Firstly, we would we like to thank Chet and Jamie for allowing us the opportunity to sell our replacement heifers at their annual sale. Of the 125 cows calved we had 70% heifers. If we had the land base we would be retaining these females, they are too good to be sent to a feedlot. All calves were vaccinated with Pyramid FP 5+ Presponse SQ, and Fermicon 7 at pasture turn out, then again at weaning. As well all heifers were given Lutalyse to reduce the risk of an unwanted pregnancy. We will be selling 10-15 open heifers, with a high Simmental breeding percentage in both red and black.
