Present your AIESEC Experience and key achievements visually, graphically or in words. Make sure you include results achieved. I joined AIESEC in May of 2011, and since then I've been in COMM. First as a member in charge of information management and then as VP. Later that year I worked as a member of the OCR, managing the promotion. In 2012 I was one of the 3 VPs that unified the channels of external communication of AIESEC in CABA, one of the first initiatives that led to the integration of the LCs. Later that year, entering in a period of crisis, 3 of the 4 members of the EB decided to renounce to our roles and for the next few months I only participated as a designer for certain projects in a few LCs but not as a member of the EB. In February of 2013 I had a CEED experience in the city of Caracas, helping the COMM team of AIESEC UCAB, who had no VP, to build a structure for the area. Today they're perfectly functional. In March I returned to UBA as a TMP in COMM taking care of the designer role. Then I started working as a Community manager (current role) and as responsible of internal communications in TM, having then 2 JDs. Recently I joined a showcasing task force CABA to produce audiovisual resources to enhance our exchanges programs. So today I am a member of COMM, TM and this Task Force.

Present the three areas in which you have most experience inside or outside of AIESEC and describe your experience in each. COMM - I've always been a member of COMM and have a very clear view of all the process involved in the area. Not just in UB but in CABA, Arg&Uy and Global TM - I was OC member of a recruitment, participated in many assessment centers, induction days and selection processes and lately developing de internal communications of @UBA. OGCDP - I've been involved in campaigns and design of booklets for OGCDP, taken part in selection processes and interviewed potential EPs. Also participated as FACI in OPS.

What is driving you to be EB? Why have you decided to stand for AIESEC in UBA? And what do you expect to take out of this experience? My main driver is to align my personal goals with what I think UBA need today to perform better as an entity. I believe that as an EB member I can help to develop not only UBA as an LC but also every single one of its members, myself included. I feel that this is the right time and the right place to take this challenge and give back to AIESEC as an EB member all the things the organization gave to me in the last few years. What I expect is this, just use the knowledge and experience I gained through the years to stimulate the growth of the committee and its members.

What are your key strengths and weaknesses? How will they affect the role you are applying for? What will be your unique contribution because of who you are? My main weaknesses are the need to think everything very well before taking any action and maybe the lack of time during the week because of my job and studies. But because of that, I have also developed a great ability to manage time and limit situations; I've become good at thinking clear under high pressure and to be very efficient even though the time is short. That's what would make me unique: The capacity to think clear and straight even against all odds and close to the deadlines, keeping in mind the goals despite of the plans, because in times of crisis sometimes you need to find alternative ways to make things work.

What are your top 3 personal values? How will they influence your term? Honesty, which makes me sometimes hard to deal with because brutal honesty is not always something nice to hear. Integrity, I'm always transparent and aligned to my principles. There's no contradiction between my words and my actions Humility, I'm always open to challenge my own point of view when someone thinks different. But that doesn't mean that I would easily give up my opinion, I will defend what I think is right to the limits of my possibilities.

What is your expectation towards the next EB as a team? What are possible challenges you foresee in your future EB team? What would be your contribution towards those challenges? I believe that what makes UBA strong today, is what will make this new EB great: the union. The fact that every member is able to work without any problem with any other member of the LC. Also there will be challenges, maybe the lack of experience is our main gap, there will be important the cooperation with the other two LCs of Bs As. As one of the eldest members of the LC I'm willing to give my advice and sharing my functional knowledge with anyone that ask me to. Also working together with other LCs is something I did in the past with great results.

Why does AIESEC exist? Why do we do Exchange? AIESEC exists because the world needs it to exist. Because there's a true lack of leaders. Because the peace is an idea that's becoming stronger every day and yet is becoming harder to achieve every day. Because youth needs a voice and wants to take a main role in what's happening now and what's going to happen next. Because the exchanges are the key to help people see that the frontiers, races, religions, political views and cultures are not an excuse to fight against our fellow human beings, that we're all the same and have the same rights, even when we are wrong. Understanding this ourselves is the first step to achieve our goal. if we don't keep that in mind, if we ever forget why are we doing this and why we believe in this, then we will never be able to succeed.

