Be confident in knowing that we are with you every step of the way. We are more than just your photographer, we are also your advisor throughout this whole process. We created this welcome packet as a road map for your session. We have spelled out the process for you from the consultation to us personally delivering your portrait order. You will also find helpful tips on wardrobe choices, and other items that will ensure you will be thrilled with your portraits. Consultation This step is the starting point to your session and is an extremely important one. We prefer to do this consultation in your home. The session will take 30 minutes to an hour. There are several reasons we prefer to do them this way, the following are the top three.
Your comfort and convenience -
We have found that our clients enjoy this experience because they don’t have to rush around after work to get to an appointment. We also don’t have to worry about if there enough tables or chairs available somewhere to sit and relax and discuss the session.
Your decor -
This is actually very important and is often a forgotten step. Your decor can influence the different locations or backdrops that are chosen for your portraits. A formal image would be appropriate for a formal living room, and a relaxed and fun image would be more appropriate in a family room. Knowing what you prefer on your walls and the placement of the image helps us shoot and process your images for those areas.
Your Wardrobe -
You can literally take us to your closets and show us what you plan to bring. We can then scout for the best locations to showcase you and your wardrobe. We are stylizing your personalized session together.
Preparing for your session Clothing Solid outfits photograph best, AVOID STRIPES AND PLAID!! Bring a variety of colors, even if your favorite color is purple. Earth tones and denim work best for outdoor photos. Stay away from clothing with wording, this only distracts from you. Outfits with your School name or logo are fine. Different styles of clothing gives us more options, all of the same style gets boring. Bring something dressy, something dressy but fun and some of your every day stuff. Mom and grandma will like it that you wore the dressy stuff and we will do the fun stuff for you! Choose clothing that is flattering to you. Sleeveless outfits tend to show more of your arms and shorts show more of your legs, so keep that in mind when you are picking outfits. Changing fast means we will have more time to create great photos for you. If you are not sure of what outfits will work, then bring a couple extras and we will help you decide what will work best. We shoot a variety of poses with each outfit, from Head Shots to Full Length, so plan your outfits from head to toe! Group your outfits together ON HANGARS. Wrinkled items will not be photographed, so iron all of your outfits before coming in. To save time, place your accessories in a zip lock bag and attach it to the hanger of the outfit they go with. We ask that our girls bring cheer leading or dance spankies to wear under their dresses they bring. This helps comfort them during posing for obvious reasons. We ask our gentlemen to bring coordinating t-shirts to wear under their garments. Please don’t wear tshirts with lettering as it may show through in the image.
Hair
Do not cut your hair right before your session. It is best if you have it cut a couple of weeks before so that it has time to grow out and look natural. Also don’t do any drastic style change before your session. We do not have brushes or combs on hand, so pack those too!
Props Bring it! If you play sports, bring your sports uniforms and equipment. If you are In the band, bring your musical instrument. What ever you may do…bring it. These are the things that make you unique. If you have a sweet ride, we can photograph that too! Let us know in advance if you are bringing something, so we schedule enough time.
Glasses
Check with your optometrist to see if they will loan you a similar pair without the lens…because glass will glare. We can work around this if they wont, however, editing glass glare takes additional time and could delay your viewing.
Sunburn/Tanning
If you are going to Tan before your session, do it far enough out that you don’t look like a lobster because peeling skin will not photograph well. Also vary your swimsuit top or use a tanning bed to minimize the tan lines.
Pets
We love PETS! They are part of your family so don’t forget about them. It is usually best if you can have someone bring them and then take them home, because most of the time it is a traumatic experience for them and they just want to go home. If you have a pet you can’t take out easily, like a horse, lizard, bird, etc., let us know and we will come to them as well with you.
Friends & Family Friends or family are always welcome. They can help you with getting ready and you can also have a couple of photos taken with them if you would like. The extra hands are also helpful during the session to hold reflectors or flashes for us.
Tattoo/Scars/Braces
Tattoos can be difficult to retouch out of your image. If you have one that you don’t want to show, wear appropriate clothing to cover it up. We can touch up scars or moles so if you want them removed or softened let us know when you order your portraits. If you have braces, we will take some with and without them showing. We can retouch them out; just let us know at your ordering session.
Weather We live in Nebraska, so we all know the weather changes daily if not hourly. If it is just cloudy, no problem because the clouds are our friends, they actually HELP! When we schedule your initial session we will also schedule a rain out date.
Additional Tips
Jewelry/Accessories
Jewelry and accessories (Hats and Etc.) are great, but keep it simple. The photos are of you not all of your BLING! Bring different stuff for each outfit; just make sure you know what you want to go with which outfit. Keep the specific items with the outfit. This will make changing quicker and allow more time for creating your portraits.
Undergarments
Make sure you bring the correct undergarment for each outfit. If you have Flesh colored garments, they tend to work best. Also if you bring a strapless outfit, make sure you bring an undergarment too. We also strongly suggest bringing either dance or cheer leading spankies to wear under your dresses. This will help you feel more secure during getting in and out of poses.
Fingers and Toes
Don’t forget that your nails will show in some of the photos, so make sure you have them done before your session. Avoid any bright colors that will draw attention to them, it is best to stay with a neutral color. Don’t forget those little piggies, because we will also take images where you feet may show.
Makeup
You should wear your makeup just a little heavier than you normally would. Use fresh mascara because you don’t want it to clump your eyelashes together. Do Not use any make up with sparkles in it, this will only make little white spots all over your face and you don’t want that. If your skin is shinny then make sure you bring some powder with you to help tone it down. Retouching is included in the price of the final portraits, so don't worry about those blemishes. Putting a little cover-up on them will help tone them down.
Shaving & Complexion A fresh shave always photographs better then a 5 o’clock shadow so make sure you shave before you come to your appointment. Ladies, don’t forget to shave under your arms and your legs. Many poses will show these areas.
Your Session
Senior Sessions are no longer than 4 hours. Some sessions only take 2 hours and some take the full 4 hours. Your session fee covers this time together as well as editing your images afterwards. During your session we will travel to several locations. The locations will include an urban environment as well as a natural environment. The urban environment will provide you with an “edgier� look to your portraits. It will take place downtown in alleyways, along the streets, and around interesting buildings. Graffiti also adds an interesting flair to your portraits. The natural environment will take place in parks, open area, fields, and anywhere else that mother nature has provided us with a beautiful backdrop. These portraits are more traditional in nature, however, showing off your prom dress in the beauty of nature is a nice contrast to the norm. Your session is personalized to you. If you want to stick with one or the other session type, we will do that as well. Also, if you have a suggestion or a place that is special to you, please let us know. These are the places that make you unique and different and we want to capture them.
Viewing & Ordering At the conclusion of your portrait session, we will schedule your viewing and ordering session. This will take place in 7-10 days. We invite you to come to our home to view your portraits. We provide drinks and snacks for you to enjoy while you view the slide show and your images. After presenting all the images we will help you decide how you want to use those images. We have many wonderful products to choose from ranging from prints, albums, jewelry, and other specialty items. We will be preparing your order at this time so please have all decision makers present. This session takes an hour on average, however, some sessions have taken two hours. There is never a rush because we understand the complexity of this process. If you choose to order a coffee table book or an album, we will design it together during the ordering session. We find that when we design the album along with our clients it saves time because we don’t have to send designs back and forth for approval. This also means that we can deliver your album along with the rest of your order.
Delivery
Your order will be ready for delivery in 2 weeks. Once we have received all the items in your order, we will inspect them to ensure that they are perfect. Once we are done with the inspection we will contact you to set up a time for us to deliver them to you. During the delivery we will show you each item in your order to ensure that you are 100% satisfied. We will even hang your wall portraits for you if you would like.

