Whether you’ve been deliberating about Roman blinds versus curtains, or simply don’t know where to begin with it all, Emily can advise on the right window treatment to suit your space, and your way of life.

“Most people think you need to lose the curtains in order to achieve a contemporary look, but with the right elements, a curtain can look as contemporary as blinds, and soften up the sometimes cold lines of a window. It all starts with a pole, and there is a wonderful selection of colours and types that can offer you the clean lines of a contemporary finish. The fabric selection that’s available can be overwhelming, so a good chat about your personal preferences, and consideration of what else there is in the room to perhaps co-ordinate with is a great place to start. Also consider the natural light that comes into the room, and if you want to give yourself just a light shade, in which case sheers and voiles are a great option. These can be as bright and fun and patterned or as plain as you like, there really is something to suit every taste. Curtains can be full with a triple pinch header or much simpler either with eyelets or a single pleat."
