BRIEF
Presented project is an international competition ‘Kaunas Concert Centre’ entry. Program required a creation of concert and conference center as the most important cultural building of Kaunas in connection with European Capital of Culture 2022 title. Building has received patron - M.K. Čiurlionis; Lithuanian painter, composer and writer, one of the pioneers of abstract art in Europe. The site was located at the Nemunas riverside, in front of the old city of Kaunas. Ogranisers expectation was to design new landmark and culture centre of developing Lithuanian city.
DESIGN DESCRIPTION
The design of new Concert Centre prioritizes human scale and context of location directly at the riverside with a consideration of views to the old city. Design is focused on creation of a building with a unique character of figurative, poetic gate which welcomes to cultural events and experience the natural environment of Nemunas. This welcoming design motif binds the new Concert Centre with Kaunas in terms of physical connections and immaterial references to local tradition and cultural heritage. Design is focused on flexibility of designed spaces to achieve possibility to organize simultanously separate events, futhermore on creation of interior public spaces interconnected with riverside boulevard to let local community use the building on daily, public basis.

Elevation design inspiration The leitmotif - welcome, is reflected in rhytmic ornament on facades, referring to traditional folk art of sashes, which were woven and handed to welcome. These linear elements play structural and sun shading role for active facades and give the cubes of concert hall and conference centre various look, depending on the time of the day; simple, elegant, white turn into dynamic, vivid and colourful in the night.

BRIEF
The task of the competition was to design a castle resort - hotel with additional culture functions on the historical site in Roccamandolfi. The town is located in Apennine Mountains. One of the tourist attraction in this place are the ruins of the castle on the top of the hill. The middleage architecture has bound with landscape, so the competition task was to propose solution for this area to find a way to restore the hill and provide with new function.
DESIGN DESCRIPTION
The idea for this project was to recreate of historical path leading to the castle and a renewal of the main function of the ruins - the culture place but not in literal manner. Project tried to respect the nature and historical architecture as much as possible. Hotel rooms are hidden under ground, beneath wooden platforms and connected them with gravel paths. The only visible things are a glazed, shining boxes - the entrances and multifunctional spaces located on each of the platform. Every room face astonishing view towards the Roccamandolfi and surrounding mountains. At the end of the path - in the castle ruins there is designed the platform with box as well but its’ structure is bigger and has another functionality. It is a place for cultural events, meetings, local festivals. Beneath this structure is located a museum of the Rocamandolfi history.

BRIEF
The subject of the my bachelor thesis is project of a new type of coworking office building in famous urban distric Eixample in Barcelona. Project consider problems of modern work spaces and architecture solution for office empoyees’ needs. Analysis showing lack of the high quality office spaces for small companies. The project also considers the Barcelona city urban problems with lack of multifunctional districts and green area in the Eixample. The idea of the buliding functionality is example of model office space and fits in current way of office design.
DESIGN DESCRIPTION
Main idea of the project was the new mode of operation in the builiding. It presuppouse that the office space renting would not be traditional and the users can pay for time they spend in the building, not the area in it. All of the spaces would be avaliable for everyone, what gives opportunity to design different kind of office spaces. Users could freely choose the work place, depending on their own preferences or type of work. The site for the project is located in the cornner of Eixample block. In the borders of the plot there is a part of 40s’ Eucort car manufacture. This building is a important part of the new structure and become a entrance to the new courtyard garden. Ground floor and the interior of the block is a public space with retail facilities, restaurants and recreation space for neighbourhood. The building is a 6 storey structure with one-floor green gap. The main core of functionality is a green atrium with staircases and footbridges connecting diversed office spaces. Interior design of the building is a study of all kinds of office spaces with proposal of solution for typical users problems. It is a complex design which can be developed in the future.

Interior design solutions
Individual work rooms Group of the 5 rooms with integration space. Each room has a natural, direct daylight. This variant solve the problem of social isolation of individual working persons.
43 Coworking space Design of this space is based on one, big, shared table. Users can see and control work of each others and ask for advice or help without any doubt. This solution gives oportunity to interdisciplinar share of knowledge.
Open-space with interaction room Main problem of typical open-space office is lack of posibilities for integration and interaction. Also the workers are anonymous. Addition of the extra room with space for meetings, quick breaks and openable wall changes the character of the open-space and makes it more human-friendly.

