BACK STORY To say that the city is overflowing with people is an understatement. The population is rising exponentially as the government incentivizes procreation, the formerly sprawling metro-area has been reigned in, and the last few farmers are replaced by automated machines and relocated to The City. Only the oldest members of the population can recall the brief moment of time in their childhood when people still lived in single family homes. They had space. It seems absurd and utopian to even consider that amount of space for any modern city dweller. Those times and the luxuries of space are now only a form of collective nostalgia‌ dreams.
11
XL world
toxicity Many years ago when the city was the exposed spaces, the city was full of the fresh air and no toxic at all. But today, the toxic air becomes to replace the fresh air in the city and there is left now only of the toxic air. Citizens are among the hard time to survive without working to exchange the fresh air .The ways to survive is they need the respiration or conditioned room which require high technology and also high costs. So the conditioned spaces become very expensive, only the rich could afford.

Doat building
The structure site of the respiration consists of ducts which come from this space (Doat) and go into 2 directions; one going in to the FOM building and the other going out to the station to transfer fresh air.
15
L k and c The concept of my design is that the whole dwelling concealed environment and constant air supply is needed. Since the conditioned rooms for the fresh air for the survival are very expensive, K and C illegally sneak to live on those ducts. I have design the spaces for K and C as they sneak to use the fresh air from the ducts by piercing small hole of those ducts and adapt the system of inflatable and deflate of plastic to concealed their illegal rooms.
16
SELECTIVE WORK
alleyway perspective
The alleyway is located between the buildings. It is the conditioned space for people to sell and have food, so it is extremely crowded .
k and c’s space plan
There are 5 rooms located in linear sequence for K and C. The first room on left is the bedroom, the second is the bath room, the third which is located at the center is the living-dining room, the fourth is the kitchen and the fifth room on the right is the study room which has the planting covered with transparent plastic to let the light in. The size of each room depends on the size of the air ducts they live on and the hole they pierce in order that their concealed house would not affect the FOM building’s duct system.
17
longitudinal section
There will be 2 air ducts connected to each room. The top duct is the fresh air duct entering into the room and the bottom duct is the dirty air duct exiting out of the room. Inflating the room is to switch on by spin the wheel to let the air in. Deflating the room is to open only the bottom duct to let the air out. Open both of the ducts is to balance the pressure in the space.

SELECTIVE WORK
when the living room is inflated, the kitchen will autonomously be deflated. For the living-dining room, the floor is made of the freeform transparent plastic placed in the middle of the room because it has no duct under it. To maximize the area, there is no need to design a place for TV placing, they can make use of the projector instead. The projector showed on this area depends on how inflation the room is.

Talking in terms of commerce is the progressing of transporting/trading the product (box) from one place to another place. So i revealing the exchange scene of cargo in suvannabhumi airport which boundary from the starting to the ending of the journey of the box ( door to door) which both portray the processing of relationship between architectural elements to another from the limited form of each elements. For the still portrait capturing the moment of exchanging value of the box by using the architectural framework increasing the monitory value of the box by playing as a living space for the box. Also it’s about the time that the box has been transferring to another place.

The project has been develop from the process of transporting the box with the logistic relationship between architectural element and the cardboard box. that’s why for the second phase i choose NET-A-PORTER. it’s something interested me into history of the box that consist of many things happens inside. So, as i mention in phase2 netaporter is a huge boutique online shopping. they don’t need a store, It’s all about the logistic of how product (box) combine together as a knot and that knot become an exposure to people by using the concept of x,y,z axis create the net-a-porter flagship as i shown in Master axonometric.

