The goal of our joint program in a truly international framework is to ensure that creative individuals, with passion for the industry and who share common values, are ready to face the challenges in the hospitality industry. Training students to work in clearly defined professions means offering a context that will lead to a synthesis between specialization and general skills that can be applied to a broader field. We are constantly asking ourselves what knowledge, skills and attitudes are always essential, despite rapid changes in the labor market, and what skills are vital for flexibility and for “lifelong learning”.

Degree

Maastricht Hotel Management School was founded in 1950 as a private school by local hotel companies, and gradually evolved into one of the Netherlands’ top-ranking hotel schools. Over the past half century, Maastricht Hotel Management School has obtained a solid reputation thanks to its broad network of contacts with international companies and hotel chains - many of which employ the school’s former students. Maastricht Hotel Management School provides first-class education for a career in the Hotel and Tourism sector - the fastest growing industry in the world. The school’s Bachelor and Master programs are aimed at students at the start of their career, as well as at hotel and tourism professionals preparing for moving onward to a position in higher management. Besides, the hospitality background of its former students has become more and more valued in other areas of economic life, and Maastricht graduates can be found not only in management positions in the greater hotels all over the world, but also in management consultancies, and in marketing, sales or HR positions in companies which are not directly linked to tourism. The Hospitality Management programs are taught at Bethlehem Castle, where up-to-date studying facilities contrast with a unique historical setting.

Living in

Barcelona

Barcelona is a Mediterranean city par excellence. Cosmopolitan, modern, welcoming, Barcelona has it all: history, design, leisure, the sea, an incredible cultural heritage and above all, a dynamic, creative culture: a perfect setting for business. Barcelona is modern and progressive. It is both popular and steeped in tradition. Barcelona has become one of the most sought-after tourist destinations, visited by those looking for unforgettable experiences. A first-class city for business, it is known for innovation and its open doors to diversity, making it the preferred destination for business and events. It is, beyond a doubt, an active city with a warm open character. It is an ideal location for professional studies in the field of tourism due to its long history and experience.

Living in

Maastricht

Maastricht - a city to love. Maastricht was founded by the Romans as Mosae Trajectum on a strategic crossroads of traffic routes and the Meuse river. The oldest city in the Netherlands is today one of the country’s preferred student cities. Its lifestyle and the concentration of bars and restaurants in the historic center give this city an atmosphere which is atypical for the northern half of Europe. Maastricht has continued to be both a crossroads for travelers and a city worth staying in. Belgium and Germany are literally a bike ride away from the city center. The city is also an ideal starting place for excursions to major European cities such as Amsterdam, Cologne, Brussels or even Paris.
