STATEMENT
Proposal Go to google.com and search for image upload. The first thing that is listed is Imageshack.us. Following this website are other widely used image hosting websites that all offer similar services: uploading files and images. Another common characteristic they have is that the design and presence is not up to current standards in the industry. Through this project I want to design and re-develop an image hosting website that holds true to appealing design aesthetics and friendly user interface. Audience This website will be geared toward the average online surfer. I want to capture the “eco-friendly� presence like BP gas. The interface will be simplified so that the user will not be intimidated by the technology. Motivation I personally upload many images and screenshots, but the top sites either lack visual comfort or usability. I want to create a well-branded image hosting website that covers these flaws. In the future, I plan on setting up a system where the money earned from the ads will be donated to a charity or organization. This way people will feel like they are helping while they upload.
