“So, WHAT IS NEXT ? ”

It’s been 14 years since I fell into architecture. 6 years ago, 2016, it was defined the future as the term, 4th Industrial Revolution in WEF(the World Economic Forum). In March of that year, the match between AlphaGO and Lee Se-dol who is one of the top Go player candidly represented facing reality, a new era and what is the issues remained. Still, architecture history of previous century is continuing succession of questions and answers with respect to ‘So, what is next?’. Frank Gehry's answered to this question by lifting the middle finger and made a definition of more than 90 percent of the world's architecture. So, what question will we ask again in his answer? The order that has dominated the world for decades will need to be redefined due to global pandemics. The limitation of architecture, which is still difficult to keep up with the speed of the times, is an important topic to be considered by our generation from now on. From the early architecture, which began in the Altamira cave, to the skyscraper in the desert, numerous technological advances and human aspirations accumulated. The basis of that aspiration was accompanied by questions about ourselves to create a better future and environment. As history would prove, we will find the answer to the facing problems and the upcoming problems. In an era without ‘-ism’ , my work was just an ‘effort’ itself to create a better next. I strongly believe that the only way a human being can extend even 1mm from themselves is persistence and sincerity to an action. Selected projects in this document include some projects which were not advanced due to limitation and others which took a step closer to completion thanks to wonderful ideas. From fundamental questions about construction and composition methodology to raising questions about actual phenomena, I think it is likely my ‘fight’ to go next. Despite various practical limitations and hardships, the beginning of all projects entailed with the following question. “So, what is next?”