03 The Mount Meru -eVolo Skyscraper Competition 2015 collaborate with eakapob huangthanapan 2015
What is the point of living when one is oblivion to the essence of one’s life. In the future era, technological advancements and globalized norms spread throughout the globe. Human could find ways to prevent and solve phenomenon considered threats to mankind. Through fast-paced developments, people can finally feel safe with a promising future where environmental problems and such are no longer dreadful apprehension but an obsolete anxiety of the past. Digital advancement becomes a part of human life. Everything is within our reach and people strive less to live. People thought to be salvaged from the past conjecture of future decays and continue to find ways to commit the everlasting betterment, physically… The project reminiscence Mount Meru represents the mythical Mountain Meru, believed to be the ancient center of the universe and the world. The mountain’s geometry and concept were long implied within the Buddhist architecture and fostered within the cultural fabric of Thailand. The built structure is no ordinary skyscraper as it also resembles the revitalized trend of temple among the jungles of man-made environment. In the period where physical superficiality is being prioritized over the mind. The period when Thailand tight knots of spiritual cultures starts to loosen with people’s mental states fluctuate within the fast-paced global developments. The reminiscence of Mount Meru served to function as what the traditional temple did during the period of moral deterioration, a place of spiritual refuge.

The project consists of three major compositions which are the core tower, the outer shells and the interwinding curves of circulation. Also on ground levels are areas provided for traditional festive events and sanctuary for animals. As the Eastern philosophy stated that all living lives should be appreciated and human being should not thought of themselves as superior. The erected inner tower provides area for temple ceremonies and complexes, in upper floor also provided areas for meditation. Living in the digital era, people strive less to survive with the aids of technological gadgets and appliances. People use less of their brains and occupy too much information within their heads. The act of meditation is proved to aid and enhance the brain’s activities. The interwinding route of pathways for individuals to walk with careful consciousness. It is wrapped with segments of shells that seclude the individuals from the outside world. The pathways also represents the journey of life in circular movement with surrounding walls screened with tradition/electronic representations of philosophy reminding the modernized generation of people the values of moral and the control of one’s own spirit. Towards the top the path becomes narrower as it resembles the last phrase of life towards to cremation tower where the cremation ceremony takes place for the deceased. It is placed at the top-most pinnacle of the whole structure. It also represents the pinnacle of life emphasizing the fact that at the end everybody will become nothing but tiny bits of intangible particles dissipate into air. It also implies the cyclical circle of life where your body transform into another type of energy that can be breathed by other animals or plants or be converted into yet other forms of energy. An emphasis that a person’s life would be recycled and returned to nature.

In the near future, Thailand consists of a wealthy capitol ruling more than 60 poorer districts cause of the centralization of the engaged people to the capitol to gain a better life, income, jobs and to be the best in this metropolis. Most of civilization growth only in Bangkok metropolis, Not only is there a larger demand for living due to the growth of the population, the proposal begins with a critique of the key source of the issue, the urban growth boundary. Therefore its become the turning point of poorer want to be a part of big city and It’s not an easy way of moving their rustic life into the capitol ,not every rustics can be a part of the capitol, Most of them come as a one person from each family cause of their earnings not enough for living in capitol.

As in term of centralization to the capitol, Attiki Odos aimed at revitalizing the role of housing is the creation of living together .It’s the centralize of rustics from all over the 77 districts in thailand, people who has completely different background from different lifestyles but all have a same goal to have better life. It’s a new way for them of living in the contrast visual of centralization. Odos act as a new subset of dwelling units, every units or tributers is connected and congregated in a new subset of urban family. BACK STORY Taking in to consideration the three prominent elements presented in the rich context of Roccasalenga: the historical Castle, the landscape and its wildlife, and the night sky, this project aims to combine together these critical factors taking users integrating it into a simple yet power ful experiential path. Linking together the castle and the village, the structure takes the form of a single elevated concave curve centered toward the castle, the structure allows for an unobstructed panoramic view on one side while giving a view directed towards the castle on the other. With this single gesture, hotel guests and visitors are able to take in, at the same time, the landscape view from all sides, the castle view, and the night sky at all times during their continuous journey. In addition, observation spots integrated along the pathway also provide fine resting spots along the experiential path. From the main elevated path, a series of subtle ramps lead down to the units on lower grounds that blends itself in to the landscape. The Resort cabins are designed as convex gestures in parallel with the elevated path in order to achieve a similar view-out effect (Panoramic view towards landscape and directed view towards the castle.) from a more immersive position. The units are placed shifted from each other so that each unit would not obstruct each other’s view. Furthermore, the convex creates a personal courtyard for each unit that could hold a variety of functions (ie. Swimming pool and meditation area.)

