Jaguar is bursting with energy and the desire to lead the automotive world with its design, style and innovations. Earlier this year, the Middle East received its first delivery of the new XJ. For generations, the model has been one of the most beautiful sights on the world’s roads, but the latest edition, with its all-new exterior design, broke the mould for luxury saloons.

As the sun sets on another successful year for Jaguar, we collaborated with their regional head office to place this beautiful car in a setting worthy of its lines. No easy task. “The soft, rolling grass of the Yas Links Golf Course in Abu Dhabi provided the perfect backdrop,” said Naim Chidiac, the photographer. “The background of the beautiful clubhouse really set off the XJ’s colour and bodywork and at the same time provided a fitting setting for a car that has been designed to look at its best alongside a well-heeled location like this. “Putting the car next to the models on the golf course is an excellent illustration of how the XJ is a perfect complement for accomplished people who work hard but also live their lives to the full. Many owners of the XJ will also enjoy cigars, and you can see from these photographs that every aspect of this shoot integrates well with the car.” We selected two of the region’s hottest models to illustrate how the Jaguar XJ fits seemlessly with the luxury lifestyle of people who always want to look at their best.” “The models did a fantastic job by acting naturally and letting the Jaguar take the limelight,” said Patrick Brais, Virtuozity’s publisher. “But in fairness, it is hard to steal the show from such a beautiful car. I think the XJ turned more heads than the models did on that day, and they wouldn’t be too used to that.
