The LiveLife Experience There is no need to rough it to have a LiveLife experience. LiveLife Small Group Adventure Tours are your style of travel if you want the whole grassroots experience, with a small group, staying in superior style hotels and guesthouses. On many trips you will travel on private transport. The LiveLife experiences are those moments you know you’re really alive and experiencing something special. While it could be the instant you see one of the world’s great icons for the first time, it is more likely to be the moment you find yourself practicing tai chi in a village square, being treated 2
THE LIVELIFE
EXPERIENCE
Freedom & flexibility Sometimes people hesitate to travel in a group, for fear of being shepherded from one place to another, losing the opportunity to do their own thing. While LiveLife Travel Adventures have many included activities, there is also plenty of free time for you to be spontaneous and explore what, when and how you choose. Your leader will have plenty of great ideas on what to see and do, leaving you with the convenience of travelling in a group but the freedom to do as you choose.
to a homecooked meal by your new local friends or sharing a laugh with your fellow travellers as you try out a new mode of transport … an elephant jungle safari anyone? These unexpected moments are what travelling is all about, and give you a holiday like no ot Small groups, your style of travel We think the smaller the group, the better the experience. That’s why we limit the numbers on our Adventures tours to just 10 people. In fact most of our journeys average just 8 travellers. Travelling in such a small group is a bit like travelling with a group of friends you just haven’t met them yet. It also means you get to experience more of the local culture, something that’s not always possible in a larger group or by yourself.
Home away from home Where you stay is all a part of your LiveLife experience and something we put a lot of thought into. While you may not be staying in deluxe hotels, Comfort Adventures offer a superior level of accommodation that really captures the essence of a location. You could find yourself in anything from the colourful painted havelis of Rajasthan to a well appointed lodge in the heart of Africa or a simple apartment in Tuscany. You may even find yourself the guest of a local family getting a real Livelife into local life. Plus, solo travellers have the choice of paying a single supplement or sharing with someone of the same gender.
3
It’s all in the journey That’s why LiveLife adventures come with all manner of weird and wonderful transport options. On most LiveLife Adventure Tours you’ll travel in private vehicles although you’re as likely to find yourself paddling a kayak as relaxing on a cruise down the Yangzi River. On many occasions you’ll find yourself joining the locals on an overnight train ride or zooming through their streets on a tuk tuk.
guaranteed departures Because of our small group sizes, we’re able to guarantee departures for almost all of our trips. Unlike other operators, we generally run trips on a ‘maximum number’ basis, not a minimum. So unless minimum numbers are specified, once you have booked and paid your deposit, your trip is on!
4
Local payment Most of our trips involve a local payment that is collected by your leader on day one of your trip. The local payment will be held by the leader and disbursed for your benefit in acquiring incidental in-country services. Further details and information on your local payment are shown in our website and in the trip notes. Paying locally facilitates the flow of funds to local suppliers in countries that we travel through, keeping our prices competitive and in turn, we pass our cost savings on to you.
TripPlus discount There’s nothing quite like beating those post-adventure blues by heading out on another trip. Each LiveLife traveller who books three trips or more for themselves in the same booking, will receive a 5% discount off the total trip price (some exclusions do apply). Find out more at www.LiveLifetravel.com/tripPlus
The LiveLife leader Enthusiasm, versatility and knowledge of local culture is second to none − in most cases it’s because our leaders are taking you round their home country! In fact, 85% of our leaders are local. Others are westerners with an urge to share their passion for travelling in foreign lands. Every one of them is the reason why so many travellers return to us year after year. In some destinations you’ll have the added bonus of being accompanied by a local guide with specialised knowledge on the history, culture or importance of your destination.
Testimonials “LiveLife ran the tour I was hoping for. The mix between free time and planned activities was perfect. It allowed us to not only see the sights, but to experience the heart and soul of the country.” Dan Moore

Take me to Morocco The truly exotic nature of Morocco is spellbinding and never really leaves you. From scenery that is strongly reminiscent of the Australian Outback, through to market tableaux that could be from the time of Christ, Morocco really does capture you by surprise at every turn. Our Adventure tours of Morocco have been researched and designed to focus on the real gems of a big country that has an immense amount to offer adventurous travellers. Morocco is a destination that can be discovered in keeping with the philosophy of The Inspired Traveller; world class adventure travel to places of the heart.
10 Reasons to travel to Morocco The beauty of Morocco is that it’s a country diverse in adventure, culture and heritage, and regardless of your travel style, you’ll find something here that suits you. Here are ten good reasons you’ll want to make Morocco your next holiday destination:
1. Trekking experiences are plentiful. The main mountain ranges in Morocco are the Rif Mountains, High Atlas Mountains, Middle Atlas Mountains and Anti Atlas Mountains. The Rif Mountains, located in the northern section of the country, are covered with cascades, forested land and caves. Expert trekkers will find more challenging terrain in the High Atlas Mountains.
6
2. Beaches in Morocco line the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts. The Mediterranean Coast has a rockier coastline, and the water on this coast tends to be a little rougher. If you want to swim, head toward the Atlantic Ocean. Surfing is also a popular sport in Morocco. 3. The Imperial cities of Morocco are teeming with history. Marrakech, Fez, Rabat, Casablanca and Meknes house a variety of palaces, churches, mosques and museums.
