Who W HO I am I AM (...)

I studied psychology at the University of Salamanca, the oldest in Spain, for two years. And that was good experience for a freshman who had never lived away from home. But I realised that was not my vocation… in time to start all over again and do what I really find fascinating - graphic design! My marks in my two first years testify to my passion and abilities in this field. I must be an Art man, because my other greatest passion is music. I love listening to all (literally all) kinds of music, from rock to classical music, and folk. I play the guitar and can manage with some other instruments like drums, saxophone, piano and flute. Of course I have some more interests, among which I’d like to mention my commitment to the youth group and the charity work of my local church. As for the latter, I have worked as a volunteer, especially in activities organised to raise funds for development projects in developing countries like Zambia, where my sister is a missionary and an aid worker rescuing kids from the streets. In a more intimate level, I love my large family and my girlfriend.

Experience abroad + culture: (relate to fondness for music) (...) Design (...) English: I have a good command of spoken and written English, as my C1 certificate proves. Not all C1 certificates are the same, though. Mine I got at an Official Language School, a state-run institution, which belongs to the most prestigious language learning system in my country. By spending a year abroad, learning and communicating in English, I expect to fine-tune my command of the language.

Marks: You can check my academic record and will see that my marks have not been poor, not even average. And those I got while combining my studies with a part-time job at a bookshop working as a designer and shop assistant. That means I have learnt to organize myself to make the most of my time. I will not waste the opportunity of studying and living abroad for one year! Portfolio Future: If I’m eventually given the chance to study at your university, I will have the honour of including that in my curriculum vitae. But who knows? If I ever become someone in the world of art and design, you will have had the fortune of counting me among your students! Be that as it may, what I can assure you is that you will have an enthusiastic learner who will do his best and will not miss this opportunity.
