Daardie gevoel van skoenlappers wat onherroeplik wapper... Dit het ek gekry tydens die Follicle Hair Atelier handelsmerk-ambassadeur fotosessie. Die wat ons volg op sosiale netwerke sal weet dat Pols op ‘n missie was die laaste paar weke. Ons was bevoorreg genoeg om nie een nie, maar drie massiewe fotosessies te kon doen in twee dae. Ja, dit verg bitter baie beplanning, maar dit is al die ure en elke sekonde die moeite werd. As mens die foto’s sien en jy weet in jou hart- die is ons lewe en ons roeping. Jy weet dat daar niks anders in die hele wye wêreld is wat jy eerder sou wou doen nie. Ek weet na die paar dae, dat daar hoegenaamd niks is wat ek nie saam met die span mense sal kan aanpak nie. Hulle maak die onmoontlik, moontlik. Ek is totaal en al oortuig dat hulle enige iets moontlik kan maak. Dit vat soms net ‘n glimlag, drukkie, gesels, belangstelling of oogkontak om ‘n ordinêre oomblik, buitengewoon te maak.
As mens oop is om in te neem is daar soveel wat jy van ander kan leer en begryp. Soms moet mens bloot luister. Die voorblad was die een wat ek voel gaan Pols op ‘n ander vlak vestig en met die nuwe era waarin Pols beweeg, is ons ook baie opgewonde om met BEL Future Apps hande te vat om aan elke Pols-lesers die geleentheid te bied om ‘n gratis ‘Pols Magazine’ App af te laai, waar ons alles onder een sisteem gaan hardloop. Daar gaan baie agter die skerm beeld wees en danksy stiki.co.za, gereelde GRATIS geskenkies. Dit is ons manier om aan elke lesers iets terug te gee en ook groei ons saam met die nuwe era om gemak aan almal te bied met ’n alles in een applikasie. Die Pols App is beskikbaar op Android en binnekort op Apple. Dit is die vreemdste gevoel om voor en agter die kamera te wees.

Andre Lotter, who attended the Royalty
Soapie Award 2015 nomination evening held at The Venue, Melrose Arch on 19 February 2015. When asked what he thought of the evening he said, ‘it is always a great feeling when actors and crew come together to celebrate their craft and get appreciated for their dedication and hard work. It was genuinely a star-filled evening and Goliath and Goliath got the crowd rolling with laughter’. Even though the competition is fierce, the kyknet Soap, Villa Rosa, bagged five nominations on the night. This includes, Therese Benade for Outstanding Female Villain, Andre Lotter for Outstanding Male Villain and Dorette Potgieter for Outstanding Supporting Female. Villa Rosa also got nominated for Best Soap and Most Popular Soap. The Royalty Soapie Awards evening will be held at the Durban, ICC on 28 March 2015, where Goliath and Goliath will be hosting yet again. Raspberry Tart Raspberry tart: Ingredients:
Rubus idaeus is the most common type of raspberry and is red-pink in colour, hybrids actually come in a range of colors, including black, purple, orange, yellow and white and to be honest none of those colours do it for me, give me a luscious swollen red raspberry and you will make my heart beat faster.

It is amazing how this want and need has become a major part in our lives... and let me start off by saying its actually an easy task to manage if you know how... the key is to know yourself!

