The final set of FTF bulls this year is a good solid showing from our now seasoned Deeg McDavid son. Jopkin is a cookie cutter type of 81F sired bull, with a smooth head, shoulder, long spine, and great leg set. These McDavid sons are very athletic, moving effortlessly, and are the type that fit right into the range bush to cover cows in those hard to reach places. The 919G Tymarc female who raised Jopkin is a big middled girl with a great hair coat and tidy udder.

Jacobs is a friendly bull that fits right into the pen. Being born moderate and growing well, he is a moderate made calf that can probably go into many types of herds. His dam is a sweety Tymarc girl that fits the type, red, hairy, big middled and tidy uddered.

For this set of McDavid sons, Kernel is the performance bull. He was a real feature on grass this summer and would give the over the shoulder glance all the time, showcasing his deep quarter and wide top. Post weaning, he took to the hand feeding, always being one of the first to the trough. Kernel’s dam is a big red cow that milks hard and travel great, and is back to the great 12U cow I mention ever year as hallmark at FTF, so the maternal is present in 943K.

The final FTF bull listed in the catalogue this year is an easy doing smooth made rascal back to the big barrel 450E cow, who has a nice tidy udder and great feet. I can’t say enough about the versatility these McDavid sons have to offer, and stress that if you breed on grass or in the bush, these sons will get the job done, and won’t break the bank in doing so. Phenotypical correctness and breeding efficiency are the cannons of this pedigree, and the Karate Kid has the traits to get the job done.
