HOLIDAYS ON PEACHTREE Midtown's the place to be in Atlanta this holiday season. The whole neighborhood is getting together to produce a spectacular 4-day series of holiday events, promotions and exclusive shopping opportunities. Get all the details in our feature story on pages 8-9.

Natural 'RE' Sources Find ways to be more “green” at Natural RE-Sources (called "RE"), coming soon to 999 Peachtree

educe. Reuse. Refill? A new retailer coming to the 999 Peachtree building is all about helping customers find ways to be more “green” -- for example, re-filling and re-using laundry detergent bottles.

'RE' is owned and operated by Metro Atlanta native Gene Cox and his wife Xiorelis (pronounced (C-or-ell-is), who have both earned the professional credential LEED Green Associate administered by the United States Green Building Council. They've established partnerships with some of Atlanta’s most sustainability-minded professionals, including award-winning kitchen designer Tim Odom and local organic product expert Carol Held (EcoEmporium).

Natural RE-Sources will offer products and services to peak the interest of everyone from the merely eco-curious to the most planet-friendly families in Midtown. At 'RE', you'll find everything from Georgiamade recycled glass counter tops featured on HGTV to tiles made from palm trees and purses crafted out of recycled seat belts.

Look for 'RE' coming soon to 999 Peachtree, at the corner of Peachtree and Peachtree Place.

Revolution 11 From the 20th century to last season, vintage tells a story that transcends egos and eras of alterations at Revolution 11

A

Revolution 11 is so much more than a place to buy vintage. Revolution 11 Vintage Market & Studio is a clutch for your style and a playground for your spirit. Nothing is off limits, including private parties, trunk shows, staging and costuming.

fter a successful popup Vintage Market this past September, Revolution 11 owners Nova Hudson and Hillary Quinlan in partnership with costume designer Lionel Lymon have just cut the ribbon on their much-anticipated new store at Metropolis - 921 Peachtree St.

Look for eclectic events and partnerships as Revolution 11 owners explore things that they are passionate about. Their latest muse is fine artist and philanthropist Victoria Moore, whose paintings invite you to look beyond our reflections, to value authenticity and put history into context. For more Revolution 11, visit them online at Revolution11Vintage.com.

Of the new shop and their wildly successful pop-up event, Hudson says, "We felt like we were in some kind of wonderland! We had friends, neighbors -- even tourists cheering us on! There’s something incredibly special happening on Peachtree Street, and we’re feeling pretty fortunate to be a part of it." 3

events that include designer appearances, celebrity guests, fashion shows and musical performances. Several designers participated in this year's Atlanta Vogue Fashion's Night Out with pop-up stores at 999 Peachtree Street, including Habachy Designs, Revolution 11, KLH Fine Arts, Lisa Jill Jewelry, Olive and Pieces of Me. See some scenes from the opening party for the Habachy Designs store popup store below.

he country may be struggling to resist the pull of an economic downturn, but the fashion industry wants you to know that's no excuse for skimping on style. To get the word out, organizers created Fashions Night Out, an unprecedented global initiative designed to restore consumer confidence and boost the industry’s economy. Every September, more than 100 cities come together to highlight fashion and support retail with exciting

Street Food Man about town George Krauth dishes on the fashions, flavors, designs and décor he discovers as he travels the globe tracking trends in his capacity as Creative Manager for Jamestown Properties. This quarter, George explores Street Food.

W

Jamestown Properties is investing in street food related events in places like Mixson in Charleston, SC (mixson. com) and Warehouse Row in Chattanooga, TN (warehouserow. net). In fact, our friends at Midtown Alliance are going strong with a highly successful "Street Food Thursdays" event in Midtown Atlanta.

hy is it that when Americans think of street food, we picture corndogs and funnel cakes? Street food, especially as it’s being done today, is nothing like those stomachaches-on-a-stick found at carnivals of yesteryear. From farm-to-truck fare from Grace’s Goodness in Georgia to sizzling Mama’s Empanadas in San Francisco, today’s street food is all about the freshest locally sourced ingredients cooked right in front of you.

Look for food trucks and pop-up chef events at future Jamestown developments like Atlanta's up-and-coming Ponce City Market. (poncecitymarket. com)

In addition to being delicious and affordable, street food also helps build community. That’s why

Meet Tucker Berta By day, she's a marketing and PR consultant for top communities such as Serenbe and Midtown, but by night she's "loiterer in chief" at Empire State South.

boyfriend, Nick, gets almost his entire wardrobe there. 2. Eyedeology has the most chic specs and shades in Atlanta. 3. CB2 is the best for gifts and entertaining, and they also have incredible towels.

Q: Tells us about your role at Midtown Alliance: A: I create and execute programs and initiatives for Midtown Alliance that bring activity, foot traffic and exposure to Midtown. Q: Why are you "loiterer in chief " at ESS?

Q: What things do you recommend doing in Midtown this fall?

A: It really is a bit ridiculous how much I'm there. Beyond Hugh Acheson & Ryan Smith's super local, healthy and delicious menu, they serve the best coffee in Atlanta, have the coolest staff, and the energy in the restaurant feels great. Also, they have a bocce court.

A: 1. Picasso to Warhol at the High -- it's going to knock your artsy socks off. 2. Wogging (my term for half-walk, half-jog) in Piedmont Park. Enter the park at Charles Allen drive right after sunrise, walk across the lawn to the pond and you'll be treated to the most spectacular views of the park and the skyline.

Q: What are your favorite places to shop in Midtown? A: 1. DREWLEWIS. My 6