The advantage in contradiction of the site being industrial versus commercial allows the mechanical site to be active and alive. 08 Dynamic infrastructure Amphibious Architecture INDA YEAR 4, 2015
BACK STORY A collaborative design-build project with William O’ Brien Jr, Assistant Professor of Architecture at the MIT School of Architecture + Planning; conducted at the International Program in Design + Architecture (INDA), Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. An investigation into architectural form-making, digital methodologies and hands-on fabrication culminated in a public installation of a large-scale, architectural object–a suspended, conical-shaped beacon–at the Church of Santa Cruz River Ferry Pier in the Kadeejeen Community, Thonburi, Thailand. The beacon comprises nine overlapping & interlocking tiers of resin cast shingles; each individual tier with a number of modular shingles unique to its own. Nine full-scale shingle prototypes are digitally-fabricated for silicone mold fabrication; the modular shingle units are subsequently cast in translucent resin. Periodic rises and falls of the tides at the River Ferry Pier facilitate dramatic & dynamic site conditions that define ephemeral relationships between the observers and the illuminated observed. Gravitational force induces deformation of the lower tiers, transforming a rigid geometry into a gentle, supple one.
93
PHASE 1
AMPHIBIOUS STRUCTURES
The design strategies which will be developed in this course will be soft. Therefore, we will start by researching and familiarising ourselves with different tools and techniques that we can employ in order to engage the site in a dynamic way. Our site is amphibious. It is unstable. It is delicate. It exhibits an intricate, ever-changing relationship between ground and water. This dynamic condition makes it necessary to import tools, materials, and construction techniques from other disciplines such as naval architecture, fishing, hydrology, agriculture, geography, archaeology, and meteorology. Through learning and borrowing from other disciplines, we hope to expand our architectural vocabulary and produce an environmentally responsive proposal that addresses this complex relationship between ground and water.

“Equilibrium Platform”
PANITNAN PATANAYINDEE
The First Prototype The first idea focusing on how the strcuture could manipulated through tidal changes and how can two different weight of platform could respond through these legs structure vertically Developed from my first idea of prototype, the first intended is to experiment of contrasting weight of the 2 objects and the relationship when the structure is growing up between vertical and horizontal. By a heavy object act as an anchor while the light one floating according the tide. So by the nature of the structure that could be flexible, I found the similar idea on “scale instruments” based on what is the things to be weight and does it need to be counter weight in the same time.
first prototype
final prototype
95
Technical Analysis and Design Development
So “the scale is the instrument that chosen to be analyze. These instruments I categorized into 2 main different of an equal arm beam balances and unequal arm beam balances. From this drawing portray the different approach by each types totally have a distinguish on how to calibrate, the capacity of the instrument and how accurate it can be, which i think this research could help to develop the idea further.
96
SELECTIVE WORK
Final amphibious structure I’ve include the research in to my design by have another approach while my first prototype does transform the space according to the tide ,but the final one is also rely on another counterweight which create more strength on the floating platform (the red one) by using the same idea of the scale to make this counterweight (yellow piece in the center) create a different isolated space on another surround 4 platforms. And all of these surfaces have beam as the connecting arms from one platform to another. From my intention on this amphibious structure, the space could be more interested by transforming when the water change into a variety programs with the different levels platform in the same time.

PHASE 2.2
SOFT ARCHITECTURE, PROPOSALS FOR A DYNAMIC LANDSCAPE
The last and concluding phase will further expand the concept of ‘soft’ architecture through precedent analysis, allowing you to develop your manifesto and consequently your final design proposal. We will continue to mutually exchange ideas and share ongoing development with ETSAM instructors and students through biweekly online reviews as well as blog posts.

