SIMILARITY figures with similar characteristics which we see as belonging together
PROXIMITY similar figures, located close to eachother,are seen as a group the visual attraction of masses
CLOSURE a tendency to close or complete incomplete figures or groups
CONTINUANCE a group of figures arranged to imply a direction and to continue
TRANSLATION movement of a body from one point of space to another without any rotation, reflection, or change in size
ROTATION the action of rotating a body around an axis or center
REFLECTION a symmetry operation that rotates the mapping of a figure out of the plane 180Ëš