4. Riads offer an interesting study of Morocco’s architecture. At one time, Riads in the cities were palaces or grand courtyard homes, but today they’ve been turned into hotels. These grandiose, majestic structures offer an inside look at Morocco’s culture through the distinct architecture. 5. The expansive Sahara Desert can only be appreciated once you see it for yourself. Whether you prefer to explore the Sahara Desert with a 4×4 tour or a camel ride, this area of Morocco is truly unlike anything you’ve ever seen or experienced. Quad tours will quickly transport you over the sandy roads and through the desert villages while the camel rides allow visitors to take in the otherworldly beauty of the desert at a slower pace. 6. Moroccan cuisine is flavourful and fun. Turn your dining excursions into cultural experiences with meals rich in stews and couscous. Moroccan cuisine is filled with subtle flavours of herbs and spices. Dishes are often prepared with locally caught fish, chicken or lamb. All meals are accompanied by mint tea unless you request something different. 7. Shopping in Morocco is an experience to be remembered. Fez, Casablanca and Tangier are the most popular shopping hubs in the country. It’s easy to get lost in the winding mazes of souks packed with ceramics, leather goods, baskets, carpets and jewellery. The medinas also have plentiful shopping opportunities. While shopping, you will be expected to bargain for the goods you are interested in purchasing.
8. Morocco’s intricate culture is apparent as you travel throughout the country. The country’s history encompasses the Berber people, Roman Empire, French and Spanish settlers who tried to claim Morocco as their own. As you move from city to city or region to region, you’ll be able to see what influences these different cultures have had over the years. 9. Moroccans love festivals. Whether you’re looking for music, dance, storytelling or something else, chances are there’s a festival taking place somewhere in Morocco at any given time. Mingle with the locals and enjoy the cultural vibe when you plan your holiday to incorporate one of the many festivals. 10. You can relax and learn a little something about Morocco at a traditional steam bath. People have been visiting the country’s steam baths for many years. Visitors today can either visit modern spas or seek out a traditional steam bath after a long day in the sun.

Late bookings For bookings made within 15 days of departure, LiveLife reserves the right to charge a late booking fee of AUD$50 per booking. On some trips it is not possible for us to accept late bookings. local payment Most of our trips require a compulsory local payment, which is part of the contract with you (the customer) and LiveLife Travel Pty Ltd. This amount is the final payment for your trip and is to be paid in the specified currency, in cash to your leader upon arrival. The local payment is non-refundable, and is considered part of the total trip payment. Further details and information on your local payment are shown in our brochures, website and in the trip notes. Paying locally facilitates the flow of funds to local suppliers in countries that we travel through and therefore helps to reduce the overall cost of your trip On some Overland trips you contribute to a Kitty instead of a Local Payment. The Kitty is a compulsory local payment put into a central fund and overseen by the travellers and the crew. It funds accommodation, camp meals and activities which the group does as a whole. A full description of what the kitty includes is in the Trip Notes. The kitty amounts published in this brochure may change. Current Kitty amounts can be found on our website so please check for the up to date Kitty amount 48 hours prior to your trip commencement. Insurance Travel insurance is compulsory for all LiveLife travellers. Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability. We also recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance at the time of booking. passports and visas You must carry a valid passport and have obtained the appropriate visas when travelling with LiveLife. Please ensure your passport is valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas for your holiday. LiveLife cannot accept responsibility if you are refused entry to a country because you lack the correct visa
Documentation. responsibility You acknowledge that travel on an LiveLife trip requires a degree of flexibility and understand that the trip's route, accommodation and modes of transport are subject to change without prior notice due to local circumstances. Should LiveLife deem it advisable to amend an itinerary for any reason, it may do so by shortening, varying or re-routing any trip. These changes are binding and additional expenses will be charged to you if the reason for any alteration is outside LiveLife's control. While travelling with LiveLife you agree to accept the authority of the leader and local operator at all times. You are aware that travel within a group may involve compromise to accommodate the diverse desires and physical abilities of group members. You understand that LiveLife reserves the right to decline, accept, or retain any person as a member of the group at any time. You acknowledge that LiveLife contracts with a network of companies, government agencies and individuals to assist in the running of its tours. To the best of LiveLife's knowledge, these third parties are qualified to perform the duties they are contracted to perform. However LiveLife will not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss, delay or irregularity that may occur due to the behaviour of these third parties. LiveLife will not accept responsibility or liability for any traveller who contravenes any law or regulation of any country visited. No employee, servant or agent of LiveLife has authority to vary these conditions. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. participation form All LiveLife travellers on group trips must sign a Participation Form on Day 1 of the trip. Please note that signing the form is a pre-requisite of travelling with LiveLife. You're out there in Asia, Africa, the Middle East or Latin America! You are likely to be exposed to the elements and/or altitude, stay in very basic lodgings for extended periods, travel in whatever means of transport is available and basically take it as it comes, whatever comes! It can be tough. Travelling with LiveLife the accommodation is certainly not 5 star - however on LiveLife Basix accommodation can be much simpler again. While this has been requested by young travellers (who want to save the money for other things) our experience has shown that older travellers generally don't enjoy more basic accommodation - plumbing that works, lights that are bright, floors that are clean all become much more important! Remember you may be travelling in Asia, Africa & the Middle East so a lower level of accommodation will be more "in your face" than it will in the west. open age LiveLife small group adventures are designed for travellers of all ages - we seem to have found a travelling style that suits all ages - assuming you are fit and healthy - and take travellers from 12 to 80 (12-17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult). The trips work brilliantly, with great group dynamics and social interaction. The majority of travellers are in the 25 to 45 age range. LiveLife Basix is different - the majority of travellers are in the 18 to 30 age range. Please note that, due to the higher than normal physical requirements or long and arduous nature of travel conditions, some of our overland tours have upper age restrictions. On all trips we require travellers over 70 years of age to complete a Self Assessment Form prior to travelling.
