Wireless Lighting Controls with Z-Wave Technology Control Your Home Lighting with the Touch of a Button!

GE’s Lighting Control products with Z-wave technology allow you to control individual or groups of lights with a compact remote control.

The GE 3-Way Dimmer Kit enables wireless control of on/off and dim functions of hard-wired incandescent lighting, and includes a primary dimmer switch and auxiliary switch for control of one light from two locations. The dimmer switches replace your current light switches, use your existing wiring, and provide Z-Wave wireless and manual control of overhead lighting. The primary dimmer switch includes an LED indicator light to easily locate the switch in a dark room. The kit is the ideal setup for lighting stairs, halls, and multi-entrance rooms.

The GE Duplex Receptacle enables wireless control of on/off functions for standard incandescent table and floor lamps, fluorescent table and floor lamps, and small appliances. The receptacle replaces your current electrical outlet, uses your existing wiring, and provides a Z-Wave enabled outlet for the lamp/ appliance that you would like to control and a regular pass-through AC outlet for other electrical devices. The receptacle requires in-wall installation with hardwired connections.

EASY SETUP! Start with a room or two and add more over time. 1. Select the lights you want to control 2. Identify the type of lighting; some examples are: • Light switch • Plug-in table or floor lamp 3. Select the appropriate GE Z-wave Lighting Control product, including a remote control 4. Install the GE Lighting Control products 5. Push the buttons on the remote, and then push the button on the light module. That’s it, you’re done!

Scenes: A scene lets you establish preset brightness levels for multiple Z-Wave controlled lights and then control them with one button. This is ideal for mood or task lighting. • Scene 1 could be the family room lights set to dim for watching TV. • Scene 2 could have the same lights set to a different brightness level for other activities like reading or entertaining

Groups: Multiple Z-Wave devices can be turned ON or OFF with a single command when they are placed into a Group. • One example would be grouping your porch light and exterior garage lights together so that they could automatically be turned ON at dusk and OFF at dawn. The GE Lamp Module enables wireless control of on/off and dim functions for standard incandescent table and floor lamps. The space-saving horizontal module plugs into a standard wall receptacle without blocking the second outlet. It provides a Z-Wave enabled outlet for the lamp you would like to control and a regular pass-through AC outlet for other electrical devices.

The GE Outdoor Module enables wireless control of on/off functions for all types of outdoor lighting. The weatherresistant housing with protective outlet cover provides one Z-Wave enabled outlet for the lighting that you would like to control. The module is ideal for outdoor seasonal lighting.

Wireless Home Lighting Control System with Z-wave Z-wave is a radio frequency, mesh network technology specifically designed for use in residential lighting control. Every Z-Wave enabled wall switch, receptacle, plug-in module, etc. (device in the network) is capable of relaying commands and utilizes two-way communications to ensure reliable operation throughout the entire home. The open-air, line-of-sight transmission distance is up to 100 feet between devices. Actual performance in a home will depend on the number of walls between the remote controller and the destination device, the type of construction and the number of devices installed in the system (multiple devices result in more possible transmission routes). The device’s ability to relay commands and acknowledge receipt of commands makes Z-Wave an ideal solution for automating and controlling lighting systems.