DYNAMIC INFRASTRUCTURE PANITNAN PATANAYINDEE The project is to propose a new dynamic infrastructural network that serves as a datum to the changing condition of the amphibious landscape, highlighting the dynamic features of the previously inaccessible site, as well as responding to the delicacy of the preserved natural park. First of all, to introduce the city of Cadiz. The city is situated on the southwestern part of the Spain and lies on a narrow spit of land by a bay of cadiz. There are 3 towns surrounding the bay of cadiz which is 1. cadiz 2.san fernando 3. puerto real which cadiz and puerto real has a population around 40,000 and san fernando is a town in the province of Cรกdiz, Spain. It is home to more than 97,500 inhabitants Covering an area of some 30 km2. , it is connected to Cadiz City by an eight kilometer strip of land and for centuries was connected on the rest of the mainland only by the Zuazo bridge. Most of the town around was divided by an area of wetland that some part of it, were used as natural park or some part that has been preserved with no accessibility. In the fact that wetland is one of a potential landscape that provide significant economic, social and cultural benefits. an important for primary products such as pastures, timber and fish and support recreational and tourist activities. important services to our environment; and when it disappears, so do those services. We lose vital flood protection, water cleansing, and food. People who hunt, fish, canoe, and photograph wildlife also rely on wetlands and All of the animals and plants that live in that habitat for all or part of their lives often have nowhere else to go. thats why wetland is so important to preserve.
105
So, My interest of the site is mainly based on its extreme contrast characters of the two lands, one highly dense with infrastructure and the other purely natural wetland which my site selected is a large peninsular of wet land along a sancti petri canal in the right hand side and atlatntic ocean in the left , the site including a 3 interesting aspect of landscape by 1 is the area of a marshland , and a swamp vegetation. 2.is an area that connect to a high depth of the sancti petri canal 3. is the estuary of the canal that connect to the atlantic ocean that’s also why there is no infrastructure connecting the San Fernando city and the extension of the Sancti petri that connect to A town of Chiclana de la Frontera. So these wetland is completely divided these two cities

Since there is an only Zuazo bridge to cross from San Fernando town that’s become a problem situated for people who lives in the city that has to go to the Sancti petri or Chiclana for a work or hang around. Most of people has to take a detour up above and downward to another place that taking more than an hour to reach there. So It approaches me to design a new dynamic infrastructure network that give dynamic experiences both directly and indirectly to people. The direct experience will be the physical experience on structures that constantly transform through tidal changes, and the indirect experience will be the structures that only act as an indicator, allowing people to know where to occupy and where not to occupy, or where is wet and where is dry.
107
6 COMPONENTS here there is a total of 6 components through my site 1. is an express track that located on a part of back shore along the beach 2. is a local trail located on the wetland that experiencing an understanding of the wetland guiding to an different interesting wildlife observation spots, mostly for people who comes hiking At the same time I also propose an recreation spot that experiencing a wildlife by, 1. a bird observing area located on the landscape that has highly vegetation on marshland which that makes its fruitful as a wildlife resources , 2. is an area of fishing dock according to a depth of the water which become a hotspot for people to comes fishing , 3- rest station is where these two local trail and express track intersected, And the last one is a bridge that also a combination of these two contrasting infrastructure where its cross Sancti petri canal from San Fernando to another city.

The express infrastructure These 3 kilometers linear infrastructure is the fastest connection from san fernando to chiclana de la frontera through a preserve wetland area, by the idea is mainly based on how to create a structure that not destroy a nature as a light structure. This structure consist of two lane of biking and walking but is not only serve a people as a boardwalk but also work as an indicator to understand a landscape better and allow people to know which part of the beach would be able to occupy or which is dangerous.

by proposing an offset line of the area that people would occupy a beach 100meter away a shoreline and cut a section to understand a landscape in the different slope of a beach to construct a walkway in the same slope according to a bike lane . So the structure of walk lane could be adaptable during a change of the slope along the way

The local trail In this area where a trail is located is in the area of fore island dunes that include many types of landscape such as a swamp vegetation, barrier flat or a sand dune. The idea of creating this trail is mainly based on the understanding of the landscape by mark a point of landscape that be able to accessible on a dune island and a part that is a linkage between these 2 island by the part that be able to actually walk on the dune consist of this device as a guiding for people who comes hiking to understand that which part might be flooding abit form tidal changes or which part is completely dry.

