EDITOR’S LETTER Representation is an incredibly important part of life. The figures we see on screen, in office, and on the covers of magazines can inadvertently affect our senses of self worth. When we don’t see people similar to ourselves represented in the public eye it can be detrimental to our self esteems and the confidence we have in certain abilities. I’m a firm believer in acknowledging and appreciating everyone for their individuality and the things that make them them. To feel seen is to feel recognized, and I think there is great value in recognition. Through this book I wanted to shed light on the unique stories that exist within our school, and compile those stories into one spot that anyone could access. Being someone who does have a platform to make myself heard, I felt an obligation to use that platform for good. I hope that through this book you see a wide range of people represented and recognize the value in making people feel seen. -Jane Greene