BRIEF
Presented industrial design course project is located on old river harbour in Wrocław. Project includes overall masterplan for this area with vision of revitalisation and reincorporation of this district into the city again. Key features of design are: preservation of crucial existing buildings to protect heritage of harbour, implementation of new structures, that corresponds to urban grid of area and increase functional diversity, creation of public riverside boulevard to atract visitors from other parts of the city.
DESIGN DESCRIPTION
Architectural concept is focused on creation of functional hybrid waste recycling industrial plant on the one hand, and educational facility on the other. Additionally due to sustainability aspects and newest technologies designed building is predicted not to have negative impact on environment and surrounding edifices. Project is directed on technological process analysis and user paths. Consequently whole waste management cycle is organized in linear structure, from deliveries zone to convertion of materials. Futhermore visitors path works similarly, users continue their journey throughout Environmental Education Center from entrance foyer with reception and cloakroom, through lecture rooms, exhibition spaces to suspended pathway in industrial hall that explains practical features of recycling process, path ends in a cafe with harbour view.

Heritage
Greenery
Masterplan assures preservation of existing harbour buildings from XIXth and XXth century with complete technical, functional and aesthetical renovation. All existing structures without architectural or historical values are intended to be dismantled.
Project predicts creation of public greenery system, public plazas and squares connected by boulevard to separate industrial zone from located in close proximity residential area.
New structures
Public space
Designed buildings constitute complementation of existing urban structures in linear manner, adapted to harbour dock. Volumes of this implementations are analogical to historical edifices. Height of all designed buildings creates coherent riverbank.
Public spaces system is created by urban plaza interconnected by riverside promenade with direct access from office and retail buildings predicted in masterplan. Mentioned boulevard would serve as main pedestrian and cyclists route.
Transportation
Functional Zones
Design creates duality of transportation; roads enables direct service to all buildings on site, simultanously predicted water transport system creates possibility to attach whole district to Wrocław’s River Public Transport System.
Buildings have been located in groups to avoid relations between functions of different levels of negative environmental impact. Consequently creation of industrial, retail, office, recreational zones respectively.

BRIEF
Ołbin is a district in Wrocław close to city center. It is a green area placed next to the river where now parcel gardens are located. The task of the course was to design urban plan for this 64 Ha area for residential use. In Wrocław there is a problem with traffic and design of new residental district have to face this problem. There is need to make a sufficient road connection with a rest of the city, also the new bridge on the Odra river is necessary in this place. The buildings along the edge of the site are really diferent. There is a church with a cementary adjacent to it. Then a dispersed old buildings of hosital and univeristy. On the south there are a XIXth century townhouses. On the west side there are buildings from the end of the XXth century or newly built residental estate. Most valuable aspect of the site is the river, especially in Wrocław where there is a well developed water conection through the canals and hydrotechnical objects.
DESIGN DESCRIPTION
The grid of this urban plan is based on a scheme of finding road conections - north-south from main comunication plaza - Plac Grunwaldzki to the district on the other side of the river; east-west to connect distirict with nearest main road and tram lines. Designed plots and buildings close to existing urban structures refer to historical buildings height in order to get organized space. The extention of extisting green square leads to the river. Parallel to the river bank there is a promenade which fill the gap in the city promenades network. Next to the crossing of promenade and bridge there is main plaza with marina and museum. The idea to keep this area green and atractive for city, one of the part of design is a big park which leads from west-east road to the plaza. It divides the site into smaller, more human scaled neighbourhoods. The shape of the proposed buildings try to allow the best view to river or park for apartments as many as posible. As a part of the presented project there is more detailed design of one of mentioned neighbourhoods.