117
Bird observing area In the fact that there are a two primary resources being sought are food and nesting location for birds to migrate. So a bird observing spot is consisting of two circulation that allow people to access both when the tide is high and low, by when the tide is low there is also a specific area in shallow water where bird can reach fish both at the surface of water and when the tide is high the view changing according to a water surface that reaching to higher level of a dune and that’s make more landscape serve better for bird to hanging on a vegetation dune and to hunt a fish. And also there is a bird watch tower that is the combination of these two scenery for both when the tidal changes.

09 Tools for Architecture “Shielding the Intangibles INDA YEAR 4 2016
Introduction to Tools for Architecture Architecture can be described as a layer of protection but rarely is it comprised of a single layer. In fact, a multitude of stiff, elastic, fluffy or drippy materials layered together create architectural interfaces between environments. Seeking for a deeper and more unforgiving approach to architectural detailing, we will look at the design of spaces from surface to insulation to clip to bolt to hook and back to surface again and the spatial effects those surfaces create. We tend to think of architecture as something deeper than surface but it seems to be the case that we have been looking at the wrong side of things. The spaces, atmospheres, light, feelings and even emotions that we describe as something mystical, magical are, after all, material. A combination of layers that together generate the desired spatial effects. All these layers inhabit the inner parts of walls, floors, ceilings. The hidden parts of the architecture that we never get to see but that we perceive with other senses and together generate a certain quality of space.
Architects have in modernity gradually been pushed out of the depths of architecture, literally to the skin of buildings as the real building hides under aluminium panels or fake brick walls. If we would invite ourselves back into the world inside the thickening walls of modern buildings we would not find a meaningless void but a world of increasing complexity much more like an organic organism: pipes pulsating with cold liquids and hot water, thin wires carrying our streaming services, cloud services and often the actual structure of the building. This is the domain of the often looked-down-on consultants (in the eyes of architects). These complex voids are in contemporary architecture often large enough to be inhabitable. The studio will explore also the mass, or the pochĂŠ, as a space than can be inhabited. The aim of the studio is to design building systems for architecture that define an interior and an exterior where all structural and infrastructural details are purpose-designed. The result is an architectural interface between two (or more) spaces that has certain fixed and variable parameters and that controls a series of spatial effects. There will be absolute freedom with regards to the type of architecture that the system creates and there is no site or program restrictions since the aim is to design a versatile system rather than a singular product: a Tool for Architecture.

First of all to introduce, The electromagnetic wave and technological changes, there is no doubt that many things had changed in the last decades, some changes are for betterment and some are for worse. One of the fields which were greatly affected by the advent of technology is the way of interaction and communication.and yes that new technology has invented through the use of electromagnetic wave. Many years ago, the ways in which we communicated were limited to face-to-face. We start using sound waves when we starting to communicate even with sound. Or the idea of using a signal lamp to communicate was used in the 19th century. And then it’s the time of using Radio waves for broadcasting radio and TV programmes. Anyone with a receiver can tune it to the radio frequency to pick up the signal. .At this moment of time, communication has been transform to “ Wireless communication by the development of EM waves.

Inmos factory - Richard rogers His design was attempt to move all the services to the outside and split the interior into clean space for producing the microchip and also the clean space need to be enclose as much as possible. So from this study i took this idea and transform into this structure system as you can see before

at the present all these intangible wave have already been engaged in people’s everyday life 24/7 but a clear spatial boundaries of activities from using such invisible can not really be defined clearly or perceived. So the project proposes the architectural building system prototype that could spatially response to the intangible wave and define clear boundaries of functions and activities through the possibilities of both blocking and attracting signals.
