Forthcoming is a zine focused on my travels through Japan at the culmination of my University studies. It is an amalgamation of self-discovery and expression utilising my two favourite disciplines ––– graphic design & photography.

HIROSHIMA CITY OF THE WWII
A–BOMB ATTACK OF 1945
06/08/1945 was the date that the USA unleashed their nuclear weapon – in the form of an atomic bomb – upon the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The order was executed by President Harry S. Truman in an attempt to end the World War. It was the first time nuclear weaponry had ever been used outside of testing. Hiroshima has since been rebuilt and now houses the Hiroshima Memorial Peace Park & Museum on the site where the bomb struck. We visited Hiroshima only a few weeks after the country commemorated it’s 71st Anniversary, all of us admiring the message of peace that they promote at the Museum.

No further photographs were taken after this last night in Hiroshima. The next day was spent travelling back to Tokyo on the Shinkansen, before embracing our last night in the capital city of a country that we had all longed to visit since our early teenage years.