Clarify the role of the area you are currently inserted in into driving more Exchanges. How does it make exchange happen? Communications are fundamental to the exchange programs because is the front door, our business card if you like, the first impression people have of us. What we say has to be clear, true, simple, nice to hear or read and also effective and give a full message in just a few words. The perfect marketing and communications is not a fact, is something that depends of the message, of the emissary, of the receptor, the channel, everything. And that's what makes it beautiful and interesting, because the communication process is not a science but an art and is up to us to engage every young person in the world in some way. Without communications there would be no knowledge and consciousness of what AIESEC is, without that there would be no exchanges, and without exchanges there would be no AIESEC. Also good communication inside an organization is important to keep processes constantly working and improving their performance, which would be my main goal in that position. Especially now that UBA has sustainability as one of its mainstay.

How would you like to see AIESEC in UBA in January 2015? Please identify the most important aspects of your vision and explain the key strategies of the 2014 term that will lead the organization to achieve them. Saying 'as a local committee, self sustainable in exchanges volume, leadership and finances' would be something obvious, but is true. That is what I want for my entity, to become stronger and stronger every day. To make people believe and know that UBA is one of the most motivated and capable entities and that we can do as many exchanges as we set us to. But the thing I believe is most important to achieve this is to be sustainable in knowledge and process, and in order to do that I would focus on the standardization of processes and mechanisms, helping us to grow in a sustained rhythm.

Make a SWOT analysis of AIESEC in UBA with only: 3 points for Strengths, 3 for Weaknesses, 3 for Threats and 3 for Opportunities and giving a suggestion of how you would capitalize each of these points. Weaknesses: Lack of operative knowledge, being OE and no clear financial structure Threats: Idiosyncrasy of the people in Bs As (not trustful), economical situation of the country and exchange rate policies Opportunities: Our segmentation has a big pool of potential exchangers (FCE, Medicina and Ingenieria), Bs as is a very cultural and touristic city which makes it attractive for the trainees and being near the MC and the two biggest LCs in the country Strengths: Half of the members are new and motivated so they don't have strong mindsets, our committee has a strong team-work culture and is very united, and we developed a good relationship with CAECE that enable us to have a physical space for assessments, meetings, etc.

Why CABA? Mention 3 concrete actions you would implement during your term as to increase the operations and results of the 3 entities in the city. How would you measure the success of these actions? - I would continue the meetings and team buildings between the 3 LCs but making them more often - I would aim to have more presence in events like expo empleo joven that gave us good results - I would think our planning as one entity in topics related to interaction with external agents (events, social media, etc)

What is going to be the specific role of EB 2014 for AIESEC in UBA? (Please consider stakeholders involved and current state GAPs, bottlenecks or evolutions towards your ideal.) - To consider the potential growth and have a clear structure that helps it without crumbling - To think strategies that would minimize the gap RA-MA - To define a financial structure having in mind the CEM to guarantee top quality experiences for our trainees - To improve the LEC, doing a smart planning about the opening of TLP positions and specific projects and based on the members ILPs - To have more contact with universities that may become partners bringing us space or simple presence to focus our efforts and reach more students

AIESEC is two years from reaching VISION 2015. What is AIESEC 2015? How would you ensure that we contribute to this objective? AIESEC 2015 is a mid-term vision that enables us to have a closest goal to achieve, that helps us as a global organization to focus our ways in order to grow as one in the same direction. We must have this in mind all the time and plan according to that, because we will contribute to the network as long as we are aligned to the common goals and perform in consequence.

Free this space to leave a message for your entity. AIESEC in UBA has everything to succeed; we have membership that is motivated and willing to do their part to make this world a little better. We have the potential of one of the biggest universities in the continent. We are very capable and strong, even more than we think we are. We have got everything that we need. All that's left is to realize how great we are, stop looking up to others and start looking forward to our own path, the path of greatness. We are growing and, like in life, growing may be painful and scary, but if we forget the fear, look back to our achievements, focus on our strengths and start walking forward I can promise you that nothing but great things are waiting. All we have to do is take the next step.