Dawie is sinoniem met Ontbytsake. Hy is al van begin dae af deel van die dinamiese span. 1. Dawie, jy het nou al baie mense, aanbieders en kollegas gesien kom en gaan, ook onderhoude gevoer met van die land se mees merkwaardigste mense, is daar iemand of iets wat na al die jare vir jou uitstaan en wat jy vir altyd sal onthou? Ek vrees altyd die vraag! Daar is natuurlik baie mense wat op hulle eie manier uitgestaan het. Sommige het my heeltemal onkant gevang (iets wat nie maklik gebeur nie) – en Dowwe Dolla kry hier die prys. Ander het my weer so beïndruk dat ek skoon bewoë geraak het – Hein Wagner wen hier, maar so was almal op hulle eie manier spesiaal. 2. Hoe het dit gekom dat ’n ekonoom ’n ankeraanbieder word? Dis regtig `n lang storie. Kortliks, ek het eendag in `n radio ateljee gesit vir `n onderhoud oor die finansiële markte. Die aanbieder het nie opgedaag nie en skielik bevind ek myself in die aanbieder stoel. Daarna het kykNET vir my n program “Jou Geld” aangebied as aanbieder. Dit het vir `n hele klompie reekse geloop. Jy is ’n huiskok en is gemaklik voor die stoof, is dit ’n aanpassing en meer druk om voor mense en op televisie te kook? Ek hou baie daarvan om met mense te praat oor wat ek doen. Selfs wanneer ek my spyskaart aan gaste by my etes verduidelik, raak ek so weggevoer met die kos-storie dat ek amper gestop moet word. Die kamera-praat is egter n nuwe ervaring en ek het nog baie om te leer voor ek regtig op my gemak sal wees daarmee. Die “bekende kok” ervaring is nog maar ‘n nuutjie vir my…Maar as ek moet sê, is die “moeilike” element sekerlik om te sorg dat jy nie stagneer nie maar amper as’t ware voor in die koor moet bly met vernuwende idees en wat die neigings of strominge in die kos wêreld is. Iets raak baie vinnig “gister se nuus”! Die lekker is wanneer jy regtig kan sien mense weet van jou en waardeer wie jy is en waarvoor jy staan. 5. Wat lê vir jou voor in 2015? Ontbytsake is nou sentraal in my lewe! As ek my sin kan kry bly ek so lank soos Ula gedoen het.;) Verder het ek ‘n verbintenis aangegaan met Karusaf, wat karoo-lamsvleis onderskryf en produseer. Hulle leuse is “from the gate to the plate” ek spot sommer en se dis in Afrikaans “van die hek tot die bek” hahaha maar op ernstiger noot, gaan ek betrokke wees as handelsmerk-ambassadeur vir Karusaf. Ek en Mielie het ook n huis gekoop in Muckleneuck Pretoria, wat ons gaan ontwikkel as gastehuis so dis n groot jaar vir ons!
Eloise Cupido 1. Hoe het jy besluit dat die vermaaklikheid bedryf jou beroepskeuse gaan wees? Dit was nie ‘n droom wat ek al van my kinderjare gekoester het nie. Marina het die saadjie geplant deur my te vra wat ek beoog om na skool te doen. Soos die res van my klas het ek maar aansoek gedoen, werklik vir my beskore nie. Daar was eenvoudig radiografie in die Kaap en, op aansporing van Tukkies al plek waar ek aanvaar word. Maar onmoontlik sou wees. Die “magic” kom van die span af. Teen dié tyd is die program ‘n goed geoliede masjien. Die tegniese span onder leiding van Melinda, Maderi en Rob Russell is ‘n ongelooflike ongesiene ondersteuningsnetwerk. Dit is wat dit moontlik maak vir ons om so gemaklik te kan wees en soveel pret te kan hê. Dis soos om in die familie kamer te kuier. Daar is geen egos waarvan ek bewus is nie. Die kamerade, veral tussen Jan Harm en Dawie, is tasbaar. Dit is soms moeilik om by so ‘n gedugte span aan te sluit, maar hulle het dit so gemaklik as moontlik gemaak en het my baie gou soos deel van die span laat voel. Elke week voel of ek in so ‘n groot beer-drukkie toegevou word. Dis ongelooflik lekker om nog ‘n familie te kon skep. 3.

Grote griet! Dit hang af van wat daai dag aan die gang is. Ek dink daai balletjie word nogal redelik rondgegooi. Alhoewel die manne meeste van die tyd meer kanse benut vir gekskeer. Ek kom agter ons dames is meestal ernstiger. Maar gee kans! 4.

Wat lê vir jou voor vir 2015
Daar is ‘n paar opwindende projekte waaraan ek werk. Natuurlik moet ek ook hierdie jaar mooi beplan aan my troudag. Hierdie jaar gaan ek werk maak daarvan om my musiek te bevorder en shows te reël en te doen. THE PREMIERS
South Africa ranks among the 10 countries in Africa where human trafficking is rive, with 100 000 people reportedly being trafficked in the country annually. This is according to a recent LexisNexis Human Trafficking Awareness Index. The Missing Persons Bureau says a child goes missing every 5 hours in our country. In the last year alone almost 1700 cases of missing children were reported to the South African Police Service, the majority of them between the ages of 13 and 18 years.
Two-hundred local and international role-players will attend each of the South African premiers of the film. The US cast and crew will also be in attendance at the screenings.
It is against this backdrop that local and international role-players are joining hands to place the spotlight on this worldwide crisis. They are doing this by making use of one of the most powerful tools currently known to mankind namely, entertainment.
The red-carpet premiers will include a screening of the 93 minute film as well as a performance by the American singers together with the cream of the crop from the South African music industry including Riana Nel and Andries Hendrik Potgieter.
They include director and producing team, Jaco and Philipa Booyens, lead actress, Nicole Smolen, and supporting actress and Mrs America 2013, Austin Williams.

In March this year, After Eden Pictures and SHARE togethernow.org will unveil their feature film titled “8 Days” to South African audiences.

A big media presence will also be visible during the red-carpet events and the whole project will be accompanied by a large scale media and marketing campaign. The VIP events will allow ample time for the guests to network and socialise.

In South Africa, a dedicated ‘Anti-Child Sex Trafficking Fund’ has been set-up under a public benefit organization, the Business for Empowerment Trust (“B4ET”), to ensure that the funds raised by the various awareness campaigns are channelled to organisations tasked with fighting human trafficking. The first distribution of R200, 000 will take place at the Johannesburg premiere. The B4ET forms part of the “Business 4 Initiative”, a BEE project initiated by business and steered by Louis McLaren (www.b4i.co.za).