BRIEF
Presented project was a part of Architecture Design class at Univesity in Alicante. The subject of project was ‘New stories of the houses in Spain’. Main task during the semester was redesigning one, chosen, contemporary house for a new client. This project is based on redesign of Gardenhouse_G by ADD+Arquitectura. The task was a challenge because of the type of client - person who suffers on one of mental disorders. In this particular case it was OCD - obsessive compulsive disorder. Before final project it was important to understand the client, the problem of disorder to treat his disorder as a possitive thing and to help him in unconventional way. One of the ways to get this knowledge was research and project of ‘microarchitecture’ - space for one person where architecture gives oportunity to feel positive values of having OCD.
DESIGN DESCRIPTION
After analysis and researches about obsessive compulsive disorder it clarified what strenghts can be used and how the treatment should look like. OCD person has better ability to focus on task and their live is more ogranized than typical people. They are perfectionist and life in very ogranised enivroment what causes better efects for their work and physical health. The idea for ‘microarchitecture’ was based on this statement and finally ended up as multifunctional floor design. Project was square piece of floor in which were hidden folding furnitures creating different configurations. Each of this configuration was prepared to be perfectly designed place for different activity. The ideas from project was developed further and used in redesigning the house. Prepared spaces without typical rooms with defined function gives oportunities to, step by step, treat illness by changing every day habits. On the other hand fully hidden furniture makes house interior perfectly clear and ogranised what keeps the client calm and happy.

Configuration 1 Work space Researchers report that a major reason for distractions in the workplace is physical pain. Improved posture can increase your energy and your overall productivity, decrease headaches and other pains. In addition, an upright spinal column and healthy posture fosters improved flow of blood throughout the body and to the brain. This can be achieved by a kneeling chair, considered perfect for a good posture.
66
Configuration 2 Eating space One of the best way to eat is doing it sitting on the floor. The benefits are several: improvement of digestion, it helps keep the weight constant and not overeating, improves your posture. There are also major benefits to the mind, sitting cross legged while eating calms the nerves. Eating food while concentrating on every aspect of the food – what sitting on the floor gives you – its smell, taste, texture and how much you are eating, is the key to an healthy nutrition .
University Project Multifunctional Floor
Configuration 3 Relax space Every person relax in other way but usually it means sitting or lying. The best position to calm nerves, regulate a pulse and rest but not fall a sleep is semi-lying position. It works like armchair, the back is supported so it make you feel comfortable but you have to stay awake. Moreover, sitting on the floor could improve concentration and thinking. Researches say that semi-lying position is the best for inventing new ideas but in the same time make person feel relaxed.
Configuration 4 Reading space Reading while lying down on the stomach is considered one of the best position to read, you are comfortable, have free hands and the book, when propped in a semivertical position, is in the right place in order not to strain your neck and back. When in this position it’s easier to focus more and for longer periods, without the need to fidget or move to take notes.

BRIEF
Presented project is a student competition submission for a culture center and plaza design in the middle of the Florence city at the Piazza Larrgo Pietro Annigoni. The site is on the axis of the famous Bruneleschi dome of Duomo, which is the most recognisable building in the skyline of Florence. The functional program considers auditorium for 500 people, art gallery, library, restaurant and shop. This place would become a place for tourist, local inhabitants and studets from nearly located university where art and architecture can bond the people.
DESIGN DESCRIPTION
To make this place more interesting among historical city of Florence the main idea was to give the space new value as an unusual attraction to bring people into plaza. Project poposal set up transfering panorama of the city skyline visible from the roofs into the plaza. To make this idea real, project contain special structure with mirror panels attached to the top of the facade of one buiding. This structure located on a proper angle reflects Florence skyline into plaza, especially Brunelleschi’s Duomo dome. The building is created by seven modules containg different functions with a central round internal plaza bonding the modules all together. The blocks are pushed into the ground. Internal plaza and entrances to the modules are 3 meters under the ground level of the site. Because ceiling levels are much higher than 3 meters, the modules upraise from the ground composing a micro urban scale on the main plaza. The division and shapes of every part was based on walking routes and demanded floor area of every function. Moreover, creation of the separated modules allows them to function independently from others. The glass roofs alow skylight to get into building where it is needed. On the auditorium roof, there is an amfitetheral space for watching a city in the mirror or events which could have place on the plaza space. In front of the street we forsee a space for extention of nearly located marketplace which may revive this area. All of interventions architectural and functional create new, lively space in the city.
