THE BIG PICTURE
24 APRIL 2015
Wrapped in plastic, branded with barcodes and braving the miserable Monday weather, members of Rhodes University's animal rights group, ROAR held a meat protest outside the Day Kaif as part of their annual Animal Rights Week. The week included presentations, screenings, tastings (not of members!) and a party that promised to be wild. Photo: Jane Berg

Grocott's Mail is hosting a biweekly photography competition. We invite all photographers, beginners and experienced, to send in their pictures. There is a different theme every second week, which we will announce on Fridays. This week’s theme is 'My Grahamstown in loadshedding'. Please send your action photos (current and high resolution), taken in and around Grahamstown, to editor@grocotts.co.za before Wednesday 29 April midday. Please also include a couple of sentences explaining what is happening in the picture (i.e. who, where, when and why). The best photo will be published as the Big Picture on the Makana SHARP page.