Artist Signature Piece The Artist Signature Piece is a truly unique item. Becky will choose which image she wants to transform into something special. She loves doing these pieces because it lets her be extra creative. The image is then printed on watercolor paper with torn edges, then double matted and framed to provide you with a ready to hang piece of art.

The Trio Collage Frame includes 3 - 7x7 prints on watercolor paper. Each print has torn edges to give it that art feel. They are then double matted and framed. This piece is wonderful to display three images within one piece and will definitely give you that WOW factor.
DVD Slide Show At the beginning of your image presentation you will see a slide show of many of the images created during your session. This slide show is available to purchase separately or is included in several packages at a discount or even free. Many of our seniors purchase this slide show to play during their graduation party. $299

This App is truly amazing. Once your ordering session is completed, every image you purchased will be placed in an album that can be saved on your I-phone, Android Device, I-pad, tablet, or on your desktop. All images purchased can be placed on-line in a web gallery for friends and family to purchase images of their choice. Digital Images You will receive a flash drive containing every image you ordered with the purchase of the Platinum or the Signature package. Digital Images can be purchased separately for $100 for each image and can reproduce quality prints up to an 11 x 14.

Guarantee
If you are not 100% satisfied with your images we will first attempt to do another session at no charge. If after a second session you are still not completely satisfied with your images we will refund your session fee. We are very pleased with our vendors, however, they sometimes make mistakes. We quality check everything before we package and deliver your order. Sometimes this will delay your order, but we will keep you updated every step of the way. Your products and wall portraits will be heirlooms for generations to come. We stand by the quality of these products. If you find any issue with your order, please contact us to discuss how it can be repaired or replaced.
