atlas
This atlas presents a series of observations on the project site located at Tikøbgade 5 and Lundtoftegade 87 in Copenhagen.
The atlas includes elements of the site that we consider most pertinent to move forward with our design, such as approach to the site, permeability of the block and a closer examination of selected existing structres. In our survey we highlight the potential of the existing wall and courtyard to be incorporated into our design and through this linking our scheme into the composition of the block.
7
motivation
Our intention behind this research is to understand the specificity of the urban block that we have chosen to work with. The photographs, drawings and sketches presented in this booklet are a result of an investigation seen as a transition between the written programme and the design process.
