WELCOME THE STUDIO Jalnena does not own a studio yet, she is set up to bring her work to your home. The only photographer we are aware of who offers this in and around Auckland as well as across New Zealand. We also have a studio available that we are able to hire for your session if preferred. Jalnena brings her equipment and props for your babies session, using the warmth of the sun and a portable studio light with her to create beautiful images of your new baby. As we bring our studio light to you, we will never have to worry about the weather or the darkness of your home. Our images on our website/portfolio is a reflection of this. Jalnena work’s in school hours as she has young children and during select weekends and evenings. Parents can happily relax during the session in their own home comforts, while baby is used to all those natural sounds around the home. Siblings can happily play with their own toys and feel more at home. We find a better result in relaxed brother/sisters participation and it shows in sibling portraits, Jalnena loves photographing babies in the outdoors during warmer months please enquire if of interest.
Session days are Tues, Wens, Thurs, Fri 10am - 2pm and Weekends. All hours Evenings on request.

ABOUT Jalnena’s process is a little different, she handcrafts all her outfits. Style’s each session for each baby she photographs. If you have something special in mind for your session, a little kiwianna hat or special idea we happily will incorporate it into your babies images, Jalnena loves pets they are apart of the family to please let us know if we can make your session even more special. We hate being pushy, feel a connection with our work, we’d love to provide that for you, each session is captured and presented to you using our online gallery. From there you have access to our online shopping cart you can order prints canvas or albums and purchase downloadable digital files. You may choose as many prints as your budget desires with no minimum spend. We offer packages, and we value the importance of digital files. Our ultimate goal is to see our work printed at the very best quality possible for you to enjoy forever, we provide prints from the top labs in the country. We have payment plans and work with you to afford exactly what you would love for your family.

The session fee is a deposit towards digital packages. The session fee includes Artists time and talent. Payment due before session, Non-Refundable. Price subject to change. Session lasting 2-4 hours. Can include family, siblings, or a full session of all baby. Online ordering gallery of 30-40 images for you to choose your favorites or all of them.

The Mini Newborn Session: SESSION FEE: $300 10 digital images via digital download 8 x 12 fine art print Session lasting 1 hour (2-3 set-ups) For Newborn ONLY No online ordering galley with this session. 10 best images chosen and edited by Jalnena, and available for instant high resolution digital download to your computer with full printing rights for you to print as you wish. Prints and products are purchased separately. These sessions are designed for those who want to focus on only baby for a short amount of time. $100 non refundable session fee due at time of booking. THE PERFECT TIME | Maternity Jalnena photographs mums to be around 32-37 weeks.
THE PERFECT AGE | Newborns Jalnena photographs newborn babies as young as five-fourteen days old and for that reason sessions run smoother and a much wider variety of poses can be achieved. During those first few days newborns are still sleepy allowing Jalnena the best opportunity to coach them into a variety of positions for images. Babies over 2 weeks old still are captured beautifully, baby may be more wakeful we tend to wrap baby more at this age, we have photographed this age successfully.
THE PERFECT AGE | Babies Jalnena recommends photo shoots to be scheduled when baby is 6-8 months old. At this age, baby will be sitting on his own, grabbing for his toes and smiling from ear to ear!
