It’s a wonderful time of year in the Arabian horse community. We’ve finally gotten some relief from the Arizona heat, and we’re starting to prepare for winter in Washington state. When we get back to wearing sweaters and seeing the autumn leaves, we get excited that the U.S. National Championship Arabian Horse Show is upon us. We’ve worked all year to set the stage for this amazing event and we couldn’t be more honored to represent all of you and your incredible horses this year in Tulsa.
This year marks the first time that Orrion Farms will represent and show a select group of amateur performance horses, trained by Rob Bick. They will be competing in the Western Pleasure and Performance Halter divisions and we are very excited to cheer them on.
Our U.S. Nationals show string is one for the history books they are immaculate from top to bottom and are ready to perform for the world. We’re very proud to have prepared them with tremendous love and respect, as each and every one of them is extremely special. We’re confident there will be a big wall of red roses hanging on the Orrion Farms stalls when we’re finished.
We know you all have a choice in training operations for your horses and we are deeply grateful that you have chosen us to look after your treasured animals. Whether you have a show horse with us, stand a stallion at Orrion Farms, or allow us to represent your horses for sale, we are extremely grateful for your business!

The annual Arabian horse competition calendar in North America is bookended by two imperative events: the Scottsdale All-Arabian Horse Show in mid-February and the United States Arabian & HalfArabian National Championships in late October. The culmination of an entire year’s worth of aspirations, expectations and achievements, the U.S. Nationals continues to showcase the best of the Arabian breed for nearly 70 years and counting. Its highest honor –that of United States National Champion – remains one of the most prestigious accolades of recognition in the breed worldwide.
An integral component of Orrion Farms’ success and acclaim since inception, triumph and impact at the United States National Championships has been exponentially expanded in the most recent decade of competition. Having been recognised as Leading Breeder in 2023, Orrion Farms is also incredibly proud of resident sires DOMINIC M and PA KID KHAN, both of whom have been honored as leading sires of U.S. National winners in Breeding and Western disciplines, respectively, for several years in succession.
Team OFW 2024 is comprised of nearly two dozen exemplary contenders, from promising yearlings to seasoned performers both in-hand and under saddle. Representing leading breeders, inspired owners and dear friends from all across the globe, the OFW 2024 list of contenders is ready to lead by example and rewrite the record books, with universally respected professionals Andrew Sellman, Rob Bick, Manuel Luquin and Grayson Sellman at the helm.

My first U.S. Nationals was in 1991. I was 9 years old ... Simeon Shai was Champion Stallion, Gaishea was Champion Mare and Patrick Swayze presented the flag in the opening ceremonies. I loved everything about it!
My #1 moment was when Andy won the Senior Stallion Championship with Pyro Thyme SA in 2012. He was my heart horse and Andy presented him beautifully on behalf of my grandparents.
MY USN MUST HAVES are Starbucks and Zaxbys!
My first U.S. Nationals memory was 1990 in Louisville ... sitting in the upper deck of Freedom Hall in a sold out arena... Ali Jamaal was Champion Stallion.
Favorite memories are too many to count...but I am incredibly fond of LAN Chavela being named Unanimous Champion Mare in 2022!
MY USN MUST HAVES are hay, grain and water for the horses and Heineken 0.0 for me!
My first memory of U.S. Nationals was in 1990 when I was nine years old. I sat in the upper deck of Freedom Hall with my family and chanted “Ali” with much of the crowd as Ali Jamaal was named Champion Stallion.
My #1 moment was when NW Siena Psyche, a mare I cared for, was named U.S. National Champion Mare as a four year old.
MY USN MUST HAVES are my phone for social media work and Orrion Farms Sugarfina candy!
My first memory of Nationals was seeing LD PISTAL show ... my all-time favorite horse.
My favorite memory would be LAN CHAVELA and Andy winning Unanimous National Champion Mare. She was a smoke show that night! I’ll also never forget my first time showing at Nationals. It makes my heart full thinking of going up the ramp, horse snorting, and all my friends cheering.

The original Orrion Farms location in picturesque Ellensburg, Washington, situated on 160 acres of fertile farmland just across the Cascade
Mountains from metropolitan Seattle, remains the beating heart of the program. It houses not only the majority of the OFW mares and young stock, but also the breeding operation that continues to create some of the most influential and sought after horses in the breed.
